Morning everyone, thought I'd pop over and say hello because I've not been on here for a while. Welcome to anyone who has joined recently!

After all my symptoms disappearing, I woke up in the night feeling so sick and still feel it now Hmm hope I can get through work....

jellypi3 · 02/06/2015 07:07

I'll probably tell my boss after my early scan (so 7 weeks) because if I need time off or want to work from home it's more justified. I will put it in writing however that he's not to inform anyone except for HR.

NoMontagues · 02/06/2015 08:43

raf yes it's freezing here, we had to go around the house last night and turn back on all the radiators, which we had only turned off last week.

I'm hoping the rain holds off so I can take DS out in the buggy after his nap. DD is on the first day of her summer hols, here in Ireland the secondary school children get 3 full months off for summer.

jellypi3 · 02/06/2015 09:01

I was so hot on the train this morning i thought i was going to faint! also had the worst wave of nausea, i think it's because I took my Pregnacare vitamin in the morning with breakfast instead of in the evening with dinner, honestly thought I was going to throw up on the person in front of me!

rallytog1 · 02/06/2015 09:11

Oh no jelly! Hope you made it in to work with your breakfast still intact.

I'm feeling completely symptom-less and have done for a couple of days now. I think it was pretty similar for be last time (the symptoms all kicked off in the second tri) but it's giving me nagging doubts. A 12 week scan feels a long way off!

ClareC85 · 02/06/2015 09:46

Hi ladies, could I join your group you all sound very supportive .. I'm 5 weeks gone and due 6th February ... I have terrible lower back ache and feeling sick during the morning ATM ... 12 week scan feel so long away!... booking appointment on 15th .. I just want to know all is ok and healthy I wasn't prepared for how worried I'd be after bfp! lol

jellypi3 · 02/06/2015 10:08

ahh can't believe some of you have your booking app's already! i've been given a form with loads of blood test requests but no appointment with the midwife yet!

jellypi3 · 02/06/2015 10:16

oh welcome clare :) congrats

nightandthelight · 02/06/2015 10:37

I've been given an appt jelly but no blood tests! What are they for?

Brummiegirl15 · 02/06/2015 11:40

My boss and my Director were great. They've stopped me travelling to Brussels in a few weeks which I'm relieved about and left it up to me about whether I cancel an overseas trip this weekend for work

Lamaitresse · 02/06/2015 12:02

Oh jelly poor you, hot flushes are horrible! Glad you managed not to throw up on anyone Grin

Welcome Clare and congratulations! Is this your first?

I went to the gp y'day and had a blood test, she said she'd text me the results later this afternoon - I'm scared all these pg tests are wrong and it's all in my head Grin so am hoping for a nice high (but not too high!) hCG level.
Re work, I've already had to tell mine Shock I'm a kindergarten assistant so told the teacher & other assistant I work with last week as I was feeling so rough. Have been signed off this week and next so needed to explain to the lady in HR - she was lovely and said it was wonderful news Smile They know my history and went through every step of IVF with me for dd, and they know how poorly I get when pg. I feel v lucky to have such understanding employers (hope it continues!)

Who was it who said that progesterone can make symptoms worse? It would explain why I was so sick so fast last time round. I'm surprised that I'm still able to eat and drink to be honest, although can only stomach pita bread and noodles Hmm
Anyone else not able to eat much?

jellypi3 · 02/06/2015 12:08

night the tests are for standard things, STD's, iron level (i think) and a couple of other tests

Mawsymoo · 02/06/2015 12:22

Welcome Clare.

Sorry to hear people are starting to feel queasy. Chintaria I definitely lose my appetite in pregnancy - I'm not too bad so far but definitely not feeling the love for food at the moment.

I booked in to the hospital this morning - I have my first appointment on 13th July. It feels like a lifetime away - if things go well over the next few weeks I might book a private scan for around 8 weeks. I wish I could go to sleep and wake up then - I'm getting nervous Sad

nightandthelight · 02/06/2015 12:27

Thanks jelly :)

I know just how you feel maw, my heart is in my mouth every time I go to the loo in case I see bleeding! Time is going so slow :( I have booked an early scan and that is making things seem nearer so I would say go for it Grin

Lamaitresse · 02/06/2015 12:28

The nervousness is awful Mawsy - do you swing from hoping all is well to thinking the worst? The next few weeks are going to drag...

Raffertys · 02/06/2015 12:43

Totally agree with the time dragging thing...HURRY UP 8 WEEKS

Mawsymoo · 02/06/2015 12:43

Yes I'm getting more and more nervous as time goes on - I had my 2 miscarriages around the 7-8 week mark and then on my last pregnancy (which was successful by some miracle) I developed a clot in the uterus and starting bleeding heavily at 6 weeks. I bled for 10 weeks and was in and out of hospital constantly. So in my head it all starts to go wrong after 6 weeks - which I will be in a few days.

I'm not going to book a private scan just yet as if I do start bleeding I will end up in the EPU anyway. I don't think there are waiting lists really so if all is good by 7 weeks I'll ring up and book one.

Raffertys · 02/06/2015 12:53

It's so bloody hard after a previous loss isn't it? I had an early scan at 6+5, which in hindsight was far too early. I thought it would be fine. Those dates put me back a week, so I had to wait and have another scan a week later. Worst week ever. Horrendous. Next scan showed progress and a heartbeat. Unfortunately it wasn't meant to be.

My EPU have offered me a scan at 8 weeks this time and I'm so glad; the thought of another private scan fills me with horror.

Drunkendonut · 02/06/2015 13:08

I'm completely paranoid!
My 2 losses were both before 5 weeks so just chemicals really. But I always get really really bad cramping in my healthy pregnancies. I'm getting loads and I keep having to remind myself it's a good thing even though it feels like a bad thing iykwim? With my early losses I had no cramping.
Knicker checking, line checking, boob squeezing loon here!

Vroomer33 · 02/06/2015 13:16

Awful night for me. I've had a mc overnight. I fainted and fell down the stairs. Thankfully I'm relatively unharmed.

Best wishes to everyone for happy healthy pregnancies

GoulashSoup · 02/06/2015 13:20

Vroomer that is awful. I hope you have some support. Be kind to yourself Flowers.

Lamaitresse · 02/06/2015 13:20

Oh vroomer I am so sorry to hear that Sad You must be so shocked. I hope you've got someone looking after you. Will be thinking of you Flowers

RattyCatty · 02/06/2015 13:22

Hi ladies!

May I join? BFP last week but because of irregular periods after the pill I'm not 100% sure when I'm due - think 5th feb!

Hi Clare from other thread! Grin

No really symptoms yet except occasional uncomfy nipples?!

Also terrified of miscarriage as had no idea how common it was. TMI but do you guys have more discharge than normal? I keep having to rush to the loo as I keep worrying it's blood.

I'm a teacher too!

Are you all having early scans? First doc app on Thursday eeek!

Time definitely does feel like it is standing still!

Fingers crossed for us all xx

RattyCatty · 02/06/2015 13:23

Vroomer I'm so sorry to hear your loss. Be kind to yourself & rest lots xx Flowers

Mawsymoo · 02/06/2015 13:24

So far I'm not as bad this time as I was last time - but it's early days! It was absolutely unbearable the last time as I was just expecting the 3rd loss and to go down the road of miscarriage testing etc, because of a comment that the sonographer made that because both times they stopped developing at the same point there must be a genetic issue. I didn't tell immediate family til 13 weeks, friends until 17/18 weeks and work colleagues until 20 weeks. I was just too sure it would all end.

Anyway here's hoping the time will start passing a little quicker for us all!
