Aaaaaww natureSmile I thought the same - I wondered how dd was ever that small!

We've bought a new car today. Pick it up on Tuesday. Can't wait. Gone for a Honda civic sport - more bells and whistles than we need but beaut, huge space inside, massive boot, very responsive, goes like stink....and has a refrigerated glovebox!

LaLaLaaaa · 20/06/2015 16:35

Good luck supershiv! I know you've not had the easiest time of it, I really hope it all goes well.

Good luck to anyone else due or who goes early :)

I've finally got around to packing my bag so I'm doing that now

lightgreenglass · 20/06/2015 18:10

Good luck for tomorrow supershiv! LO is still in special care but now taking all bottles, stable blood sugar and normal jaundice levels, he's not bringing his milk back up like before. Hope to bring him home by Monday. Fingers crossed.

fattymcfatfat · 20/06/2015 18:14

that's fab news lightgreen I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

smallgreenbanana · 20/06/2015 18:34

Good luck for tomorrow supershiv

Supershiv1 · 20/06/2015 19:00

That's good news lightgreen. FX for Monday.
Thanks lala and banana. I'm full of cold/sinusitis and haven't slept the last few nights for worry/paranoia over Froggie's movements, bunged nose and banging head - not what I wanted before going in.
Not sorted my tunes either but just feel drained so will have to sing to myself instead!
Will I be next? Or will someone pop before me???

JoY007 · 20/06/2015 20:07

Hello Ladies,

Congrats to the ladies with new arrivals, exciting times xxx.

I have a mat protector got it from boots laid it from 37 weeks and I have one on my car seat and my side of the bed.

Don't want any mess on the new mattress and my car Grin.

Finally threw in a coming home outfit in my bag as backup, planning on buying something more summery if baby does not come before I do.

My bambino moves a lot, I thought there would be less movement, however read somewhere that the room to move is tighter but not less movement. Mine seems to sleep every hour or so, pretty much like a new born I would say. Being having a lot of braxton hicks though.

Number3cometome · 20/06/2015 20:18

Hi ladies, had a lovely lunch today with friends, they got me a Toddle Pod, this baby is so spoilt!

So tired and breathless today, had a sleep in the afternoon. OH came in and said my lips looked blue, think just from the lack of oxygen! Feel shattered. It's really caught up with me today. Glad I don't have work until Tuesday.

Hope those with babies are all doing well! And a massive good luck to you tomorrow Shiv! Smile

broodylicious · 20/06/2015 20:33

I'd not thought about mattress protection for my bed. My waters didn't go last time so don't think it's even occurred to me to get protected! Hmmm something to sort. Thanks ladies.

shiv, eek can't believe the time has come for you. Hugest of good luck hugs, lovely. Can't wait to hear your birth announcement.

I'm going to have a bet on four babies being born this week.

Sherbet38 · 20/06/2015 22:02

Congratulations English & good luck tomorrow Shiv Smile

lala I mentioned smaller movements (not less) to my midwife and I have basically been in and out of hospital ever since (4 trips and more to come) for extra monitoring... they are being extra cautious, but almost makes me wish I hadn't said anything! Everything has been fine when monitored, lots of movement. Not complaining at all, the hospital abs midwives have been great and better to go in often and nothing me wring of course.

We picked up the car seat and pram today, gosh they were complicated to put together! Also picked up a lovely rocking chair I bought in eBay, it's pristine and was a bargain! Smile

MustBeLoopy390 · 21/06/2015 04:36

Good luck shiv! I'm currently on my local antenatal ward after coming in yesterday pains have been coming every 5 mins just not effective and they didn't want to let me home. Waiting for morning rounds to see if anything has changed, still same pains same length apart, lots of pressure and not able to sleep much, had one hour or there abouts. Been given a birth ball as paracetamol won't do anything. Hoping for progression or just discharge, would be able to manage better at home x

smallgreenbanana · 21/06/2015 07:19

Gosh it's all happening with the "July" babies this week! MustBe hope you can relax and get home or progress ok! Flowers

LaLaLaaaa · 21/06/2015 07:29

Sherbet how odd! My mw told me it's normal and only to worry of pattern changes. Pattern has been exactly the same. Last night it felt like he was trying to come out through my belly button!

Must I hope something happens either way

Aretepetite · 21/06/2015 08:18

Congratulations English

Good luck Must

MustBeLoopy390 · 21/06/2015 08:42

Well the purple line has progressed, contractions more intense but they are still insisting nothing is happening with cervix despite no check this morning xxx

jmojo · 21/06/2015 08:43

This should be called "the one where all the babies didn't get the memo it is still June!!" Good luck all those niggling/being induced etc! Smile

Luckystar82 · 21/06/2015 10:52

good luck shiv and lightgreen!

NurseP · 21/06/2015 10:53

Congratulations to the new mummies and welcome new babies! I have finished work! Yay! Last 3 nights were stupidly busy! Feet still very fat and sciatica is not behaving! Hearing about all these early babies makes me realise how close it all is! Eek! X

Luckystar82 · 21/06/2015 10:57

well done charli on DH new job

I'm having lots of pains in bump now - can't move positions without saying 'ow'! Hope its just stretching and not onset of labour...37 weeks tomorrow.

MustBeLoopy390 · 21/06/2015 14:09

Update : I'm dilating very slowly, gone from closed to 1 cm overnight so have come home to continue with home birth plans, apparently with the line progressing and other signs it's an issue with my cervix but consultant is happy that it will catch up soon. No pressure to induce, been given advice on oxytocin and on making sure I stay relaxed :)

smallgreenbanana · 21/06/2015 14:42

mustbe Home is certainly the best place to relax! Glad you can continue with your homebirth plans and thanks for the update. Smile

Naturegirl82 · 21/06/2015 20:18

Good luck must hope everything progresses smoothly for you.

Luckystar82 · 21/06/2015 22:09

good luck must hope the labour progresses well :)

I'm sure you know of these ideas already, but these are some tips on stimulating oxytocin from my NCT class...

eat choccolate, take a warm bath, massage, orgasm, scented candle you like, rom coms, hugs, laugh (watch your favourite comedian), walk in sunshine, call friend/ family you enjoy talking to, listen to soothing music,

Clstow · 21/06/2015 22:15

Good luck to must and shiv and huge congrats to fatty and english - so exciting that babies are arriving, loving the birth stories as well.

Had a a great weekend - went to see Blur in Hyde Park last night which was ace then OH and I had a major clear-out today to make room for the new arrival, which has made me feel much less daunted about the whole thing. I know what you mean about complicated pushchairs though Sherbert, it took us about 10 mins to take ours apart to stash in a cupboard!

broodylicious · 22/06/2015 12:36

clstow, was that the BST gig as Kylie Minogue was at? Read this morning she sang a few lines of the Neighbours theme tune? Haha! Hope you enjoyed it Smile

Mw appt at 115. Feeling like baby is very low today so I'll be interested to see if it's any more engaged.
