Thinking of you fufus!

Still no symptoms from me Confused

First app at doctor later so will let you all know what she says. Im in London.

olijennerbubs · 04/06/2015 14:05

Thanks Jelly I guess I will just have to be patient and wait for the midwife to call. This is my first pregnancy and completely unplanned (was on the contraceptive pill) so I feel like everything is moving slowly Confused. I want to discuss the pregnancy but it's really hard to do that not having any clue as to how far along I am and whether I should be telling people before a certain time Smile.

Welcome Rose and congratulations Smile xx

Boobear1983 · 04/06/2015 14:35

Hope you're feeling ok raffs. I haven't had any symptoms other then really sore boobs ..no nausea at all so far. I think I'm 6 weeka next week so maybe it'll kick in then

olijennerbubs · 04/06/2015 14:47

I have sickness, heartburn, sore boobs, hot flushes, strong sense of smell, can't sleep.. I'm happy to share these with anyone Wink. Trying to hide all of these at work is proving difficult.

purdiepie · 04/06/2015 15:04

Thanks, Brummie, I will take your word for it, love. Will they be able to detect a hb next Friday? I thought you had to be 6+3.

Welcome, Rose!

nightandthelight · 04/06/2015 15:22

Has anyone else worked out mat leave? Looks like DH will be taking two weeks paternity leave and me 26 weeks mat.

jellypi3 · 04/06/2015 15:33

not thought about it properly yet night but i'd take the full year ideally. We get 12 weeks full pay, 26 weeks SMP and the rest no pay but do acrue holiday and bank holiday's in that time so I would use the holiday and BH's plus bonus money to cover the last few months i think

nightandthelight · 04/06/2015 15:39

Nice jelly :) I will probably tag some annual leave onto mine. I am main breadwinner though (although that might change in September) so can't afford to go onto just SMP :(

jellypi3 · 04/06/2015 15:44

ah that's crap :( DP and I earn similar amounts (he earns about 15% more than me) but his earning potential is higher than mine and he actually enjoys his job whereas i hate mine so it works out well for us

nightandthelight · 04/06/2015 15:55

T'is my fault for marrying a younger man and wanting children in my twenties! If we had waited our financial position would probably be very different but I am inpatient Grin

jellypi3 · 04/06/2015 16:15

haha how much younger is younger if you don't mind me asking?

Raffertys · 04/06/2015 16:17

I can smell and hear EVERYTHING today. There is a prick next to me on the train eating a Magnum and I can hear every fucking bite. I want to punch him.

nightandthelight · 04/06/2015 16:22

Only 2.5 years jelly but when in your mid twenties that makes quite a big difference career wise!

jellypi3 · 04/06/2015 16:25

ah yes it does make a big difference night :)

raff just nick it from him

Raffertys · 04/06/2015 16:28

jelly He ate it too quickly Envy

I'm raiding the freezer for DS' mini Fabs when I get home.

olijennerbubs · 04/06/2015 16:29

I'm in my mid 20's *night8 and my boyfriend is the same age, however trust me it seems like he's a lot younger sometimes Smile

nightandthelight · 04/06/2015 16:34

Mine always seems so old oli! Strange things men Grin

Brummiegirl15 · 04/06/2015 16:44

Purdie my scan isn't to look for a hb (although brucie bonus if it's there) it's to check it's not ectopic/ make sure sac etc is in right place so they can prescribe my daily heparin injections. In the stomach. Every sodding day. I admit I'm not looking forward to them as apparently they really sting!!!

I have to have those as suffered recurrent miscarriage. It's to protect the placenta cells whilst they develop.

elephantfeet · 04/06/2015 17:38

I called the midwifery unit today, I said I have no idea when lmp was so have been booked in for a dating scan a week today. And DP will get home that day so he can come too Smile

pretzelpieces · 04/06/2015 17:55

Welcome and congratulations to new folks Grin

I had my appointment with my GP today! It went fine. I read her my list of questions etc and she said nothing of immediate concern (including pain in right side that is worrying me). Booked in for first appointment with midwife at 8 weeks (23rd June). Keeping everything crossed for the next 2 and a half weeks!

She's going to ask the EPU if they'll offer an early scan but says they may well say no so not really expecting anything to come of that. Only reasons they might are the weird pain and the high result on my digi (to see if I might be further along than I thought).

RattyCatty · 04/06/2015 18:09

pretzel I just had my first doc app too. She was very relaxed, asked me to do a urine sample to check for any infections, asked which hospital I wanted to go to, took my dates & said the hospital/midwives would be in touch with letters for apps to see midwife and first scan between 10-13 weeks in next few weeks.

If all goes well over next few weeks (fingers crossed!) I'm not sure whether to pay for an early scan?

I asked her about my lack of symptoms & she said not many women get symptoms so early so that reassured me a little!

Tiredoftiredness · 04/06/2015 18:36

Welcome newbies!

No symptoms here either, but was exactly the same last time and have a healthy DS to show for it so trying not to worry didn't work last time

Can I ask when people with older DC are planning to tell them? I'm thinking after the 12week scan to avoid potential upset, but I'm sure he's going to hear me and DH muttering about it before then, DS even asked if I had a baby in my tummy this morning after I asked him not to drop kick my belly!

purdiepie · 04/06/2015 18:49

Brummie, I understand. I injected my belly and thighs with Clexane for 36 wks of my ivf pregnancy. I missed it when told to stop Hmm
