Finished work today and was given a lovely send off with flowers and presents

Congratulations English! And a lovely story to boot. Lots of love flying around Flowers

Charliej86 · 19/06/2015 22:44

Congrats fatty and English

Number3cometome · 20/06/2015 07:14

Lovely news English!

My baby's hair has been mentioned twice at grow scans now, I'm wondering how much he has and what colour!

MrsFbabyNo1 · 20/06/2015 07:50

Congrats fatty!!! Hope you are you're little girl are both doing well. You made a baby! You were only wondering on Tues when baby would come, then next day you got your answer!!! Grin

Hello and congrats too English!!! So many July babies wanting to be June babies. Smile

My tests for mooosive bump measurement = gtt normal, growth scan fine at top of my chart (must be feeding him well) but not way over 90th and baby is estimated 6lb 9oz at 36weeks. Chunky monkey. Shock

Started getting v mild puffy feet. So time to start relaxing more! Another busy week at work though but finish next Friday!!! Hope all you lucky ladies finished now are loving being ladies of leisure.

Bags are packed (but no change of clothes / leaving outfit yet - might just pop that in depending what's clean when in early labour) and I have an entire waterproof mattress protector on bed in case (as was a brand new mattress only 8mths ago) - don't want no ickiness on it!!

Started buying some cloth nappies, as can order with ocado food shopping and 1/3rd off at mo (£10 each instead of £16) so that's tempted me to start buying...

Happy weekend all.

MrsFbabyNo1 · 20/06/2015 08:04

Plus hi to any new people / those that don't post often or anyone popping in for a birth announcement. Always nice to hear from everyone.

waves to lala and lostsouls etc, seems ages since heard from you but then time is just flying by.

I've noticed weekend slow down on posts a lot recently, guess we are all getting v busy in final countdown stages (esp me with wrapping up work before I finish). God knows how those of you with other kiddies cope!

LaLaLaaaa · 20/06/2015 08:58

Hi MrsF! Lovely to see you too!

I'm just finding time is flying by - but at same time it feels like it's standing still.

My LO is moving a bit less, probably because there's less room in there. Anyone else noticed that?

jmojo · 20/06/2015 10:10

MrsF I have gone with mattress protection too! Sensible idea imo!!

GotToBeInItToWinIt · 20/06/2015 10:24

Gosh I hadn't even thought about mattress protection and our mattress in brand new! I think because my waters were broken in hospital last time 46 hours into labour I assumed they wouldn't go spontaneously this time. Maybe should go for protection just in case!

MrsFbabyNo1 · 20/06/2015 10:25

La, It's weird how movements are totally different now to say at 6-7mths when they ramped up, not the isolated prods / pokes etc. I feel deep squirms and general bigger moves. Obvs as baby much bigger. But must say did seem less and I had odd bouts of worry.

Especially on like a mad hectic busy day then you stop and think oh what have I actually felt today.

Do know to monitor though and know it's still regular enough, so feel a few worry wobbles is normal. One of my apps says baby sleeps up to 90% of the time now?!

MrsFbabyNo1 · 20/06/2015 10:26

Someone at work told me to get one as when bfing as well and boobs leaking milk could also get on mattress / smell not just potential waters breaking, or any other post birth gunk accidents. Shock

This is one I got, cheap enough to not break bank as yet another preg outlay but really fab. Soft material, not hot or squeaky at all (like pvc type ones)

GotToBeInItToWinIt · 20/06/2015 10:27

Mrs F I'm pretty sure mine is awake about 90% of the time... I think I'm going to get another non sleeper like DD! I feel movement almost constantly, probably 20 mins every 2 hours when baby is still. That would follow DD's sleeping pattern as a newborn!

MrsFbabyNo1 · 20/06/2015 10:40

wow that's one active little baby!

Our little man is head down with arms up by his head, so do feel tiny little strokes way into my hips, pelvis, behind public bone area which must be him moving arms about. Maybe those are often so light I don't notice as many as there really are, cus they feel like light tickles.

I didn't really think they would sleep 90%. seems far too much. You'll have to let us know what your bub's sleeping patterns are when they get here then! Wink

Naturegirl82 · 20/06/2015 10:46

Definitely recommend keeping the mattress protection for post birth as well. I had a massive oversupply problem so if DD slept a bit longer than normal I would wake up in a massive puddle of milk! Blush

formerlyofLadysmith · 20/06/2015 11:54

just popping in to say hi, congrats to Fatty & English and anyone else I've missed! Can't believe all the July babies arriving in June, didn't they get the schedule?!

Re: mattress protection, both times my waters have gone in bed but it hasn't been a flood, more a "pop" and a trickle, & I've had our cot mattress protector down on my side which has been fine. In fact I must dig it out this weekend as I am 38w now...

Luckystar82 · 20/06/2015 12:29

Congratulations English and thanks for sharing your positive, inspiring birth story

Congrats again fatty your little girl sounds gorgeous!

Charliej86 · 20/06/2015 13:07

I hadn't even thought about mattress protection, hmm.

I've noticed movements have changed.

I'm still poorly ill. Full of cold, really struggling to breathe.

Some fabulous news, OH has been offered an amazing job opportunity, starts in a week. It does mean he'll be out the house 14hours a day mon-fri plus 8hours on Saturday to start with and I'll be without a car, at least for a few weeks. It also means he won't be able to take paternity leave (they offered but he needs to show willing) he obv can be there for birth. Not ideal but such a good opportunity he couldn't say no.

Supershiv1 · 20/06/2015 13:41

Congratulations to lightgreen and fattycow on your arrivals.
How's your LO doing lightgreen? I'm being induced tomorrow at 35+6!

Supershiv1 · 20/06/2015 13:45

Oh and congrats to English too!

Supershiv1 · 20/06/2015 13:49

Oooooh Charlie great news on the job front but I really don't envy you being without support for those hours (unless you have family near?).

Naturegirl82 · 20/06/2015 14:36

I've finally got the baby stuff down from the attic. Just sorted out all the neutral clothes and I can't believe how small everything is! It's amazing how quickly you forget.
