Valiant that's exciting! Go for it, if it's your dream job don't let it pass you by. Congratulations Smile

jellypi3 · 04/06/2015 07:57

We've also told both sets of parents (well his parents, my grandparents), plus our closest mates. Might tell my boss after my 7 week scan but not sure at the moment.

Those with vanishing symptoms try not to worry. It is all part of the process. As your hormones rise and drop your symptoms will come and go.

I've had sore boobs since my LMP, I swear to god they just never go. They are super painful all the time, I used to get painful boobs during the TWW but this is something else!!

5+5 today, the days are going so slow!!

Hopitpopit · 04/06/2015 07:58

roo welcome and congratulations! I think a lot of ladies have breakthrough bleeding when they would have had their period and it all works out fine. But I understand the worry. The waiting around and time dragging is the worst. Hope you have a stress free ride from here.

jellypi3 · 04/06/2015 07:58

Welcome roob :) congratulations. Try not to worry about the bleeding. It's very very common to have what's called a breakthrough bleed when AF is due, it's caused by your hormones fluctuating causing a small bleed.

RattyCatty · 04/06/2015 08:07

I have zero symptoms except funny feelings in my nipples, but not all the time Confused

Trying not to google!

pretzelpieces · 04/06/2015 08:19

Welcome roob and congrats on your welcome home dtd baby! Grin

I've got my GP appointment today to let them know I'm pg and ask them my thousands of questions

Feeling sick again and glad I made the most of not feeling so ill yesterday and tried not to worry. It's true that it fluctuates - but I do find it reassuring when I feel pregnant ie sick as a dog Hmm

nightandthelight · 04/06/2015 08:21

Welcome roo!

I feel absolutely awful today. Not nauseous but exhausted and just run down :( tonight I have my counselling course and it is the start of the assessments so I will have to do three hours on a train, be assessed and not get home till 10!

tossedsalads · 04/06/2015 09:22

Zero symptoms here the past two days. I keep forgetting about it for an hour or two at a time as I feel so normal. Don't know whether to be relieved that I'm not sick or worried that I'm not sick.
Not telling anyone at all here as I'm managing to convince myself it's all going to go wrong in the next couple of weeks. 6 years ago I had a very early miscarriage at this time of year and i think its freaking me out a bit. Have had two healthy pregnancies since but the niggling worry is still there.

Raffertys · 04/06/2015 09:33

Those of you without nausea...enjoy it Envy

I'm also going off tea. This happened with DS and signals the start of proper morning sickness. I BLOODY LOVE TEA

Hello newbies xx

pretzelpieces · 04/06/2015 10:22

Same, raff usually I love tea but lately i can't face it! Confused

Brummiegirl15 · 04/06/2015 10:36

Raff I'm going off Diet Coke. Probably not a bad thing but I'm gutted.

I felt so sick yesterday evening and even throughout the night. I don't feel too bad today but definitely not 100%

Wished I'd booked a GP appointment a bit earlier - although I know the date I have got it is absolutely fine (Monday 15th) plus I'd rather go after my early scan.

An confused about my dates. First day of last period is 1st May which would make me 4+6 today.

However apparently that is only based on 28 day cycle and if shorter or longer you adjust it.

So according to the NHS website I'm actually 5+2 and due 2nd Feb and not 5th Feb

Basically I'm around 5 weeks!

jellypi3 · 04/06/2015 10:58

brummie i just counted from my LMP, according to the NHS i'm further along than the conventional 28 days because my cycles are 24 days long, but i'm just counting back from my LMP for how far along I am

jellypi3 · 04/06/2015 11:00

according to the NHS i'm 6+2, but according to counting back from LMP i'm 5+5!

PaulineGrigio · 04/06/2015 11:09

Hi all,

Can I join? I'm due end of Jan / beginning of Feb. I'm 37 and this will be my second & DD (17m) was late so am thinking it will be a Feb baby!
Currently sat on a train feeling like I might vom. Yay for morning sickness.
We have timed this all very well... Currently week 1 of a 14 week building project... No kitchen for quite sometime. Luckily I have masses of prawn cocktail crisps!! For some reason only the thought of a Greggs cheese and onion pasty is soothing my stomach right now!

Hope all are well & congratulations!!!

jellypi3 · 04/06/2015 11:16

welcome and congrats pauline :) i've had some very odd cravings recently. My big thing at the moment is sour things so salt and vinegar crisps, lemons (yes, whole lemons) and sour sweets. Really fancy a pasty now though lol

Boobear1983 · 04/06/2015 11:17

Congratulations to all the new peeps. I'm so confused about telling work. Basically im in a front line police officer and i get sent to lots of confrontational situations. I'm only 5 weeks but constantly fretting about what I'm going to get sent to next. I have told my sgt and she said i can go on restricted duties whenever i want.

PaulineGrigio · 04/06/2015 11:25

jelly -I know!! All I want is carbs and sour stuff ... Am on a pasty hunt & will wash down with Haribo tangfastics

Roo - best not to stress imho & think of the mumsnetting you can do from the office!

Raffertys · 04/06/2015 11:43

Hello new peeps! Love seeing so many BFPs join the thread.

boo I thought officers were normally put on 'office' duties straight away. Only think this because I've seen a pregnant officer on here before and all her colleagues knew at five weeks because she wasn't on frontline duty any more. I guess it's up to you though love, whatever you feel comfortable doing.

Definitely gone off tea. I would have normally done 3+ cups by now but I drank a few sips of one and it turned my stomach. I'm relying on Pret ready salted crisps to keep me sane.

Hope everyone is having a fab day.

Boobear1983 · 04/06/2015 12:11

Raff - yes once we officially 'announce' it we would be put on office duties straight away. I'm just wondering when to officially announce it, being so early

purdiepie · 04/06/2015 13:17

Brummie, my lmp was 1st May, which was 35 days ago, yes? That means we are 5wks today no? I ov'd on cd14.

purdiepie · 04/06/2015 13:18

Pauline, do not succumb to the cravings for Dreggs. That way fatness lies.

Brummiegirl15 · 04/06/2015 13:30

By LMP Purdie we will be 5 weeks tomorrow. 4+6 today as my scan has been booked for exactly 6 weeks from LMP which is next Friday for me

olijennerbubs · 04/06/2015 13:41

I went to the Drs on Monday and they said the midwife would be in touch. Does anyone know how long this usually takes? I don't know when I conceived as it wasn't planned and I am anxious for my dating scan to know how far along I am. However I have been told the dating scan wont be booked until I see my midwife and could be a further couple of weeks after. I'm worried about waiting another 4 weeks potentially to find out how far along I am. Does it really take that long?

jellypi3 · 04/06/2015 13:51

normally you see the midwife between 8-10 weeks olijenner because the risk of mc is lower at that stage

Rufus200 · 04/06/2015 13:51

Update - so far today no coloured discharge but also no nausea. POAS this am and there was still a line. This 48 hrs is so far the longest of my life!
