December 2015 #3 - riding out the first trimester!!

Noticed we were getting a bit full in the last thread! Roll up, roll up for more scanning, puking, worrying and other distractions to take us through the first trimester!

I'm so sorry to hear your news wifey, sending a massive hug!

Not good news here either I'm afraid, had a scan this morning and there was an empty sac. Sac size was consistent with a pregnancy of 6/7 weeks, not the expected 11 weeks. Strange thing is, my symptoms were so strong from about 7 weeks to 10 weeks but hey ho guess that's the way it goes! The consultant I saw said although she's almost certain it's a miscarriage, because my bleeding isn't heavy she doesn't want to do a d and c just in case. So I've got to let nature take its course and have a re scan in 7 days, to be doubly sure.

After having an external and internal scan we are 99.9% sure that is it. Plus I think light bleeding for a week was obv bits of it coming away.

Obviously gutted and upset, but also accepting and know it's not the end of the world for us either. I have my beautiful DD, who I feel extremely lucky to have. It obviously wasn't the right time for us but im sure it will be sometime in the future.

Wishing you all a very happy and healthy 2015 to December and will keep popping by ... Especially when your precious bundles arrive! Please remember, I've been extremely unlucky and the odds of this happening were really really low .... So you will all be just fine I'm sure. Big hugs! Xx

honey, I'm so sorry to hear that. How confusing and horrible to find that out and to have to go back again soon as well. I'm glad to see you are able to be positive and think about your lovely DD - like you say, I am sure your time will come again, and hope it'll be very very soon.

I've got my next scan tomorrow and am getting so nervous again. I think once you've had a mc the fear just never goes away... DH can't come with me tomorrow as he has to take DD to school, so I'll have to brave it on my own.

Hiya, its my second time pregnant and first time ever on a chat group.

I've only 2 more working days left before my scan, and keeping it secret till then's been hard work, I'm sure people have guessed! especially as symptoms feel worse than last time and I'm definitely showing more and eating everything in sight. I can't pass by a kfc without buying two pieces minimum and sucking it dry like scene from Fantastic Mr Fox.

FlorIxora - I did the hypnobirthing classes much to hubby's displeasure, it really helped my nerves and came in handy before EMCS (have I used the right term?)after being induced at 42 weeks - so yeah not all my plans came through either but at least I could cope until they had to "open the sunroof". but all paid off and DC #1 does the breathing techniques with me to get to sleep at night now he's 2 :)
