Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 27th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oLJqpadAb2givKYq8OJfGCti3s6xzsTGlI-GoaBfM_M/edit?pli=1#gid=0

Still nothing to report here except for quite hurty braxtons. Don't think it's the real deal though. I'm going off the idea of giving birth again. Can't it teleport out like Dr Who?

Hi viroids, sorry for silence. I haven't caught up with the Fred, sorry if I've missed anything. Just checking in to let you know that I think I'm still in latent phase of labour. Contractions keep ramping up then slowing down. MLU keep saying to wait until they're closer together so have been at home the whole time. Have got a routine midwife appt tomorrow morning so will go anyway and see what she says.
DH is being totally awesome and the hypnobirthing is getting me through really well. Just getting impatient to meet her!
Will try to keep you guys up to date as much as poss but finding it easier to cope with if I go into my little bubble! Smile

Oh mini keep your chin up lovey you're doing great! I had a very slow labour as well- it was all stop/start, stop/start. Is it your first? If so its because your body has never done anything like this before so it's getting revved up. Anyway my advice is to keep breathing and rolling around on your ball (if you have one) I was always told to rotate to dilate at Daisy birthing, may not have worked for me but I still remember bits of info lol good luck and I really hope minimi makes an appearance soon!
Splodge also got my fingers crossed for you- lots of hugs for both of you x

La it was an absolute farce, as soon as I got there I kind of knew I was in the wrong place, they'd made me an appointment to discuss my pelvic floor... Not that they can do anything because I'm pregnant! I was so disappointed, the lady consultant was lovely but she was very embarrassed that I'd been sent to her as she had no idea I was pregnant and just bought she was seeing someone after a traumatic birth who needed help not peeing themselves! Yeah that would've been useful nearly a year ago! It was the biggest waste of time ever and the fact I had to wait an hour with a poorly 11 month old and me and DP were exhausted from being up all night with her, plus no pram to put her in just made it all feel a lot worse! Anyway good news is is that I cannot be forced to have another natural birth (the lady doctor said) and I did already have a c section consultation appointment booked but it's not til 26thMay so now I've got another month to wait before finding out whether I'll be allowed one or not! According to the lady I saw today though it should be fine which has kind of put my mind at ease a little but I'm such a worrier anyway I wanted to kind of gear myself up for the date and mentally prepare myself and now I'll have less than 2 weeks to do this if I get one Confused

Pixie as I understand it you shouldn't be refused a CS. See a summary and a link to NICE guidelines here (might be helpful to print out and take the NICE guidelines with you?)

I need to get on the raspberry magnum bandwagon!

Glad you're ok Mini! Totally understand the need to stay in your bubble - you're doing great. Hope things kick into a more regular pattern soon.

Hope the law of sod doesn't come into play Chat Confused

I like your teleporting idea is a goer splodge, can you work on that?

What a lottery chat! Bring some added excitement to labour time but stressful. Hope it all slots together nicely!

12 weeks have gone quick zyla! You must be in the swing of it now though - a pro!

Scan was fine. Baby's heart is doing what it should. Didn't get to see any more of it though they really only were interested in the heart. Heard the heartbeat too. There was a cardiologist present and he's happy Smile

Apparently they will check baby's heart once it's born but 90% of defects inc the major ones are ruled out

We will get to see more on Tuesday for the 20 weeker Smile

Thanks for all the support viroids - love you guys! Just been to midwife and she said everything looks great. 80% effaced and 2cms dilated, head fully engaged. Doesn't sound like much but it was more than I was hoping for so I'm a happy bunny. Had a sweep so now just waiting for it to ramp back up. Trying to rest in between contractions as much as possible - currently watching Disney films! Grin

Hope you're okay splodge? Any more tonis?

purple all the best for scan today. Enjoy seeing babypurple Smile

ah, great news purple!

Saw Midwife, so far I've not seen or spoken to the same one more than once, today was a new one again... Blood pressure is a bit high, had to go all through explaining back/spd issues, again, had to explain why high risk, blah blah blah, she thinks I'll be induced at 38 wks which is fine, until she examined me and said 'Well that's if he doesn't turn up first, he's very very low down for the number of weeks you are'. Then she asked me if my bag etc was ready!? She's written 2/5ths Palp on my notes. It'd explain why my back and sacro feel so fucked at the moment I guess? If his head is banging on them?

Promptly went to marks and spencer, bought some scotch eggs and got under blanket at home alternating crying with said scotch eggs. Then I've done a bit of dr google and early engagement doesn't necessarily mean early baby. I feel a bit annoyed that she's freaked me out seemingly for nothing?

Report
splodge77 · 01/05/2015 13:39

Aw Tee, crying into your scotch eggs! What a forlorn image. Well minisplodge engaged quite early on & look at me! Not sure it necess points to an early birth but yes could explain the back pain! Hope the sweep works for you mini. Saw midwife this morn & I'm booked in for one next wed if no movement by then. they're happy to hold off induction until I'm 42+1 so that's good. Just had a looovely reflexology sesh. Not sure I really believe in it all but love having my feet massaged. Heaven!

Report
Fattycow · 01/05/2015 14:01

tee, you are exactly 4 weeks ahead of me and my baby likes to have the head down really low as well! It sometimes feels as if I'm walking with a bowling ball between my legs...
