Oo lots of parties! Have fun ladies! My wedding planning has been put on hold the last few weeks, need to kick it up a notch again. It was a year to the day yesterday that we are getting married, so now it's less than a year the fear has set in lol. The pain of saving for a baby AND a wedding is being felt already!

twinsandapenguin · 29/05/2015 08:22

I am off to a sailor themed fancy dress hen do. Leaving dd over night for the first time I have zero enthusiasm for this.
Stretch maxi skirts are the way forward this summer Smile

twinsandapenguin · 29/05/2015 08:23

*stretchy

sparklesandfizz · 29/05/2015 08:25

jelly I blame you for the fact I have just poas! A cb digi was just lying in the drawer calling to me after your post.....
Am pleased to report am now 2-3 weeks rather than 1-2 last weekend.
Still symptom free hoorah!
newbie enjoy your party Hun! Are you wearing your dress again? ( will it fit or has the bloat got you?)

Have decided to bake with the dc's this am and am gonna wash and clean like a beastie. Baby sparkles back to her sparkling best. Eating and sleeping and everything! Fx she keeps well for the holiday.

twins try and enjoy it. Difficult when you don't fancy it but I'm sure baby will be fine! Not yet left baby sparkles but she feeds once overnight and being truthful there's no one daft enough to volunteer to have all three.

I'm going to stock up on maxi dressss for work over the summer. Luckily we won't be suffering heavy pregnancy during the hot months :)

jellypi3 · 29/05/2015 08:44

Yay sparkles for 2-3 weeks :D I'm not pissing on any more sticks now. Just wait for scans etc.

I'm 4+6 today going my LMP or 5+1 going by the day I ovulated.

I wonder when we will get more people join us :)

purdiepie · 29/05/2015 08:48

Hello Smile My name is, Purdie and I'm 43 with a fourteen month-old baby and one on the way! My daughter was conceived using donor egg and my husband's sperm via IVF, so this pregnancy is hugely exciting and unexpected. Looking forward to sharing with all of you on this journey. My LMP was 1st May and I ovulated on CD14. Does this make me 4+2?

twinsandapenguin · 29/05/2015 08:48

Indeed Jelly. Being overdue in last year's heatwave was not a lot of fun!

jellypi3 · 29/05/2015 09:06

Welcome purdie!! I must admit I am a bit of a stalker of yours, purely because you had some hilarious posts on the buses (I never joined them, I am a js'er but did follow them occassionally) so in a totally creepy way I am very happy to see your here! Welcome :) That does indeed make you 4 weeks today!

(very sorry for the extremely weird stalking haha)

jellypi3 · 29/05/2015 09:06

twins knowing my luck we will either have the coldest january/february on record or a heatwave lol

rallytog1 · 29/05/2015 09:20

Welcome purdie. Sounds like you have quite the backstory Wink Good to see you on here!

Sounds like you're all having very exiting weekends. Good luck to everyone who's going to have to not drink and keep it under the radar. Taking a glass of wine then occasionally emptying it into a strategically placed receptacle (toilet, lawn etc etc) worked for me.

We are pretty much doing nothing this weekend. But that's nice in its own way.

GoulashSoup · 29/05/2015 10:01

Welcome purdie! Congratulations.

Has anyone else been having vivid dreams yet? I have had two dreams where I have miscarried, they have been horribly graphic and leave me feeling quite shaken. I think deep down I must be more worried about the lack of nausea than I realised as I never worried this much about miscarriage last time. Last time I was spewing my guts up, but this time I've only vommed once. It's not that there is a total lack of symptoms, they are just different this time. I am trying to stay rational and possitive but the pregnancy hormone roller coaster seems to take over in my sleep.

I will re read Cheesy's happy post and give myself a talking to.

sparklesandfizz · 29/05/2015 10:28

Wow purdie that is amazing what an unexpected miracle. Just when you think you've got life Sussed it throws you a wonderful curve ball hey? You'll have the same age gap as my first two - really good fun.

Second being miserable last summer whilst heavily pregnant twins can't possibly be that bad again.

Cheesypop · 29/05/2015 10:51

Purdie welcome and congratulations! What an incredible miracle.

I'm mixed up today. I had a horrible day yesterday. I had lunch with some old friends when from nowhere one of them expressed some awful horrible ignorant views about ivf babies (without knowing what I've been through or that I am now pregnant). I stood up and left in floods of tears and spent most of yesterday afternoon weeping... Do you know that when you Google 'do ivf babies' the first suggestions are 'look different' and 'have souls'. I'm horrified by the ignorance of some people.

Anyway after a horrible day yesterday I did another digi this morning and got 'Pregnant 2-3 weeks'! Quite unexpected since yesterday was 1-2 weeks and I'm not 4 weeks yet. I'm thinking identical twins Grin

Anyway I'm determined to be positive for me and my perfect bean (regardless of what some think) and this time tomorrow I'll have the beta results and an actual doctor telling me I'm pregnant (hopefully!).

Positive thoughts to everyone and have a great Friday Cake

GoulashSoup · 29/05/2015 12:00

Exciting that the digi is looking promising cheesy. I may invest in a pack, I haven't done a digi yet so maybe that will make me feel more pregnant.

I'm sorry your friends were so insensitive yesterday. People really don't think before they speak. I know they were unaware of your situation, but it is very thoughtless. It is not just those having IVF that may choose to be discreet, you could also be the product of an IVF pregnancy. It not exactly how you would introduce yourself.

Hope today is a better day all round Brew because we can't have Wine

NoMontagues · 29/05/2015 13:02

Oh cheesy please don't let that stuff get to you. Some people haven't a clue, and those are the very people who always seem to have an opinion. It's amazing in this day and age that there is still so much ignorance floating around. Don't let their lack of knowledge and awareness impinge on your special time Flowers

I'm going to the foo fighters tomorrow, should be interesting. Drink-wise I think I'll be ok as it's just me and one friend and she'll be driving. So I wouldn't have drank anyway and she won't question that I'm just keeping her company in sobriety!

rallytog1 · 29/05/2015 13:09

Some people are so ignorant cheesy. I'd say just ignore them, but it's easier said than done when it's your friends. Hope you've got a good RL support network as well - you certainly have one on here at any rate.

Raffertys · 29/05/2015 13:24

Welcome Purdie and congrats Flowers

Cheesy I'm so sorry they said that. That is so upsetting, people can be insensitive pricks. Even if they don't mean to be. I don't understand why people would hold those views, let alone express them in public. Moronic at best.

I can't see who made the post about dreams fucking app but YES. It was horrific as I dreamt I was bleeding. After a previous mc not the kind of pregnancy dream one wants to be having...

Anyone else get soaked today? London is wet and windy and miserable. I'm even considering a log fire tonight. Is that wrong in late May? Grin

Cheesypop · 29/05/2015 13:32

Thanks everyone. I think the hormones didn't help with my non-stop crying Blush I suppose I just think, have an opinion about me if you want, but don't you dare think negatively about my precious, innocent little embryo who is already so deeply loved by two people in this world!

Anyway, enough dwelling, I'm feeling super positive about everything today!

The nightmares sound terrible! I can recommend Pukka Night Time tea if anyone likes herbal tea, I've been drinking it for a while and I'm not sure if really does anything but I like to think it does Smile

jellypi3 · 29/05/2015 13:34

i've had the MC dream, it wasn't nice :( woke up sure it was all over.

yeah if very wet and windy here (central london), hoping it clears up soon!

Cheesypop · 29/05/2015 14:31

Ooh we have glorious sunshine in Scotland. Must be the first time ever we've had better weather than London Grin

Drunkendonut · 29/05/2015 14:48

Hi ladies! Am tiptoeing in as I never thought I'd be doing this again!
Got a bfp yesterday making me 4 weeks today lmp was 1st May but Ive only had 3 week cycles recently so probably a bit out.
We weren't trying but weren't not trying either which was always going to end up this way since this will be DC #6 and I've never had the slightest problem conceiving.
In fact we only dtd twice this month pretty early on so I'm quite shocked!
My youngest dd is 4 and starting school in September, I'm now 35 and there will be almost 20 years between this one and my eldest who is at university??????
Looking forward to chatting!

Raffertys · 29/05/2015 17:21

Hi donut. Welcome and congrats Grin. My ds is four and starting school in September too - scary and exciting! How are you feeling?

I seem to have developed a mega-zit. It's one of those fuckers that feels like a bruise when I prod it. Anyone else breaking out like a teenager? Hmm

I caved and nipped into topshop on the way home from work (only bonus to working in central London) and bought myself and my bloat a pair of their maternity jeans. I'm bursting out of my normal ones. I know it's only fat and air, but by the end of the day I'm horrendously uncomfortable almost to the point of pain. I may have also bought a twin pack of CBDs to wee on again (not from topshop).

Everyone having a good day?

jellypi3 · 29/05/2015 17:22

Wow drunken 6 dc's!! That's incredible! You are now the wealth of all knowledge in relation to baby stuff on this thread haha!! Congrats tho ;)

The bloating has set in! I really want to fart but think it's a bit inappropriate on the train Wink
