Noticed we were getting a bit full in the last thread! Roll up, roll up for more scanning, puking, worrying and other distractions to take us through the first trimester! Grin

Welcome pepper!

Jebel · 05/06/2015 10:08

Welcome baking and pepper congrats on the scans!

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 05/06/2015 10:43

Hi pepper! You're not old you're the same age as me so you can't be or that would make me Hmm!!!

Fizzie100 · 05/06/2015 10:54

Hi all, hope everyone's well. I'm feeling really rough today. Tired achey and sicker than ever Hmm

Pepperpot81 · 05/06/2015 11:09

Thanks for all the welcomes! So nice to be 'out'. Haha!

Sharon.. I was just joking about being old.. until I saw in the Daily Hate today a woman who is a grandmother at 33! Shock

I'm hoping I'm pushing the average age on this forum up!

Has anyone looked into NCT yet? I'm not sure whether to do the Essentials (12 hours) or Signature (16 hours) course? Any ideas/advice from second/third/fourth timers?!

BabsUnited · 05/06/2015 11:13

How many weeks are you fizzie? I turned 10 weeks today and my app said I'd feel worse than ever this week ShockHmm

Am feeling ok though in
Comparison. Saw consultant yesterday and have cervical stitch booked for 22nd. I didn't realise but they do it under a spinal anaesthetic. Eeek.

Welcome baking and pepper!

Fizzie100 · 05/06/2015 11:28

I'm 12+2 today Babs and just want to crawl under my desk and sleep. I had thought things picked up from here but seemingly not! I'm going to look into NCT at lunchtime, I've moved to a new area so would be nice to make some friends.

ChandlersFarang · 05/06/2015 12:34

Hi and a big welcome to the no-longer-lurkers Book, baking and pepper!! Grin we have a Facebook group too if any of you want to join - sweets and clare (I think?) can get you in if you PM them your FB-registered email ads.

I signed up for the full 16 hour NCT yesterday Fizzie! Thought I might as well. I'm moving back to my old area but moving house to the other side of it so I'm also keen to meet new people in the same boat too... Plus DH will definitely benefit from all the info!

Welcome newbies! pepper I'm 35. I'm sure most of us are in our 30's to be honest.

Having a 'good' day so far. Long may it last! Fed up of feeling rough!

Hummingbird15 · 05/06/2015 13:22

Hi, hope you're all having a good day. After very little sleep last night and a very nauseous start to the day I'm actually feeling alright now.
I was meant to get my harmony test results back at 5pm appointment today, but the test failed (didn't collect enough of the bean's dna). So I'm going back for them to take more blood and they'll also do a normal 12 week scan so I should get my risk of Downs Syndrome. This morning I said to DH that I was feeling a bit nervous and he looked really perplexed and asked why! How can he be on quite such a different planet! I'm looking forward to the scan part, but really paranoid I'll get a high risk number for downs. Will report back later!

Withalittlesparkle · 05/06/2015 14:14

My nuchal results came back as low risk 1 in 13000 but I'm surprised it's higher risk than with my first pregnancy

chopsface · 05/06/2015 15:14

humming did you pay £££'s for the harmony test? Do they refund you if it doesn't work?

Jebel · 05/06/2015 16:48

All this talk of being old! I'm 39 and still sprightly!

Fizzie I'm 12+1 and also feel shattered with nausea returning.

sparkle that's a great result

Humming that is very annoying re the Harmony test. My DH is exactly the same and then when I explain why I am worried he says there is not point in worrying until we know! Logical but bahhhhh....

Babs I felt better at 10 weeks.

HariboBrenshnio · 05/06/2015 19:07

Please could I be added to the FB group? I'm struggling to keep up with this thread so FB might be easier!

Hummingbird15 · 05/06/2015 21:07

Phew, all good at the 12 week scan - it was still at the Harmony place despite them not having actual harmony results. They were really thorough and I came out with a 1 in 6600 chance of Downs, and 1 in 12,000 risk of other trisomies.

They took bloods for the harmony test again, so will see if they can get results this time. If not, in answer to your question chops yes we'll still have to pay!

Feel so relieved and happy tonight, and now we can tell friends and family Smile

Hummingbird15 · 05/06/2015 22:03

Congrats on your result too withalittlesparkle ! The higher risk could just be because you are a year or two older?

cantthinkofaname87 · 06/06/2015 08:02

Could I also be added to the Facebook group? Lost track of who I need to PM with my details!

Cheshirehello79 · 06/06/2015 08:06

Morning all - just thought I should share ... What a lovely sunny morning ..

Anyways I'm exactly 100 days pregnant today and for the first time I can say I slept like a baby last night . Little beanster must be getting comfortable.

As I'm now on my second trimester - I've now started excercising something that I did before pg but when fell pregnant ( 1trimister) didn't have energy at all and felt ill ever time I even tried.

I've treated myself to champneys blissful bump spa package from boots it's now on offer £16 . Normall £25 and its divine . I would recommend it to all mummy's to be.

I'm feeling great ... Or as they say ... I feel good nana banana ....

Hope stays this way as I'm now starting to enjoy the pregnancy :-)

ineedsomeinspiration · 06/06/2015 08:49

Morning all, just checking in. Tried to have a catch up on the thread.

Hello to the new ladies congrats on your pregnancies.

metal i hope you're ok?

Nothing much to report from me really. 14+2 and been feeling much better past five days or so.

The sun is shining here in Suffolk so going to make the most of it, get that vit d. Have a lovely weekend everyone.Grin

hellsbells552 · 06/06/2015 09:28

Dear spreadsheet monitors,
Please could you put in my 20 week scan date for 16/07/15?
Thanks!

Metalhead · 06/06/2015 11:53

indeed I'm holding up ok, thanks for asking. Trying not to think about it too much until we've got the results of the Harmony test. I've also had a chat with my SIL who's an obstetrician and she's managed to reassure me a little bit re: the high hcg level. Still feel like I'm stuck in limbo again though, not being able to tell anyone about the pregnancy yet (and it's getting very hard to hide the bump/bloat now!).

WonkyDonkBonk · 07/06/2015 09:13

Has my phone gone funny or is it very quiet on here? Have i missed something?

Jebel · 07/06/2015 09:15

Sadly always happens when FB group ramps up! I try to remember to check in every day still.

orangemouth281 · 07/06/2015 09:23

Yay I finally have a scan date, 16th June when I will be almost 13 weeks.

Re bras, are people going non wired? I did last time but they did nothing for me so hoping to stick with wired for a bit longer!

orangemouth281 · 07/06/2015 09:24

I will join FB after the scan.
