Yup chook felt a bit emotional this morning cause I don't want to be induced and on the labour ward as I was really wanting the less sterile and 'hospitally' option of the MLU. But who knows! I never thought I would be 8 days overdue, I used to gasp when people would say that I could go 14 days over lol!

Yup apple had Emilia this morning :)

Oh lovely news!!! Is twink still waiting too??

longest yes I'm in for induction 8am Friday morning at 12 days overdue.. I'm hoping I get to have my baby in my arms by then though! Let's hope we all do!

Yes leanne I know what you mean I didn't want the whole have to be on labour ward monitored and pumped with drugs to start me off but if that's what needs to happen as long as baby is ok then that's all that matters... Is it just us 4 left now if twink hasn't popped?!

Yeah there is still hope!!

I feel absolutely heartbroken for a girl I know who just lost her baby at 39 weeks :( the baby was still born and I can't even begin to imagine how she must feel! So cruel to have that happen to you! Can't stop thinking about her! Makes me want this baby out and in my arms even more now!! Here is to hoping for healthy babies no matter how much longer they keep us waiting, puts everything into perspective when you hear things like that! Sad

leanne I've just found out one of the June ladies lost her son on the 26th May to a still birth.. I'm the same its put everything into perspective for me too now I don't care how late this baby is as long as they are ok... I can't begin to imagine the heartbreak they must be feeling, it's awful.

I hope the rest of us left to go have our babies in our arms soon...

Aw that is so sad chook I started crying when I heard, it just broke my heart! I don't care about my 'dream' labour or anything now, just give me a happy healthy baby that is all we can really wish for! RIP to the angel babies! X

Congratulations apple! I saw her on Facebook. She is beautiful!

So sorry to hear the news of the stillbirths. This is my worst fear. After three early losses and being told my pregnancy is "high risk" because of gd I can't quite shake the feeling I could still fall at the final hurdle. She is very active atm though, which is reassuring.

Really thought things might be kicking off last night as cramps and back ache really ramped up but they eased off as soon as I got into bed and haven't returned. Mil is coming to stay tonight though so feeling more relaxed about timing.

How are the rest of you?

longest it is awful when you hear stories so sad, but remember they are not the norm problems that late in pregnancy are rare... You will be fine and if baby is still very active then that's a great sign.. Hope you enjoy having your MIL stay and you are spoilt! Sorry to hear the pains stopped though it's such a pain in the arse when they do that isn't it!!

I'm waiting to hear from midwife today for second sweep time, God I hope this one does something!!!

leanne and twink how are you both? Any signs/news?

I didn't sleep well last night! As soon as I got into bed I felt uncomfortable and at sound 2.30 baby started kicking really hard and into my cervix, got stabbing pains and cramps non stop for about an hour and there was no real obvious breaks between the pains. Was going to give the hospital a call but as soon as I sat up the pains went and baby calmed down. Got up at 6.30am to pee and when I led back down exactly the same thing happened and the only way the pain would stop would be if I sat up! God knows what it is!

Chookford · 02/06/2015 11:47

Hopefully it's baby moving right down getting ready for birth leanne have you had anymore pains or signs that things may be moving?!

Report
leanne963 · 02/06/2015 11:49

I'm sat on my laptop and can definitely feel cramps every now and then but nothing really super painful to justify giving the labour ward a call. I hope i just have a badass pain threshold and i will go in in a few hours and be fully dilated haha!

How you feeling chook ?? Just me and you now isnt it?

Report
longestlurkerever · 02/06/2015 11:58

And me leanne! Hope your pains turn into something exciting. Mine haven't come back, boo.

Report
leanne963 · 02/06/2015 12:07

Oooh longest sorry, it is hard still knowing who is who in the facebook group haha! It is hard to know what are good pains and what are bad pains, like what if i was getting pains that meant something bad and i ignored them. This is how my anxiety messes up my thinking arghhhh!

Report
Chookford · 02/06/2015 13:17

Second sweep was a bit of a bust baby's head has moved so not down far enough for a rally good sweep... Friday is looking more and more likely now... Buggar it!

leanne try not to overthink it just monitor the cramps if they don't go away and start to increase in pain then you should prob start preparing for labour to kick in!

longest hope you have some pains return soon, this waiting for baby after going overdue is the worst!

Report
longestlurkerever · 02/06/2015 13:30

Boo chook. Hope baby engages again soon. I think I will be in for induction as well now as feel less like labour is near than yesterday. Tired though. Can't wait for mil to get here so I can have a snooze.

Nothing has really progressed, had a nap and got woken up to cramps every minute or so but they were literally lasting 5 - 10 seconds so nothing like a contraction ut something is definitely happening but I think I will be like this for a good few days!

Report
longestlurkerever · 02/06/2015 18:29

Leanne not necessarily! With dd my first cramps feeling was about 6pm and I went to hospital at midnight. Not been the same this time though. Did have a lovely kip though!
