Hi marking place. Pleased everyone seems well. I am just starting to think about booking my flight back to the UK now. I have a doctors apt in a week or two so may wait until then. Feels like tempting fate to do it sooner!! Wink

MrsFbabyNo1 · 21/05/2015 20:46

meeska, I think its cus he's really not bothered by sweet treats whatsoever. I however love sweets, full fat pop, etc it's my one main vice so he sees me eating chocolate, sweets then full cartoons of fruit juice and thinks blimey! He often mentions bout my sugar intake and I just tell him to get lost - I'm a normal weight and so obv burn it off!

I've told him when bf you just need calories, calories, calories, he says yeah nutritious ones and I say everyone just says cake cake cake! Grin [g

I've not thought of the tummy muscle thing yet but found this article which I thought was useful if people want to also have a read...

JoY you seem v clued up on exercisey stuff any tips from you on what you're doing?

broodylicious · 21/05/2015 20:51

charliej, great choice on sling - we have a close caboo and got on really well with it. Perfect for those early days. As it's pre-tied, it's easy to put on and adjust. We will get a Tula or ergo carrier when baby is a little older.

Luckystar82 · 21/05/2015 21:31

32+3 weeks today

I'm with everyone else. I prefer the anonymity on here to FB. Just annoying how the MN site isn't that good on mobiles. I too hope people will come back to update us.

Anyone else feeling very full and struggling to eat? I'm away on a work trip so not eating my normal food. Only managed small breakfast, couldn't get lunch as I was somewhere without shops. But wasn't hungry. Sat down to 3 course hotel dinner - only managed the salad starter and a few chips off main course. I just don't feel hungry! Will my poor baby starve?

My bump doesn't feel too big yet, although MW said it is 'average size'. I was told today that I only look 4/5 months pregnant! Think it's because I'm tall I hide it well.

Good luck Charlie getting through those shifts and to everyone else counting down the days until mat leave. I'm actually now thinking of deferring my mat leave by a week. Due to finish @36 weeks, but I feel fine, so thinking I could work a bit longer and finish a project before I leave! Am I crazy?! I'm keen to maximise my income and I feel OK. I just won't do the commute and will work from home. My DH might not be so happy about it though.

to those thinking about carriers - I've got an ergo baby carrier with newborn insert. Tried it out with a newborn recently and looked very snug, but I think it will be too hot to use in the height of summer.

Luckystar82 · 21/05/2015 21:36

re: exercise. I'm going to do buggy fit in local park. I don't actually think you actually use the buggy in your exercise, you just do circuits tailored to new mums while your babies sleep in their prams. The park next to me has a weekly group. It might be a good way to meet new mums too. Worth asking local mums/ family information service about groups they know of.

LaLaLaaaa · 21/05/2015 22:06

Hi! I posted my update at end of last thread but I think it got a bit lost as everyone had moved over.

Not posted for a while. Doing well - baby is head down and I'm 32+2 now. Feeling good, although a few heart palpitations and dizzy spells keep reminding me I was told off for not eating or drinking enough (had ketones in my urine). I'm on Spatone every day to boost my iron as levels slightly low but not enough for iron tablets. It's made me have more energy which is great.

my baby is extremely active - everyone remarks on it in antenatal classes because they can see my belly moving! Very amusing. Lots of big kicks and wiggles. I love it but also sometimes feels slightly like an alien is about to burst out of me.

Very sick of being pregnant. I mc at 7 weeks, six weeks before I got pregnant with this one and didn't have a break in between. As a result my body didn't really have time to recover according to the doctors. I'm pretty tired and my hips are buggered. I have hip dysplasia anyways and as the weight is piling on they are struggling to cope. But I've got physio exercises to do and see an osteopath who is helping lots. I also do an antenatal fitness class weekly which I love and I've made loads of friends through it which is lovely!

Nice to hear everyone's well - I am on the Facebook page too and know a lady is being induced on Friday with twins. There's lots of chat on there but equally lots on here too, so dont think anyone's missing out either whichever you're on :)

We have bought pretty much everything for baby but can't put nursery together until my landlord gets the window replaced, which is a bit frustrating. But hopefully soon. I have a snuzpod for the first six months anyway which will go next to my bed.

I feel very ready for baby to come now, particularly as my original due date was last week (I had a little teary day - it wasn't the happiest). Also been into hospital for extra anti-D coz some lady decided to push into my bump on the train, daft moo. Meant another blood test and jab.

Had wc vaccine on Tuesday, arm still killing me - ouchy!

Looking forward to the first birthing announcements!

MuddyWellyNelly · 21/05/2015 22:43

Marking place on new thread. I'm not in the fB group either but happy here. 30+2 so one of the later ones! Lucky, I have another 8 weeks to go until I start mat leave. I will be 38+3 on my last day. Like you my bump is so far quite small so perhaps I've pushed it quite far, but I want to save my annual leave and maximise pay!

I'm not even close to bag packing or clothes washing or nursery organisation. I think I'm still in denial. Grin

Natanotherone · 21/05/2015 22:44

Hi ladies,

I haven't posted in months as find fb much easier to navigate and keep up with.

Hope everyone is ok and enjoying the last bit of pregnancy.

If anyone does want to join the group just private message me your email address and I will add you. Can always have a look and leave if you decide it's not for you :)

X

JoY007 · 22/05/2015 07:04

Morning Ladies - it's Friday! Bank holiday weekday yayy!!

Office move today, and most of my team took the day off, but lazy me left my packing to the last minute today Hmm

MrsF I do cardio most days now started to incorporae some core exercises into my daily routine, and doing more squats. I use my body weight when doing squats, only because I have de-quavain tendonitis on my right Sad.

Cat poses, belly bumping - suck in and out the stomach whilst breathing normally.

Also do the belly bumping sitting on a birth ball, I raise one leg at a time whilst the tummy is engaged. Apparently good for the transverse.

A physio lady on Instagram who works with pre and post natal woman sent me some more moves. I was not convinced until my physio recommended the same.Smile lastly kegel all the way. Wink

JoY007 · 22/05/2015 07:07

The Instagram handle of this lady @thebloommethod, there is also @pregancyexercises. Smile

Fattycow · 22/05/2015 07:16

34 weeks today, shit is getting real! I could have my squish in 3 weeks time. Shock Or 8 weeks, depending on when the little one deems him/herself ready to arrive...

Hi La

We must only be a day off each others edd. Nice to hear your update and just shout at us if you feel a post of yours gets lost. Sometimes the posts come thick n fast and it is hard to keep up.

Hope you are well as can be, your alien baby trying to escape no wonder you feel tired with that much wriggling!!! Grin Grin

It must have been hard on your mc due date, hope you felt better allowing yourself some timeout to feel upset for the loss. Our babies will be here soon. Like fatty I'm thinking ooh could be 5 weeks or up to 10 weeks to go!!! I'd prefer earlier than later, so impatient.

Yeah my post wc arm ached for couple of days then just suddenly stopped. Hope yours does today too! Just in time for the bank hol.... Wink

meeskamooska · 22/05/2015 09:42

Ooh I hadn't even considered that my baby could be early, I'd be so shocked if I went in to labour at 37 weeks, but I suppose it could happen. It literally hasn't even occurred to me before now that the baby won't arrive on the planned day! Confused

Wow LaLa so you're kind of having a year long pregnancy. I'm sorry for your loss, I mc about 3 years ago and I couldn't even face trying again for the next 2 years, I think you're very brave and strong going through that loss and trying again, and I'm glad it's working out for you now and that lovely baby will be here soon. It must have been an absolute roller coaster. Flowers

Number3cometome · 22/05/2015 12:39

Hi ladies! Just checking in.

Do spend lots of time on MN but tend to update on FB as I like to put a face to a name and can keep track of who is who by face rather than name.

31+5 here, SPD is a killer, but physio is helping. Getting some really strong braxton hicks as of late, some make my eyes water.

Another 7 weeks left at work, then baby should be here a couple of days later by planned cs - just waiting for a date, but have pushed and agreed 39 weeks!

Threeplus1 · 22/05/2015 14:59

Another defector to FB here.... I too find it easier to follow the conversations and replies.

32+6 here and have my baby shower on Sunday. I'm really looking forward to it Smile

meeska I had my first at 37 weeks - it's actually considered term and ds was perfectly fine. Every subsequent pregnancy I've made sure to have my bags packed for then

Charliej86 · 22/05/2015 16:06

Im convinced mr man is gonna come early, edd is 17th July, I think he'll deffo be out by 10th, oh thinks he'll come on 7th. My bro has just predicted 17th June, to be honest i can live with that.
Did say to oh yesterday I need to stop being so convinced he'll be early coz I'll be so much more disappointed if he's even on time.

Had a bad day today, spent most of the morning, after school run in bed and the afternoon on couch. Evening/nite will be shared between them. I just have no energy, my knees, ankles & feet ache, everything I eat makes me feel sick, keep getting headaches. Also very sensitive to almost every move baby makes, like he's moving/kicking on bruises.

Feeling very sorry for myself so ordered my close caboo and about to order some nursing bra's. Also popped to asda for some pop & chocolate to cheer me up.

NotPennysBoat · 22/05/2015 17:28

TMI alert, but is anyone still getting loads of discharge?? I've had loads throughout this pregnancy but just lately seems to be even more. I've even had a couple of jelly blobs (bit bigger than a 2p) which I've also wondered were part of my mucus plug... Creamy white though...

What a lovely post for a Friday teatime - I shall end on a lighter note by saying THREE DAY WEEKEND!!

Zampa · 22/05/2015 17:32

Baby Zampa arrived this morning at 0506 via emergency c-section at 33+1. I'm fine but our poor little daughter is very poorly.

Prognosis to be confirmed and when we have some news to share, I'll let you know.

Thanks for all the support and advice over the past few months. Stepping back for a while to concentrate on our new daughter. Love to you all. xxx

charlieis30 · 22/05/2015 17:33

I'm another who had a couple of MCs last year before getting preg again so I feel like I've ben preg FOREVER. Doesn't help with the fears when little one doesn't move for a bit or whatever. She's getting wrigglier and wrigglier at the moment though which is lovely.

I'm really struggling emotionally at the moment. I spent half an hour crying down the phone at DH today because work was just too much to deal with - I work from home (lucky!) so I went and had a nap and woke up 2 hours later! DH also found me in the bath last night in tears reading What to Expect. Everything is seeming to set me off! Doesn't help that he's off on a 10-day work trip in a few days. Then he has one more in June. I'm so paranoid I'm going to go into labour when he's abroad, and he won't make it back in time. He isn't travelling after I'm at about wk 35, but people keep saying "ooh I know someone who went into labour [insert any week between 31 and 37]" which is obviously SO HELPFUL for me :/

MrsFbabyNo1 · 22/05/2015 17:49

Lots of our love, thoughts and best wishes to you, your dh and your baby girl Zampa. She's in safe hands and being well looked after I'm sure. Do keep us posted even if it's in many weeks time...

I know it must be scary but still wanted to say a big congratulations on the arrival of your baby girl. xx

Butler4 · 22/05/2015 18:03

Congratulations on your little girl zampa and best wishes that she is ok.

broodylicious · 22/05/2015 18:04

WantToGoingTo · 22/05/2015 18:08

Just popping over from the fb group to congratulate zampa! Thinking of you and sending lots of positive vibes for your little girl. Fingers crossed she gets better soon and I hope that you and your family can enjoy spending every minute with her

Hope everyone over here is well, I'm afraid I did defect to fb... Couldn't keep up with all you chatty lot!

31 weeks today and 3 weeks til mat leave woohoo

jmojo · 22/05/2015 18:25

Congrats and lots of hugs zampa! I am assuming that the blood you had was maybe a sign of an antepartum haemorrhage? I do hope all is well with the LO. Look forward to hearing your news when you are able.

ohlordyplordy · 22/05/2015 18:37

Another Fb defector checking in to say congratulations to Zampa and that you, your little girl and the rest of your family are in my thoughts xxx
