We've had a lovely weekend. Lots of family and love. Spent the day with just OH today, he starts his new job tomorrow so wanted to spend some time together.
We're hoping baby boy stays put for another few days now, Thursday at least so he can get his inductions done at least.
Boy I have some massive cankles today!!

Stinkylinky · 29/06/2015 04:49

Waters went last night at 10pm, at the hospital now, contractions 2 mins apart but only 3cm dialated. Had some pain relief so hopefully will be able to sleep a little as so very tired

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 29/06/2015 05:41

Good luck Stinky! Must hope things have progressed for you and you have your baby now or very soon!

My milk has come in so I'm awake and uncomfy with giant boobs and a resolutely sleeping baby who won't be persuaded to more breakfast Grin am I right that expressing is not recommended as it might overstimulate supply?

jmojo · 29/06/2015 05:57

mister that is right. You get the over engorgement for a few days then the blood and milk in your boobs will settle. Use a warm flannel and massage before and during a feed, and then a cold compress and savoy cabbage leaves (needs to be savoy) in your bra inbetween. They reduce swelling and engorgement of the breast.

jmojo · 29/06/2015 05:59

stinky great stuff, hope you are quick!

Stinkylinky · 29/06/2015 06:11

I'm at 4cms now! Contractions seem to be mainly in my back which is very painful so I'm taking all the drugs offered to me! despite my claims of doing everything naturally!

Will keep you all updated with my progress and I hope you all make the most of the lovely weather today Smile

Raines100 · 29/06/2015 07:08

Congratulations Mister! What lovely news. Can't believe we've had so many arrivals already.

Best of luck to Must and Stinky. Keep us updated.

Ah, I have labour envy now! Grin 35+6

Naturegirl82 · 29/06/2015 07:23

Good luck stinky hope you progress quickly.

Thepurplegiraffe · 29/06/2015 07:40

Good luck Stinky and Must. Thinking of you!

charlieis30 · 29/06/2015 08:07

yay stinky and must!

I've been having terrible leg cramps at night, woke up yelling and really freaked DH out, I think he thought I was in labour! None of the suggested things like stretching during the day, warm baths before bed, vitaimins etc seem to be helping.

smallgreenbanana · 29/06/2015 08:59

Hope things have gone well this morning stinky

Had a lot of period-type BH last night and stabby pains and wondered if I would wake up in labour, but back to normal this morning so I think it's just practice and could still be ages yet. Very helpful for preparing DH though - his motivation to get stuff done is better when he thinks things are imminent!!

NurseP · 29/06/2015 09:00

Ooh. Looks like some of these babies won't make it till July! Naughty baby has been a bit quiet so going in for monitor today. Feel all queasy and worried and partly like it might be fuss over nothing ( family mantra- don't make a fuss! ) best to be sure though and see what's going on with him. Hope for more babies when I check in later! Can't keep up enough to post regularly as phone keeps playing up! X x

smallgreenbanana · 29/06/2015 09:14

Good luck for your scan nursep As you say, best to be sure Smile July starts on Wednesday - when I'll be 39 weeks - so every chance my LO will hang on until then I think!

ohlordyplordy · 29/06/2015 09:19

Good luck Stinky and nursep.
First day of mat leave here. Started the day by listening to my hypno birthing cd, and plan to do some cooking to stock the freezer.

Number3cometome · 29/06/2015 09:20

Good luck Stinky!

37+1 here, all good at my check up in Mac today so off home now to watch crap TV and eat.

Work tomorrow, but at least twice weekly check ups make it a shorter week!

Clstow · 29/06/2015 09:34

Good luck to Stinky and Must - yay for more babies... Will there be any left by July?! Mine is staying in for sure, I've got two more weeks at work, and I want some feet-up time!

Had my baby shower yesterday which was brill, feel totally loved and spoilt, and now wondering where on earth we're going to put everything Grin

SueV14 · 29/06/2015 10:40

Good luck to all of you who are in labour, hope things go really smoothly! Xo

Stinkylinky · 29/06/2015 11:41
