Congrats Nat, hope you are enjoying being a new mummy. Do keep us posted! With all these arrivals and those still to come soon, do we need to set up a "July (and June for babies who didn't get the memo)15" postnatal thread soon as I would love to hear how everyone is getting on, like Zampa, Fatty, and the many more etc etc??????

Good luck mustbe, sending some positive progressive dilation thoughts to your foof!

I'm working my bloody ass off this week as finish Friday. Work just keeps coming in urgently. I get home eat (dinner cooked by MrF, shower / bath, then back on laptop for 3hrs+). Then can't sleep as brain buzzing. But just 2 more days...

I'm term tomorrow (well in 40mins)!!! Had thought I'd try tempting tricks from this weekend on but so want some time to relax before baby comes (esp after this week at work!) and so plan on Massages, Monday bday treats, bit of general relaxing (? Sunbathing in garden) before even attempting any ball bouncing, rl tea, sexing, walking etc.

I've def not dropped at all yet. so that's the next thing I'm waiting for first.

night all x

Naturegirl82 · 25/06/2015 05:25

mrsf my bump didn't drop until I was in established labour last time so it's not necessarily a prerequisite. I'm impressed you've managed to work till 40 weeks!

I've managed to sort a bit of baby stuff this week. Building work still not fully finished but nearly there now thankfully. At least I can start putting things away and will feel loads better once the cleaner has been.

Struggling with spd here. Seeing an osteopath ever week at the moment which seems to help a bit for a brief amount of time but still in agony. Didn't have this with DD1 so I'm finding it hard to accept my limitations.

jmojo · 25/06/2015 06:32

38 wks on Friday and they have decided to start sweps next Monday due to baby 's size (she was 8 lb 14 at 36+5). I am going in for a couple of sweeps and then if no labour I will be assessed for IOL at around term. Hopefully Baby jmojo decides to make a cameo of her own as I would really like a water birth! Grin I can't start walking ball etc until Her Papa is here on Monday! Haven't seen him for 3 months...can't wait!!

MustBeLoopy390 · 25/06/2015 09:58

Still here, huge amounts of brown show, which is still going and only just Turing greenish brown now. Reading through notes, baby had disengaged by one station and my cervix had closed up one cm between sweep and discharge on wed morning. Hoping that I progress soon as I'm bloody exhausted can't sleep or eat and just generally feel shite xxx

smallgreenbanana · 25/06/2015 10:20

Hey mustbe hang in there. Thanks for the update. Sending lots of relaxing vibes. Flowers

MuddyWellyNelly · 25/06/2015 12:42

Must that sounds frustrating. I hope you get some rest before LO finally makes an appearance. Good luck Flowers

jmojo ooh she sounds big. Good luck to you too!

35+2 here so labour still seems a long way off. I'm finding it hard to engage with the thought it all anyway, as bump is still breech and hence an ELCS looking highly likely. I got into trouble from the MW last week for not having written anything on my birth plan. Am waiting until I see consultant next week and will take it from there. Still got 3 weeks of work to go yet, as well!

Clstow · 25/06/2015 15:15

I feel the same Muddy - 35+5 and assuming LO will be late so thought I had ages to go, but all these early arrivals are making me think again! 2 weeks of work left so hope he stays put for a while yet.

Hope you're ok Must - sounds like a tough time.

charlieis30 · 25/06/2015 17:29

I'm 36w today - is it weird that I am super excited that I just leaked a little bit of colostrum? Grin

broodylicious · 25/06/2015 17:32

No charlie, that's fabulous!! Eek how exciting!!

Thepurplegiraffe · 25/06/2015 17:44

Hope you are ok Must

I am another one whose baby is resolutely breech at 37 +5 (same as my current dd) so I have a c-section booked in for 8th July. In contrast to others I will be doing everything I can to make sure baby does not arrive before then though I have had a good few twinges which I never had with dd.
I have had no sign of any leakage at all, hope that doesn't mean I'm going to struggle to get my milk in this time, between that and the cs.

MrsFbabyNo1 · 25/06/2015 21:15

I'm not working til 40 weeks nature! I'm 37 today, so finish at 37+1. TOMORROW!! I mentioned 40mins as I was posting not long before midnight, prob confused you. Could have worked for longer I guess, as had a relatively symptom free pregnancy so been.v lucky. But that might all change in the final weeks, I could still have 5 weeks to go! I need to chill out now.

I hope you (and others) are just about coping with Spd, sounds just the worse so sending you virtual hugs, tea n cake!

must, Hope you get some rest and things all work.out smoothly for you. keep us posted.

Charlie that is exciting news, you might be next! Didn't fatty have some leaks then next thing out popped her little girl?!?

Jmojo bet you can't wait til Monday and hope the bubba stays put til then.

OK I won't wait for 'dropping' then but id at least like that heavy bowling ball feeling of baby starting to / engaging soon. think I'm still 'free' at moment. does that heavy feeling def kick in before labour?! I want some signs!

Sherbet38 · 25/06/2015 21:16

Congratulations nat

Hope things start to progress for you must

Well I finished work today, so maternity leave has officially started, yay Grin I've had so much to do in the last month & worked lots (50+ extra hours Sad ), so I am definitely ready for a rest! I'll be 38 weeks on Saturday so hopefully I'll get some time to relax... although I also wouldn't mind baby being early as I'm sooo uncomfortable! Smile

smallgreenbanana · 25/06/2015 21:47

mustbe hope you are ok

purple 8th July is my dd Smile

sherbert yey welcome to the club! Rest up and enjoy yourself! I've found that my discomfort has improved now I am not commuting and working hard. In fact I've been going for walks everyday (sorry ladies with SPD).

MW tomorrow so I will get to find out if the feeling of dropping is actually due to any engagement.

MrsFbabyNo1 · 26/06/2015 06:52

My last day at work today for a year! Already just cried as MrF got me card saying how hard I've worked and enjoy mat leave dont stress while I'm off etc and beautiful bunch of flowers.

I've been working every evening til 10;30 odd as so much still to do, urgent things only I can deal with coming in on.top etc.

but I love my work and I love the people there, gonna miss it so much.

it's going to be an emotional day...

Naturegirl82 · 26/06/2015 08:02

Hope you have a good day mrsf. It's quite a strange transition from working to maternity leave. I found it quite hard last time (not at all this time!). Just get done what you can and don't worry about the rest. They will cope. Smile

Number3cometome · 26/06/2015 08:06

Ahh MrsF that's lovely!

Lots of babies arriving over the last few days. Making it feel very real!

Naturegirl82 · 26/06/2015 08:34

number it's a bit scary how many have arrived so far isn't it! I am not ready for a baby yet! Argh!

Number3cometome · 26/06/2015 08:37

I haven't finished packing my bag yet!

Good news is that because he head is further in now, I don't feel the need to pee so much. Terrible night's sleep in the warm though.

Might fall asleep at my desk today!

2 weeks left at work woop!

36+5

smallgreenbanana · 26/06/2015 08:57

Sue Still time for your LO to turn. Hope you are ok

MrsF Have a good day - hope your colleagues get you something nice Wink to see you off.

charlieis30 · 26/06/2015 10:53

I finish at the end of the month so 2.5 days to go yay! Although it's a small company so I'm going to be doing bits & pieces until I go into labour Grin

36+1 and I'm hoping LO stays put for another couple of weeks at least. NCT course this weekend then next weekend DH and I have booked one night in a posh hotel as a joint birthday treat/babymoon. I REALLY want to go so hope she stays exactly where she is until then! Saw GP earlier in the week, she said the head is in my pelvis but not dropped at all yet so keeping FC!

smallgreenbanana · 26/06/2015 11:57

Lots of BH these past couple of days, back a bit stiff, and a few period-type pains here and there especially as I was trying to get to sleep last night... Guess this is the beginning of the end! (Although could still be weeks, obviously.) DH can't quite believe things have come to this, bless him.

MustBeLoopy390 · 26/06/2015 13:19

Still here, still getting 2-3 contractions in 10 mins but no other signs of change other than a hell of a lot of shows, had no idea how much mucus plug there actually is! Thinking of asking to be admitted into hosp for some form of pain relief and some rest as its now getting too much and I'm starting to get a bit stressed. Hope everyone else is ok though and enjoying these last few days/weeks xxx

Raines100 · 26/06/2015 13:33

Hi everyone, have been quiet for a while, but just wanted to say congrats to the mummies who have delivered already and to those starting their mat leave! Good luck, Loopy. Hope all goes well.
Wishing I was at the end now. Getting bored of waiting. And acid reflux. Have an urge to be nesting, but it's far too early, and with two DSs about to break up for the holidays, totally pointless yet. Feel like I'm just hanging around Smile

35+2

smallgreenbanana · 26/06/2015 15:24

LO is 3/5th palpable. So proud! Grin

must hope you can get some relief soon

Luckystar82 · 26/06/2015 16:28

Good luck mustbe hope things start to progress for you more quickly, you must be exhausted, bless you.

I'm 37+4 today, bump feeling very hard, lots of BH contractions, and feeling very tired! I'm fully engaged but don't have bowling ball feeling or pregnancy waddle, although am having shooting feelings in my nether regions if I move quickly.

Hoping I last another week as I'm not ready yet. Have half packed my hospital bag and done about 5 loads of washing today. Slowly getting sorted.

My Baby Shower is this Sunday, so very excited about that (but not about the prediction for actual rain showers!)

mrsF and sherbet congrats on finishing work today and well done getting through all the hard work!
