Ooh that's good to know apple so glad it seemed to do something for you!!! Fingers crossed things will happen soon for you!!

I am getting fed up now of not being able to sleep! I KNOW everyone says 'oooh you think it's bad now' but I hate that my body is against me when trying to sleep at the moment. Tried to take a nap and spent an hour lying there with an itchy bump, achey hips, restless legs and needing to pee after 20 mins. I've never been one to be asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow, but god I want to be able to not have a million things stopping me sleeping Angry Sorry feel a bit moody lol

Scottishgal78 · 27/05/2015 17:57

Oh Leanne you have my sympathy! I feel like a different person after having Innes. Feel like myself again! You'll be feeling like yourself again soon!

leanne963 · 27/05/2015 18:29

Ha scottish I hope so! I've always suffered badly with my sleep and having insomnia but at least when I used to get really exhausted I could just have a nap! :)

Chookford · 27/05/2015 18:35

leanne trust me we all understand the moodiness! No one tells you how hard being pregnant is... Yes life with a newborn is hard work but at least your body is yours again as scottish said it makes such a difference you can nap when baby naps and breathe which is always helpful!!! It won't be long and we will all have our babies in our arms moaning about sore breasts and being up to our eyes in pooey nappies! And you will love it! Grin

longestlurkerever · 27/05/2015 19:40

Good luck apple! Sorry you're uncomfortable leanne. I reckon we will get a bit of rest when the bavies arrive, until they perk up a few weeks on anyway Grin.

Had a fun but busy day with dd. Another reason I want labour to kick off during the day. By the time evening comes I am so exhausted I don't know if I would cope. Holiday club tomorrow though and I am planning a thoroughly lazy day.

aberjen · 27/05/2015 20:39

Come on late maybies! Hope they're all here soon.

Those worrying about childcare I would def recommend calling ppl in sooner rather than later based on my own experience - DD1 was 21 h from first 'is this it?' twinge to delivery (9 h active labour). DD2 was 3 h start to finish and we ended up waking our neighbour at 1 am when we realised our pre-arranged childcare probably wasn't going to arrive soon enough. Don't want to sound scare-mongery just wouldn't want anyone else to get caught out like we were!

aberjen · 27/05/2015 20:42

Also, it might only come in 1-3 h chunks but the quality of the sleep I am getting now is sooo much better than in late pg!

Gingergeek · 27/05/2015 20:48

Ooh exciting apple hopefully some baby news soon!

I went swimming with DD tonight which was fairly brave I feel! Felt so heavy down low when I got out that I didn't think I'd make it back to the car without a delivery. Think DD was a bit nervous! DH was only five mins behind waiting for DS to finish football but I could see by the look on her face she thought she was going to deliver her new sibling in the gym car park!
Since then: nada. :(
Second the sleep thoughts. Can't wait to sprawl on my tummy again! And not need a three point turn plus to roll over in bed.

applecore0317 · 27/05/2015 21:18

Sending hugs Leanne, my sleep has also been shite for similar reasons. People keep saying make the most of uninterrupted sleep... But just one hour of comfortable sleep would be amazing!!!

Glad you had a good day longest

Ooh Ginger that would have been interesting! Sorry it's stopped :(

Thanks Chook I hope so, have had a fair few strong braxton hicks, so am hoping that's a sign... Trying not to get my hopes up though.

Scan all fine, estimated weight 7lbs 6oz, BP still high but not protein in my urine

leanne963 · 27/05/2015 22:26

Aww thank you chook haha feel bad moaning about sleep now when everyone else is probably getting less ha! But bring on the pooey nappies ha! I changed my 5 week old nephew's nappy on Saturday his little legs felt so fragile ha!

Haha longest I am the same, I said to DP I hope my waters don't break he second I get into bed at night cause I will be so exhausted......first thing in the morning?! Perfect hahaha!!

aberjen Def like the idea of quality over quantity!!!!

ginger haha the three point turn!!! Yes belly sleep is going to be sooooooo lush!!!!

apple so happy scan went well :) Oh to have comfortable sleep....ahhhhhh sounds great :)

applecore0317 · 28/05/2015 06:55

You'll have your own fragile little legs soon for nappy changing Leanne :D Is it your MW appointment today?, fingers crossed for a sweep!

I keep looking at our crib and thinking holy crap they'll be a baby in that within the next 12 days...

Intensity and pain of the braxton hicks has now died off, thought it would. Looks like I'll be rocking up for my second sweep on Monday. Will go for a walk today anyway.

Gingergeek · 28/05/2015 08:36

Sorry your pain has eased off apple. What an odd thing to say really, wishing for pains for all of us still pg!
Back at mw tomorrow for me for 40+6 sweep :(
DD off to high school today for her transition visit. So scary and emotional! Her and DS have been sharing a room with my DM being through (she's in DD's room) so there was very little sleep had by both last night thanks to DD's excitement. Meant many tears from both this morning. :( this house is going to be so hectic soon! What have I done?!? :)

leanne963 · 28/05/2015 09:16

apple thanks lovely! Yeah fingers crossed she will offer me a sweep! I feel awful today though, another night of no sleep and I've woke up with a red raw throat and full of snot :( sods law I will go into labour feeling like crap haha!! Sorry the BH didn't developed into stronger contractions!

ginger Aw wow going to high school!! Feels like yesterday I went to high school, when they say life goes fast they really mean it! What a busy household you have but I'm sure it's lovely to have lots of family around :)

Chookford · 28/05/2015 10:03

apple hope your pains return and you have some movement soon!

leanne good luck at the midwife... Sorry your feeling like pants though, hope it passes soon!

ginger a mad house is always a fun house! Grin hope you start soon this waiting malarkey is a pain in the arse isn't it!

applecore0317 · 28/05/2015 12:18

Sorry you are feeling poorly leanne, hope its just a short lived cold! With the sweep just keep talking to the midwife it will help you relax :)

Ooh high school ginger, I remember that being such a big deal when I was young :)

Fingers crossed things won't be too hectic.

Chook how are you getting on?

I've fot a pavlova in the oven... made with splenda instead of sugar because one of the NCT girls has gestational diabetes. Not convinced that it will turn out as didn't go shiny like my other ones

leanne963 · 28/05/2015 15:41

Just got back from the midwife appointment! She said she usually does sweeps after 7 days over due for comfort reasons but if I wanted one today I could have one so I snapped it up haha! Baby is engaged which is great and my cervix is forward so it's definitely going in the right direction! Still quite a thick cervix But she said that doesn't guarantee how long it takes to go into labour! So just waiting now!! She will come to my house next Thursday when I am 11 days overdue to plan the next steps but she said hopefully she will be here by then!

Chookford · 28/05/2015 16:31

apple no change here... Think I've just got to wait for the midwife and sweep Sunday morning it did the trick for me with Nellie so I'm praying it works the same this time!

Good news leanne hope you have some baby news for us soon!

longestlurkerever · 28/05/2015 16:45

Good stuff leanne. Hope the cold buggers off. It's the last thing we need eh?

No news here. One week till my induction. Come on baby!

Hope your dd enjoyed her visit ginger. Great that she's excited. My dd starts reception in September. Can't believe it! X

longestlurkerever · 28/05/2015 18:00

I have a horrible headache this afternoon. Probably related to my lingering cold but obviously googling to see if it is a sign. Most things can be if you Google hard enough.

leanne963 · 28/05/2015 18:34

Haha longest you are so right, I can convince myself I have every illness under the sun with a few choice Google key words. I had some really bad stabbing pain earlier but that was like 40 minutes ago so I doubt it was a contraction or anything! Oooh 1 week til induction, I have 1 week before my midwife discusses an induction with me! How far along are you Now?

chook I hope I have some baby news too, DP has been Googling abut sweeps and is convinced something will happen tonight or tomorrow! Ha!!

longestlurkerever · 28/05/2015 18:43

39+5. Good luck re sweep. Didn't work for me but is more likely if you're already overdue.

plinkyplonks · 29/05/2015 02:19

Good luck Maysters :) Surely not long now! :D

applecore0317 · 29/05/2015 03:15

Hope you're feeling better now longest, not long now :)

Hope something does happen leanne, it's my sister in laws birthday today and my MIL is convinced I will have the baby today to the point that she said she had made a cake yesterday in honour of hers and baby apples birthday lol, no pressure to pop a baby out in the next 21 hours ha ha

Thanks all. Dd had a great day yesterday, back again today. My DS started p1 this year longest so lots of milestones lately. Is your dd excited?
Still here and feeling mighty down in the dumps and p*d off! DM and DH wouldn't let me stay home yesterday so I was dragged out and it made me so upset. I feel like I can't make any decisions for myself or do anything for myself. Plus DM is stuck here until baby arrives, I'm sure she'd much rather be at home. And DH offered to help his friend move next week!! I was a bit Hmm Angry about that. Like he's just expecting me to still be sitting about waiting on baby. Then I feel annoyed with myself that he's also stuck waiting on me. Just feel like I'm letting everyone down. Plus it's my exam resit day today which I now would've been able to sit if I hadn't already dropped out :(
Sorry for the completely self absorbed rant. Just so bloody fed up!

Gingergeek · 29/05/2015 07:55

Oh and the rest of my family keep posting messages and poems about the baby and how they can't wait to meet him/her on fb which is lovely but it's just so much pressure! Know I'm being daft but it's making me so upset :(
