Thanks apple yep I have a ball so gonna get bouncing like a Tigger! Not long home so having a cuppa. Didn't sleep much after they started going. Too excited!

Had my sweep this morning not much happening though few sharp pains but I'm not getting my hopes up! Next one booked for Tuesday morn if this one does nothing! God this baby is lazy!!

apple I was 2cm dilated baby is fully engaged and cervix thin and stretchy so I'm hoping it's all good! Been for a walk today and bouncing on my ball and told dh we are having sex tonight too which he wasn't opposed too so I will pray by tomorrow night something may have happened! But prob not....

Haha I know what you mean... I find myself counting down the days now... I'm hoping I won't need another one but as long as I avoid the induction on the 5th and baby arrives before then I will be happy!

You are all so lucky getting so many sweeps! :( my midwife did one on thursday after suggesting I not have one til this week, and im not seeing her again til this Thursday when she will be booking in my induction :( ill be 11 days over due by then! Getting fed up now, I know this sounds selfish but I would rather a c-section than be induced....

I seriously hope something happens before Thursday!

We've got two midwives at my surgery leanne, so it's easier to get appointments. Yes, third sweep, but first one was at 37 weeks.

Worth looking up some positive stories for induction, my Mum was induced with me at 8am and I popped out at 1.10pm.

Am sure something will happen for you before then x

Quick update!
Waters had started trickling at 4am Sunday so bad been up to get checked etc and absolutely nothing else happened all day.
Until about 945pm. I was getting really sharp pains and pressure down low but did not feel like contractions. DM kept saying I should phone in so rang about 1030 to get advice. Was told the usual, wait til ctx 3-4 mins apart etc. so waited some more.
Waters then started going a bit heavier and the pains subsided for a bit. Then by 1145 I was convinced I needed to head up so rang again and just said I'm coming. Even though ctx still weren't feeling real/close enough.
Had a couple of massive ctx on the way to the car and before hosp.
Was only 2-3 dilated when examined though so thought itd be ages and was going to go home. Mw convinced me would be better to stay and go to ward and that DH could stay too so chose that. Just as well...
Was only on the ward about twenty mins when the pains had really turned up a notch or ten! And I was convinced I needed to push as the Dr was putting my venflon (for abx) in. Cue much confusion and doubt from staff who are trying to get my pjs off to check but I can't move to let them.
Surprise for them that I'm now fully so whisked off to labour ward, I'm completely out of it. (Moving beds was a joy!)
Told to start pushing but they had me on my back and baby was op so pushed a few ctxs like that but asked if I could go all fours. Big help and finally delivered baby that way at 215 this morning!
So fast and lucky we didn't head home.
I'm now on postnatal ward with my gorgeous little boy (dc3,ds2).
As yet no name but loves the boob already! No wonder at a whopping 8lb12!

Come on May babies. It's June now. You're late! Hope sweeps are successful. I have my second one on Wed.

My dsis is staying tonight and hopefully wed night too and it's my induction on thurs if I get that far which dm will come down for so sod's law says she will arrive tomorrow night! Today is my last day to myself either way as have dd with me tomorrow and weds. Currently have no plans but am chilling on the sofa with my favourite CD. Feel so much better since mammoth cold has mostly sodded off but a bit bored of being on constant tenterhooks.

Leanne I second your not wanting to be induced.... I'm so fed up now I could actually cry!!!

I think I am ok about induction. I am not allowed the mlu anyway and worry my contractions could get quite intense quite quickly second time round anyway and quite fancy the controlled environment in some ways. That said I have been bouncing to try and get things moving sooner. Mw said sex and nipple stimulation is the way forward.

longest mine said the same so after the sweep yesterday we did both and still zilch! This child is just too comfy! Hope we all have some news soon... We only have one week or so then all the may babies will be induced won't they?!

Yes I was one of the last due dates (30th May) but will be induced on Thurs because gestational diabetes means they don't want me to go very overdue. Facebook would suggest baby apple might be en route, your induction is Friday and leanne is already a week overdue - is that right? Is there anyone else?
