Yay I made it to the next thread!

Just to let those of you not on fb know that baby James arrived by ELCS on Tuesday morning, weighing 8lb 12oz. He's doing great and already feeding like a pro (very different to DD!). Absolutely in love with him!

Chookford · 29/05/2015 10:00

congrats cup enjoy your baby snuggles!

ginger sorry your so down, hope this baby makes an appearance for you soon!

Gingergeek · 29/05/2015 10:32

Aww congrats cup and welcome baby James! Glad all is going well.

Thanks chook. Like I say just a self absorbed meltdown! Will try and give myself a shake!

How're you doing today?

leanne963 · 29/05/2015 10:34

Oh ginger don't apologise, if yu can't unload here where can you!? Sorry you are having such a stressful time at the moment! I can imagine being dragged around when you just wanna be at home is upsetting, I don't think people understand or remember how tiring the last few months/weeks of pregnancy are! Did you not choose to resit the exam cause you thought baby would be here by now or was it other reasons? big hug!!!

apple haha Aw that's sweet of her to bake a cake and also honour baby apple :) :) I've had a few people say they feel today will be the day, but then that just lures me into a false sense of expectation hahah!!

leanne963 · 29/05/2015 10:45

Congrats cup amazing news! Sorry I posted before refreshing page 3!!

I put up a status yesterday about how I was going for a sweep and some guy commented like 'Don't have a sweep, baby will come when ready...enjoy he last few nights of full sleep'

FULL SLEEP hahahahaha I was like 'you have obviously never been 9 months pregnant suffering from.....' and I listed off the never ending list of problems we have to go Through! A full nights sleep in late pregnancy is actually impossible! I know I sound like I moody cow but I can't have men commenting on pregnancy when they have no idea, infuriates me lol!!

Chookford · 29/05/2015 11:36

ginger I'm really fed up too.... I just want to hide away now until baby is here and ignore the "any signs" texts! I know people mean well but it's really really fucking me off now!! So you are not alone have no fear!

leanne I would be inclined to tell that dude to go fuck himself! Haha but then again I'm angry and fat! So I may not be in the best of spirits!

longestlurkerever · 29/05/2015 16:01

Congratulations cup! James is a lovely name - it was top of my list for a ds but I'm having a dd. Enjoy your snuggles.

I haven't had too many of the texts but every time I ring anyone they sound disappointed when I don't say "she's here!". Is becoming hard to be the bearer of bad tidings.

I am also sleeping just about OK as am so so tired by bedtime. Seriously not sure how I'll cope if labour kicks off at the end of a long day. Today would be good as it's been a lazy one. Come on baby!

Have just booked a holiday for August. They wanted the names of everyone in the party so I put our chosen name for dd2. It looks strange to see my family of four written down!

applecore0317 · 29/05/2015 16:48

chook, I'm largely ignoring comments like that, because it is also fucking me off. I think my family can tell that I am losing patience as most of them now ask my Mum instead.

longest aww that's lovely that you have it all booked with the planned name :) the phone call thing is annoying, I can be chatting to them and they will say "I thought you might be ringing me to tell me she has arrived..." Do they not think I would open with that!

ginger sorry you're getting dragged out and about when you don't want to, and definitely don't apologise!! I hit a whole new level of bitch on Monday... Nuclear Bitch... It's not easy waiting these last weeks.

Congrats cup!

Leanne, glad you gave him shit, have also argued back to those who tell me to make the most of sleeping whilst I can

Glad I'm not the only one feeling on the cusp of a meltdown haha!

Very vigorous sweep carried out today. Legs have felt like jelly ever since and I threw up all of my dinner :( not much cramping or a show though so not sure if anything will come of it. I wasn't sick after either of my sweeps with DS, but then they didn't work, so maybe it's a good sign (?)

Chookford · 29/05/2015 19:43

ginger hope the sweep does the trick for you!

longest holiday sounds like bliss right about now!! Must be lovely to see your baby's name all officially logged!

apple yes to be fair the last few days people have backed off a bit....think they can see I'm at the edge and could blow at any given moment!! Grin

Gingergeek · 30/05/2015 06:58

Tmi but just had a nice big bloody show! Eek!
Know it could still be days yet but definitely heading in the right direction.
Hope everyone else is well.

Aww longest that's brill about the holiday and seeing the new name all written down.
leanne I dropped out of the year completely just after finding out I had failed the exam. Mostly due to anxiety/depression issues but obviously partly pregnancy related too. I know realistically I wouldn't have managed the long days on the wards at placement as I was really struggling to cope mentally but it's still frustrating to think I maybe could have muddled on and passed this year. Am sure in time I'll feel 100% sure that the time out was for the best. Just not quite there yet.

applecore0317 · 30/05/2015 07:04

Eeek that's great Ginger, hope things move quickly for you, I haven't had much since my show on Wednesday, but lots of little red bits in the loo last night.. Sorry if TMI... Am hoping it's a good sign lol

Ha ha Chook, am glad they have backed off!

Chookford · 30/05/2015 08:28

Oooh sounds promising ginger and apple hope you both have some baby news for us soon!!

applecore0317 · 30/05/2015 09:04

Not getting my hopes up chook, went to a wedding reception last night and thought some dancing would help, managed one dance and then was too tired to dance anymore lol

OP posts:
Chookford · 30/05/2015 11:25

apple well done for managing one dance! I've just done some ironing and now need to lay down!!!

leanne963 · 30/05/2015 16:17

Aww bless you ginger I completely sympathise with the anxiety and depression! Big hugs! But good news about the bloody show! I am so eager to have one too lol!

apple Was the reception fun?! I'm not sure I could find anything remotely decent to wear now. I am officially in baggy trousers and tshirts lol!

Partner commented that my bump has definitely got smaller over the past couple days which I hear is common. Slept ok last night but waking up every 1.5 hours to pee even though I'm not drinking through the night!

applecore0317 · 30/05/2015 16:26

I'm getting up more to pee too Leanne, assu!e it's because they are lower npw. Actually had a knee length summer dress that I bought the year before last and the style of it meant that the skirt flowed out under the boobs and over the bump and was very flowly. So it was perfect :) shoes on the other hand weren't, even the flip flops were uncomfortable... Barefoot in the end lol, we only stayed for two and a half hours.

That's good that your bump looks smaller, I can't tell with mine :) just done an hour ball bouncing and DH is telling me to get back to it LOL

Lol chook, I hate ironing!!

longestlurkerever · 30/05/2015 17:10

Hello everyone. Just woke from a nap. It's the first proper one I have had all pregnancy. Thought I had better listen to my body in case it was preparing for something! Don't think so though. Feeling pretty sick and uncomfortable but that's been the case for ages now.

Due date today! Took dd to see cinderella at the cheap cinema. Nice to have a cuddle in the dark. Getting quite emotional at the thought of her having to share me soon. Will I love this baby as much as my amazing pfb?

applecore0317 · 30/05/2015 17:58

Happy Due date longest, sorry you are feeling Sicky. Ah you'll have double the cuddles, and you'll love it when they are a little older and are little friends :)

cuphat · 31/05/2015 08:53

Thanks everyone Smile

leanne963 · 31/05/2015 09:47

How is everyone today?! People are now getting impatient waiting for me...lol. If they are impatient imagine how we feel?!?! Does my body even know how to go into labour?! I'm gonna be that one rare case of lady that doesn't have that special hormone in her body that helps labour start haha! That MUST be the reason I am now 41 weeks!

Chookford · 31/05/2015 10:23

leanne I feel your pain! My midwife is on her way to do the sweep so I'm praying by tomorrow I may have had this monkey! So that would be both my children 8 days late! I breed such lazy babies!! Haha although that comes in handy later on!

Hope we have some more baby news soon!

applecore0317 · 31/05/2015 10:32

Fingers and toes crossed Chook, will be sending good sweep vibes your way!

I just don't get how I can have such a weak cervix that I was ordered to stay off work, rest and use progesterone. Then within a week and a half of stopping the progesterone my cervix shortens from 3cm to 1cm and is 1cm dilated and now 2-3cm dilated, and baby is still in there. She must be hanging onto something lol

Hope something happens today for you leanne a week over sucks

OP posts:
leanne963 · 31/05/2015 12:12

chook I can't believe our due date was a week ago! At least we will hopefully have babies this time next week! Hope the sweep works for you! I had no plug or anything since having one so I guess my body wasn't ready!

apple that is sods law isn't it? Worrying your cervix will give way, now it's just super sturdy and keeping her in snugly lol!

Gingergeek · 31/05/2015 15:01

Hope everyone is well!

Waters started trickling at 4am so rang hosp at around 5 and was told to come in to have it confirmed this morn. Went in and it's definitely my waters. So have until 830am tomorrow to deliver or I'll be induced. Countdown to baby is on!

Not had a contraction yet though :(
