I got the sudocrem, wipes etc in the one they give you in hospital last time. Even though I moan about Bounty if you arrive with no hospital bag (not recommended!) that was quite useful

mrsscarlettbutler · 01/05/2015 11:04

I didn't get anything exciting in my Bounty pack - just a couple of teabags!
My nausea is horrendous today Sad when will it stop?! 14 weeks tomorrow. Ugh - really struggling at work, am currently mainlining a packed of refreshers in the hope that the sugar will help.

Here you all are!

Thinking of you ninja - do try not to panic, I've had two bleeding incidents and it's been ok, highly stressful but baby fine. Fingers crossed it's good news.

Baby #2 here and have no bump yet, just look a bit fatter than normal Grin but still in normal clothes. We had a team night out last night and my god drunk people are dull, I have to say I am missing wine now the sickness has passed.

I have my 20 week scan date through for the 12th June when I will be bang on 20 weeks pregnant, it seems so soon after the wait for the 12 week scan which felt like forever. 14 weeks today!

I think Paperchase www.paperchase.co.uk/stationery/filing-storage/document-wallets have a nice selection of things to put maternity notes in, I am going to pop out to the one near me at lunchtime and get one as I got a bit of ticking off for not carrying them around with me. I didn't realise you were meant to carry them on you all of the time.

Blueblink · 01/05/2015 12:05

Yes counting down to May 5th! my symptoms have subsided (apart from the tiredness) although I have been a bit woobly the past week or so and obviously crashed into the dishwasher on Tuesday - pretty sure that is all pregnancy related! I'm worried that i'm going to be so anxious by Tuesday that my bloood pressure is going to rocket! at my booking in apt it was super low, then i had it taken again at 9 weeks and it was on the high side, hope its not the signs of anything serious!

ninjabeer · 01/05/2015 12:13

Thank you for your support ladies. The bleeding seems to have stopped but there was a bit of clotting too. Still no proper pain which I'm taking heart from. It just feels weird like I'm about to get the squits?!?!

Just back from the Doctor who was lovely and tried her best to reassure me. She's booked me in for a scan at the EPAU but this won't be until Tuesday because of the long weekend so I just have to sit it out until then. This is only a day earlier than my scheduled 12 week scan but at least I'll know what is going on. Ultimately what will be will be but I feel really strung out now so am going to put my feet up and try and relax over the weekend.

TakesTwoToTango · 01/05/2015 12:15

Fingers crossed ninja.

I'm also having bleeding here mostly brown. Next weds can't come soon enough!

BleachedBarnet · 01/05/2015 12:18

Well I'm back from the scan Grin The baby was very active, bouncing around all over the shop so it was hard for her to get a good view! Managed to pin down all the relevant stuff in the end, although she had to press down so hard on my pelvic bone I was close to telling her to stop from the pain.

Here he/she is!

ninjabeer · 01/05/2015 12:19

Same for you TwoToTango it's just so bloody terrifying not being able to do anything useful.

PooSweats84 · 01/05/2015 12:27

Hi ladies! Back from my scan and everything is bloomin fine, I can't quite belive it! Same as you Bleached , wiggling all over the place but the sonographer finally got a good measurement. 13 weeks exactly so due date is 7th of November. Got my next scan on June 23rd, which is FOREVER away! I'm just so bloody relieved, I really thought something was up with the lack of symptoms!

cryingbabymess · 01/05/2015 12:53

So just in Starbucks and had a cheese and ham toastie.....the cheese seemed a bit wet (lol!) like I thought it would be cheddar but it wasn't....before I panic when it's not needed, if it was a "bad" cheese how bad is it for baby? TIA

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 01/05/2015 13:23

It's all ok if it's cooked crying and pretty much all restaurant or supermarket cheese is pasteurised - they have to say if it isn't, so don't worry

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 01/05/2015 13:31

And even if it wasn't (which is very unlikely) here's your chances:
There were 174 cases of listeria in the UK in 2010 (out of 64 million people) from all foods. You'd have to be very very unlucky. Most of the cases are in care homes and places like that too.
Hope this reassures a little

Karmanna13 · 01/05/2015 14:00

Fingers crossed for you ninja.

Bleached, lovely clear scan photo!

I went to the shop to get some milk and apples and came back with this. Cravings anyone?! Grin

CoffeeTwo · 01/05/2015 14:10

Hello ladies. Back from our hols and feeling nice and relaxed but quite anxious as symptoms have mostly gone. No sickness, boob pain has eased. I'm 10+2 so seems a bit early but trying to be calm about it.

ninja sorry you've got a wait for some answers I'm sure everything will be fine. I've had that abdominal pain too where it feels like you're about to poo! Pregnancy does funny things to your insides!

Blue my notes are also in a plastic coloured wallet with a clippy button Grin

Lovely to hear about lots of nice scans!

CoffeeTwo · 01/05/2015 14:11

Ooh Karma drool!

Focusfocus · 01/05/2015 14:27

Oooooh lovely scan news all around!!!

My skin - forehead, hairline all around and upper chest looks horrendous. Pimply spots like ground grains all over, and one big arse spot pulsing on my forehead. Oh FFS. Whats this glow people talk about.

My 29 inch pre pregnancy waist now measures 36 inches over the navel before bed. Awesome.

BUT - getting a babe at the end of it!!!!

Lauramum23 · 01/05/2015 16:04

I got tea bags and pregnacare tablets 7 days in my maternity bounty note wallet thingy.
I also have my notes in a pink clippy wallet too although she took my green notes off me till 16 weeks.

TakesTwoToTango · 01/05/2015 16:22

crying Starbucks cheese and game paninis have bechamel sauce in them - hence the 'wet' cheese. The cheese itself is fine and pg friendly. Don't panic!

Congrats on all the good news!!

TakesTwoToTango · 01/05/2015 16:23

Gah! Cheese and -ham- !

Dixiebell · 01/05/2015 16:44

Mmmm I want a cheese and ham toastie...

Lauramum23 · 01/05/2015 16:49

Anyone else's nails growing like crazy!? Mine are super strong!

PooSweats84 · 01/05/2015 18:34

On the Bounty pack subject, whilst we were in the scan unit, DH helped himself to another pack to see if he gets any 'good stuff' this time! He was like a bloody kid at a lucky dip stool!

flyingsprocket · 01/05/2015 18:41

I bought a little cotton shopping bag today to carry my notes in. And yes to the nails growing, although I think it's more likely a result of taking pregnacare & not dog my normal job which wrecks them. I've never really had decent nails before!

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 01/05/2015 19:19

Do you all carry your notes everywhere? I've never heard of this before, last time I was told to in the third trimester but I thought that was only because I had placenta praevia? Should I be carrying them?
There's not much in them at the moment really!
