Roll up roll up, come and join me clutching your BFP and wondering exactly what you've let yourself in for x

Pretzel it's totally normal for symptoms to come and go. I had no nausea or sickness at all with dd and was terrified something awful had happened. 12w scan showed a healthy baby of the correct size, and then the nausea kicked in with a vengeance at 14 weeks!

It's really hard to feel positive when symptoms come and go, or don't conform to what the books say. I'm just as anxious second time around. But at least we have this lovely group of helpful and reassuring people Smile

birdbrain21 · 01/06/2015 11:08

chintaria I'm not sure I understand what you mean with my dates. I know my last period started on the 21st of april and that I got pg between 6-8th May (my fertile window) but I'm not sure how many days between each period to be able to work out when my next one was due and how many weeks I am, I just guessed roughly when I should have tested.

Was at a wedding yesterday, I'm never a big alcohol drinker anyway and all my friends know that but felt really weird to not even have a small drink. I actually wanted one as well, I guess you always want what you can't have!

birdbrain21 · 01/06/2015 11:10

I'll fill in the stats later, I'm just off to the doctor this afternoon but having had a quick look I've noticed sparkles is also from Manchester. You're older then me (I'm 23) but I wonder if we know each other!!!!!!! What hospital are you hoping to go to?

purdiepie · 01/06/2015 11:21

My lmp was 1st May. If I buy a digi test what should it say? I ov'd on cd14 and am 4+6. Thanks.

Vroomer33 · 01/06/2015 11:33

I'm feeling a bit rough this morning. Ovary pain today as well as a bit of brown spotting. Haven't had any any spotting since implantation. But brown is ok??

pretzelpieces · 01/06/2015 11:42

Brown spotting meant to be ok vroom, red blood less so.

Thanks rally, so true. It's great to have people to talk to at the same stage.

purdie I'm not sure I'm afraid, but I'm sure someone will know.

jellypi3 · 01/06/2015 11:57

purdey I'm going to give a voice of caution here. Don't expect a certain number of weeks, just that is says pregnant. Those tests aren't hcg monitors and often give results that people think are too low and cause panic. I would say expect 2-3 but don't feel like all is over is you get 1-2. :) you ovulated the day after me!

jellypi3 · 01/06/2015 11:58

Oh no you didn't sorry my bad, a week after me ;)

purdiepie · 01/06/2015 13:14

Thanks. Think I'll stay away from them. Feeling rough as a badger's rectum right now and want to go home Envy

TheColourGreen · 01/06/2015 13:14

Hello all and gratz! :)

I got my BFP Friday 29th May :)

This is my second preg (m/c 2011) but I'm feeling quite relaxed and happy this time round as I'm LCHF and feeling great :)

My early symptoms were; I got a cold and a big cystic pimple on my chin! A few days before I tested I found myself ravenously eating out of the fridge while my breakfast was cooking... I had a really strange episode of hayfever-like symptoms that lasted just one evening; my eyes were watering and I couldn't stop sneezing; there was no pollen count and the weather was quite cold and damp. Also had restless sleep, very vivid dreams. I smelt mould in my shower head & could strongly taste the metal of a metal drinks container!

I tested with Clearblue Digital 4 days before AF due & got my BFP. Tested again the evening of the next day and got another. AF due tomorrow- but I don't think we'll see her ;) My cervix was low and smooshy like lips until yesterday when it retreated up. My boobs are starting to swell already and I have tummy bloat; some of my tighter jeggings are already starting to protest at being zipped... lol.

Hope you are all well :) x

Brummiegirl15 · 01/06/2015 13:16

My advice ladies - step away from the tests. No good can come it. On my 3rd mc it took 3 weeks after surgery to become negative.

A line is a line, it's there too stay and will only upset you all if they don't behave as you expect Sad

purdiepie · 01/06/2015 13:21

True dat.

accidentaldancer · 01/06/2015 13:29

Purdie sorry to hear you aren't feeling well Flowers hope you feel better soon.

I'm frantically trying to get work finished before going on holiday tonight. Also trying to fill in the forms that I picked up at the Dr's this morning so I can return them later!

I'll probably be off now for a week but look forward to catching up with you all when I get back.

jellypi3 · 01/06/2015 13:41

True words brummie!

My early scan is now confined for 12th June!!

Welcome thecolor :)

Raffertys · 01/06/2015 13:57

purdie Hope you feel better very soon, love. Is it possible for you to go home and rest, or are you stuck at work? As jelly says, those CBDs are bastards. They progressed as they should with my last pregnancy, which ended in MC. Conversely, other women have had 1-2 with no progression in dates and had a wonderfully healthy baby. I think (annoyingly) the only way for us all to be sure is HCG levels and scans Sad It's so frustrating.

vroomer, any kind of bleeding should be checked out, especially if accompanied by pain. I used to believe the myth that brown blood was 'old blood' and therefore ok, but that's not always the case. I had brown blood / discharge at seven weeks with DS and he was born happy and healthy. However, brown blood is also how my mc started. I'm really not trying to be negative, I promise, but any bleeding is worth getting checked out, just to be icon the safe side Flowers

Welcome green! Congrats on your bfp.

Have a great holiday, accidental

jelly that's great news and not too long to wait

Hope everyone is having a fab day.

pretzelpieces · 01/06/2015 15:04

It lost my message and I've forgotten what I wrote! Angry

green welcome! And congratulations!

purdie I'm feeling sick again as well. Uuuuuiirgh

purdiepie · 01/06/2015 15:26

Thanks Raff et al. I am currently on an unpaid work placement with the council with the possibility of a contract at the end of it. However, I hate it and so I just told my boss I'm pregnant in the hope he'll sack me off at the end of it Grin

Accidental, enjoy your hols love.

jellypi3 · 01/06/2015 15:36

unpaid?!?? blood hell i'd not get out of bed if it wasn't for the money i'm getting for my efforts

jellypi3 · 01/06/2015 15:40

you're clearly a much more giving person than me purdey Wink

TheColourGreen · 01/06/2015 16:55

Anyone else found their temper has worsened? I'm a bit of a road rager anyway but someone gently beeped me for nothing this afternoon and I went ballistic! Mama Bear indeed... lolllll

Boobear1983 · 01/06/2015 17:05

Hello everyone. I got my bfp this afternoon, we've been trying for no1 for 10 months and i had resigned myself that it wasn't going to happen so it was quite a shock! Af is one day late but I still got this strong line. I've been feelong really ill for a week, thought i had a bug but turns out not. Other then that I've just had normal af signs, sore boobs, stomach cramps and terrible skin!

Feb 2016 early early days...
purdiepie · 01/06/2015 17:17

Congrats Boobear*.

Jelly, for reasons I won't go into I am largely unemployable, so the offer of this work placement was a gift. I haven't worked for eight years and it has been good to see what the rat race is all about once again. Working full stop is a pile of horse shit, IMO. I can see I've not been missing owt Grin

jellypi3 · 01/06/2015 17:46

Ah sorry your in a tough position purdey hope I didn't offend. I'm already sick of working and I've only been out of uni 4 years.

Welcome boobear congrats that's a very healthy line for 1 day late!! :)

Anyone having cravings? I'm sure it's too early for them but all day all I have fancied is a burger with onions and a cheese slice. Literally all I've thought of all day.

nightandthelight · 01/06/2015 17:58

Welcome boo :)

What did your boss say Purdie? How long left on your placement?

Brummiegirl15 · 01/06/2015 19:03

Had my first real "aversion" today. Was sat on a training course and the guy next to me had a cup of coffee at points during the day. You know cheapie catering black coffee.

Oh my god the smell. It was horrendous!!!!! I had to excuse myself several times so I could go to the loo and do deep breathing!

Booked my GP appointment today for 2 weeks today when I'll be 6+3 weeks. We have to go via GP to get referred to midwife. But got my 6 wk scan the Friday before, and my follow up consultant appointment that afternoon - so midwife will be the last person I see at this rate!

Hope everyone is good today
