Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 27th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oLJqpadAb2givKYq8OJfGCti3s6xzsTGlI-GoaBfM_M/edit?pli=1#gid=0

Snap = SNP by the way!

Can't vote for them where I am now but would likely vote that way if back home. I remember last election they were considered a bit extreme and I voted lib dem. you're right that things have changed a lot since then

WilHarlot · 03/05/2015 10:57

Hope you're better soon Chat. I have found this bug to be lingering, can't quite shake it off.

Ha I voted Lib Dem last time too La. Won't be making that mistake again.

LaLaLaaaa · 03/05/2015 11:46

Get well soon chat!

Yes wil! No way would I vote lib dem these days!!

splodge77 · 03/05/2015 11:57

I reckon minisplodge is gonna scupper my voting and arrive on thurs you know. Sweep got me going last time so if it's a repeat it'll be a wed eve or thurs birth. Have they named the princess yet? It's gonna be something boring isn't it?

goodnessgraciousgouda · 03/05/2015 12:00

La- aha, yes I managed to find the grads thread Grin.

I will probably be avoiding mumsnet for a while though, as due to the fact that my cycles were short, I am only 4 weeks pregnant, and incredibly worried about m/c potential. If I get through the first trimester I will deffo be coming back to hang out on here!

I have no idea how people manage to get through the first trimester without giving themselves an ulcer!!!

Totally know what you mean Gouda, I was feeling quite positive until yesterday and now have ridiculous anxiety that I am not really upduffed and when I go for a scan there will be nothing there and I feel look like a fool and my family will be devastated and I will have upset them all over nothing! Sad I need a slap! I think it's because I thought that if I was still having symptoms I must still be pregnant but someone told me yesterday that you can have a mmc and still have pregnancy symptoms. I am terrified of mmc as I wouldn't feel in control and I'm a complete control freak, not of other people but myself. Weirdly, less scared of a mc as I would know about that and therefore could be in control. Apologies for being a MASSIVE FANNY, and if this is a bit of a sensitive topic for some but I am not normally like this, guess the hormones could be making me crazy. Meh.

LaLaLaaaa · 03/05/2015 12:22

Honestly viroids what you're feeling is perfectly normal and first tri is a total head fuck!

Purpleball · 03/05/2015 12:24

Gouda we can try keep you sane Smile it's hard going esp if you've had a previous loss (most of us have)

I was brave and put a thread up about my birth choices. It's interesting to read opinions on it re induction and ELCS. There's another mum to be who has the same diabetes issues as me and she's going down the ELCS route for much the same reasons I'm planning to.
One person said the hospital couldn't offer her appropriate food for a diabetic which is a worry. I wasn't thinking of packing 24 hours of meals into my hospital bag! I know I will need plenty of snacks though.

I need to discuss on Tuesday when I see the consultant exactly what would happen if they induce me and how they will control my sugars as well.

I know it's early to be worrying about this but it's making me anxious. I need to have a plan and know as much as is possible what will happen, otherwise my stress levels will be through the roof for the next 18 weeks

Enjoy your lunch Tori.

We all felt like that about first scan Pud. I do think the key to not going crazy in first tri is to relinquish control and just 'give it up' to fate. I accept this isn't easy if you're a control freak. I knew I was going to mc - just felt it was wrong from the moment I was pg. The hardest thing then was waiting for it to happen.

Purpleball · 03/05/2015 12:27

Pud and Gouda I paid £99 for a private 7 week scan. That's the earliest the heartbeat is visible and it doesn't have to be dildocam.
It was worth every penny. Once you have seen a heartbeat the risk of MC is incredibly low. We told family and close friends after we'd had that scan

I also had a scan at 7 weeks, totally worth it for the reassurance. I agree also that my pregnancy that resulted in MC felt totally different to this one.

Jcandy · 03/05/2015 12:40

I've got my early reassurance private scan on Wednesday and I'm starting to worry about it. Did think my symptoms had gone earlier so my anxiety went up but then I threw up my brunch so guess it's still ok! Confused There is only a really small chance of mmc so I'm trying not to think of that

Hobbit19 · 03/05/2015 12:41

Thanks for the support ladies. Unfortunately our friends have really been through the mill with ttc too, it has been almost 50:50 in terms of mc/not mc so I think our views are clouded a little bit. I think I should end up with a scan in about 3 weeks (an upside of long cycles!) So I will just hold on until then. I do 'feel' very pregnant and have since 5 days before testing so I guess I just need to focus on that. Deep breaths. And my usual coping mechanisms of wine and chocolate are off the menu!!

Hobbit19 · 03/05/2015 12:43

Gx for you for Wednesday JCandy, will you be about 8 weeks then?

Pisghetti · 03/05/2015 12:47

Pud I hope that there was some natural way for that comment to have come about that I can't picture and/or the person making it didn't know you were pregnant as what sort of cunt (and I pretty much never use that word!) would say that to someone in the first trimester?!?

Fleurchamp · 03/05/2015 12:57

Congrats gouda today you are pregnant!

I am a typical floating voter. I have voted in all sorts of ways depending on the constituency I have lived in (all in or around London) as most of the seats I have lived in have been "safe" for one party or another. I live in a typical labour safe seat now, it's not worth voting for anyone else, 2nd runners are lib dems (and who I voted for last time) but I think they will lose lots of votes.

Problem is, I just don't like Ed Miliband Confused

Jcandy · 03/05/2015 13:08

Yeah according to my dates I'll be 8 weeks exactly. I know I'll still feel nervous probably through the whole pregnancy but it might help to reassure me a bit more hopefully

Hobbit19 · 03/05/2015 13:18

Ha yes Pig, just a random conversation, only DH and 2 people at work know, one of whom guessed!

Pisghetti · 03/05/2015 13:35

Ok glad to hear that!

Toast85 · 03/05/2015 13:37

Gouda, jcandy, pud- hugs to you all, have just exited the first trimester and so glad to see it gone. Honestly I was so up and down (more down than up) in the first 9 weeks especially, convinced everything was going to end. Had some spotting at 9 weeks or so and had a scan due to that, once I knew there was a hb and everything looked fine I relaxed a bit. But it's natural to feel so worried.

I live in a secure Tory area so can't help but feel my non-Tory vote is a little hopeless, won't stop me ticking a box though.

Hope Kate is resting up in her tracky bottoms and slippers today.

Gx for mini and Splodge, and kato this week! Eek!

WilHarlot · 03/05/2015 13:56

Try not to worry JC, keep yourself busy for the next couple of days.
