Starting this thread to preserve my sanity next January. If I join the jan lot I'll be left on my tod so...I'm 35 this will be dc4 if all goes well, cycle 2 of trying so feeling blessed.
Roll up roll up, come and join me clutching your BFP and wondering exactly what you've let yourself in for x

I had no symptons with DS1 pretty much the whole 9 months! I had clear blue digi 1-2 weeks last thurs and yesterday got 2-3 weeks with the other one in the pack!

jellypi3 · 28/05/2015 13:35

im tempted to do a digi tomorrow morning now, but i told myself i wouldn't pee on any more sticks. I got my 1-2 weeks last Wednesday (with evening urine)

twinsandapenguin · 28/05/2015 17:33

Starting to feel a bit crap today, oh joy. Just in time for my return to work next week.
Hopefully those with no symptoms will be in the feeling crap club soon too! ... Not sure if that is the right sentiment or not Hmm

twinsandapenguin · 28/05/2015 17:34

Confused chick - no symptoms the whole pregnancy? It must have been great!

Raffertys · 28/05/2015 18:05

I've resisted peeing on more sticks. Very tempting though.

I have also just had to undo my trousers on the train. I am a blimp. When does the bloat disappear? Five years ago is too long for me to remember what it was like with DS.

NoMontagues · 28/05/2015 19:37

I know raffertys First response were on 2 for 1 at my local Boots but I stopped myself. Otherwise it will turn into a daily thing.

I had mc back in 2005 and I think it can't but affect your mindset in future pregnancies. With DS I had a path beaten between my desk at work and the ladies loos, I was on non-stop knicker watch. I'll probably be the same this time except I'm at home so no coded doors to get through, which is handy Grin

oneconfusedchick · 28/05/2015 19:48

I know its good to feel ok during pregnancy but to be honest I hated it!! I felt stressed out by the whole thing and also a bit disconnected as I didn't feel pregnant! I love my baby though he is perfect!

twinsandapenguin · 28/05/2015 20:04

Raffertys - I don't remember a gap between the bloat and the bump last time!Confused

Raffertys · 28/05/2015 20:16

Oh god twins don't say that! Grin

I spoke to EPU today and even though there is no increased risk after one miscarriage, they offered to scan me at eight weeks anyway. So I have three weeks to wait until I hopefully see my little bloblet. Fingers crossed.

jellypi3 · 28/05/2015 20:23

Yay raff :) the place I'm having my scan done at are offering to do it a week earlier so I'll be 6+2 instead of 7+2

Raffertys · 28/05/2015 20:48

Jelly it's great that you don't have to wait that long. I actually had a really bad experience having a scan that early...please don't think bad of me for sharing this. My sonographer couldn't find a hb at my six week scan, and told me the baby was too small. I had to wait another week thinking the worst before I went back for another scan, which actually showed growth and a tiny heartbeat. I really hope you don't mind me telling you that; I just would never want anyone to have to go through that either. It was bloody horrible. The waiting and not knowing nearly killed me, all em cause I wanted a really early scan. I'm annoyed at my three week wait but glad that when I do have this scan they should definitely be able to see a heartbeat and measure more accurately.

Could you wait a week? Then they will definitely be able to spot a hb Flowers

rallytog1 · 28/05/2015 21:01

Are you having the scan for medical reasons jelly? Raffertys is right in that a scan at 6 weeks could cause unnecessary worry. If you can leave it to 7+ you're much more likely to get a conclusive result. Obviously if you need the early scan for medical reasons then the above doesn't apply!

The waiting at this stage is just interminable though, isn't it?

twinsandapenguin · 28/05/2015 21:16

The waiting really does seem like an age. 12 weeks is August!! It must be so hard for those who have had previous losses, I will be keeping everything crossed for those early scans ladies.
We are all playing the waiting game together

twinsandapenguin · 28/05/2015 21:19

Raffertys - the bloat was the first sign for me, like I had been constipated for WEEKS, not that I know what that is like but I am guessing. it is potentially easing off a little. Last time I had to buy bigger jeans at about 3 weeks this time my jeans are already bigger thanks to dd

Raffertys · 28/05/2015 21:59

twins that makes me feel so much better! Glad I'm not the only one. I might have to crack out the old elastic-waisted beauties at this rate...

sparklesandfizz · 28/05/2015 22:43

Hi all!
Welcome twins & congratulations.
Another day another picnic in the sparkles world.....
Have had a crazy hour tidying the house as have peeps over for lunch tomorrow.
Meeting this morning re going back to work in sept, felt slightly bad knowing I was sat there pregnant again but over it now Shock Grin

Having had bad MS in all 3 previous pregnancies I am really hoping I get away with it this time!

We're only going to Wales next week but soooo looking forward to it.

How's everyone else, this thread is lovely and chatty.

Hopitpopit · 28/05/2015 22:54

Think I need to find some elasticated waistbands too, although it might be down to the whole treat bag of maltesers I have just scoffed rather than the bloat Grin
Welcome and congratulations to the new BFPs!!
I want to hold off telling work as long as possible but I'm bursting to tell everyone at the same time. I am going to book a scan for 7 weeks, fingers crossed I last that long.

birdbrain21 · 28/05/2015 23:06

Anyone else finding their oh is annoying the hell out of them! Everything my dh seems to say or do is making me mad at the moment and I feel totally grossed out at the thought of dtd! It's going to be a long 9 months (well 8 now!) if I can't get my irritability under control Hmm

NoMontagues · 29/05/2015 00:57

Having complained about fatigue earlier I now can't sleep Confused

rallytog1 · 29/05/2015 06:05

I can't sleep either. I've been awake since 3.30 Angry Again Angry Angry Angry

I'm using the time to wonder when I can get my maternity jeans out again. I think elastic waists should be standard issue to all women, not just the pregnant ones.

Raffertys · 29/05/2015 06:26

sparkles you really have created a fab thread here!

hop it's so hard to wait to tell people isn't it...although I'm nervous about everyone knowing after 12 weeks for some reason.

bird at the moment DH isn't annoying me any more than usual but the thought of sex is just...no.

rally another vote for standardised elastic waistbands here Grin my absolute favourite part of the day is getting home from work and putting my stretchy waist jammies on. Heaven. Although I have only last week bought a nice new pair of black skinnies from Topshop which I fear won't last me long at all. Envy

Hope everyone has a lovely day. Anyone got anything nice planned for the weekend? I'm taking DS to a pizza making party Hmm

jellypi3 · 29/05/2015 07:00

Morning :)

raff I do agree, it's for a medical trial I signed up to actually so not needed but they insist it being done at 6 weeks. I've asked to push it back to 7 weeks and hope they agree!

I broke my promise to myself and peed on a digi, got my 3+ weeks :) quite happy with that because last week I got 1-2 weeks so things are progressing hopefully.

I'm having a fun weekend of cleaning. Yay.

firsttimenewbie · 29/05/2015 07:40

jelly congrats on the test. Always nice to see things are progressing!

Have a party this weekend for everyone who couldn't come to our wedding last month in Cyprus. Bit nervous about it in case either no one turns up or our younger friends think its a bit lame as its mainly a family party. Now I remember why I didnt want a big wedding in the first place! But also excited because will tell my mum about the pregnancy tomorrow- the first (and only) person we will tell before 12 weeks!

Hopitpopit · 29/05/2015 07:47

jelly hopefully they'll let you push it back. Great on the digi, I'm really tempted to go get one today! I really need to stop POAS..... maybe Wink
I'm getting irritable a lot easier too now, I think it's the tiredness.
Mmmm pizza party sounds good raff. We are off to a wedding today, it's going to be a long day for DS and I think I'll be wrecked by mid afternoon too. At least I have the excuse of driving so no one should think too hard about me not drinking.

sparklesandfizz · 29/05/2015 07:49

Yay for elasticated waists.

rally so sorry you're not sleeping, soooooo annoying.

Wet and a bit miserable here today so could be tricky keeping the three of them entertained. My default is a nice long run in th fresh air then I find they don't have energy to argue with one another. Grin

No plans this weekend except cleaning & packing.
