I'm well hairy so I don't think I can use the gender hair growth theory as it grows like the clappers anyway! My head hair did start falling out about 4 months after DS was born though, so I got pregnant again (joking, that wasn't the actual reason, but it did stop it Grin)

Evening ladies! Thought I'd jump on the bump wagon....this is mine as 11+3.... Only ever at night! Probably doesn't help I've just had a massive helping of Mac n cheese!!

Met my new MW this morning. She seems ok, liked to rush through the appt. I felt.

Hi,
I've been very quiet as nothing to say. No symptoms, no appointments and very very busy at work.
But really reassuring to see the bump pics. 3 people at work asked me if I was pregnant this week and I was only 10 weeks! I was going to come on here and ask if anyone else was somehow showing already but it seems so.
Is it because it's my second and I'm petite?

Frescoed · 30/04/2015 20:34

Was very relieved today to see an actual baby in there at the scan today!

Very chilled out and lying with its head on the base and legs up on the side (honestly, one step away from cocktail in hand!) so had to do some wiggling to get it to raise the head enough for NT measurement. At one point it was looking straight at the thing, so we got the full alien impression Grin

Waiting on screening results next, does the anxiety never end?!

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 30/04/2015 21:37

Definitely no proper bump here! Didn't show til about 26 weeks with dd but I would imagine once it starts it will be bigger this time- assuming there are still two babies in there by my scan.
Speaking of which, I am so so scared of the scan the week after next. After my mmc, I had an early scan this time for reassurance, hoping to see a heartbeat.
There is nothing less reassuring than seeing two bloody heartbeats. Now I have absolutely no idea what to expect from my scan at 13 weeks. Not only the worry about whether everything is ok and the NT testing, but simply the question of whether there will still be two. Really feels uncertain.

Thanks girls i will assume no news is good news re the combined test.

Talking of hairy I notice that my face looks fuzzy when the light shines on it Shock

But on the plus side my hair looks the best it ever has and my nails are growing so quickly!!!Grin

Poppyninja · 30/04/2015 22:08

Another thread? Wow!
Agree with others about mahoosive bump in evening then slight swelling in the morning. It's weird. Boobs are on another level. Loving having them for first time in my life Smile

Loving all the scan pics, roll on Tuesday!!

ninjabeer · 30/04/2015 22:19

Evening all. So lovely to see all the scans. Mine is on Wednesday and to be honest I'm pretty nervous. Haven't had much in the way of symptoms just sore boobs and massive appetite with a bit of tiredness. TMI alert - since Monday I've had brown discharge on and off. Midwife said not to worry as not bright red or cramps but I am concerned. Not had cramps or pain as such but have had the feeling of an upset tummy without the usual results Confused I'm 11+1 has any one else had this? So worried that something has gone wrong and we'll find out at the scan. Sorry to post on such a downer Sad

bugoven · 01/05/2015 03:14

ninja I had the tiniest bit of pinkish red discharge last week and abdominal pain that didn't turn into a bug. I told myself nothing was wring but after a sleepless night I called my midwife for advice and got a scan appointment at the EPAU. That was Friday, I was around 11 weeks and all was ok with no indication of any bleeding so it may have been from my cervix.
So all is probably fine but if you are worrying call your midwife.

Re face fuzz. Mine is a constant battle and as today was pay fay I have invested in some Veet sensitive wax strips and Joleen. What a treat! Need to do some work on it all tonight as I'm on a hen do tomorrow with lots of glam non-hairy girls who do not know I'm pregnant!

ninjabeer · 01/05/2015 05:33

Just got up for a wee and now I have bright red spotting. Will try and get a doctor's appointment this morning. This pregnancy lark is such a blooming roller coaster. Sad

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 01/05/2015 06:36

Try and get an earlier scan ninja. They don't need to reschedule your one on Wednesday but they should check what's going on asap.
Hope you get answers soon. Fingers crossed the spotting is nothing, as it has been with so many others.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 01/05/2015 06:36

Do you definitely need a doctors referral for your epu? Might be worth calling them directly just to check.

Focusfocus · 01/05/2015 07:08

Thinking of you ninja, fingers crossed x

Hi all, gosh I need to try harder, can't believe we're onto another thread already - you guys are chatty!

Got my scan this morning, bang on 12 weeks. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't more nervous than excited, I just want this to go well so I can relax a bit and tell everyone! My grandparents are going to be thrilled Smile

To all the ladies showing lovely bumps already, are any of you first timers? I know as a first timer it's not unusual that I'm not showing yet in the slightest but I can't help but be a little jealous.

Good luck to everyone with scans coming up

BleachedBarnet · 01/05/2015 08:14

Just caught up and saw your posts ninja thinking of you

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 01/05/2015 08:35

bleached I'm not showing yet and I'm a second timer. And I'm having twins.

cryingbabymess · 01/05/2015 08:42

Bleached I'm a first timer and feel huge lol.

Dixiebell · 01/05/2015 08:46

Nope mine's a number 3 bump bleached and I definitely had nothing of the sort at this stage with 1 or 2. It will come. But it can surprise you how lng it takes. As I've said before, at my 20 wk scan with both ds1 and ds2 I had no noticeable bump. Someone I know said it's no.3 that ruins you and I think they may be right...!

BlueBananas · 01/05/2015 08:46

Good luck today ninja hoping for good news for you

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 01/05/2015 08:56

Hope all goes well ninja

I'm a second timer with a small bump. I thought I had one at about 10 weeks but must've been bloat. Still in normal clothes if I want to at 14+1
I think it's because even though I'm small I've got quite a long torso, and slightly tall too.
I feel big but looking at other women (without meaning to sound rude!) a lot have a tiny belly anyway
I think I'm ahead of last time size wise, but I was not noticeable to others until the third tri then

flyingsprocket · 01/05/2015 09:02

Good luck with your scan today bleached

No bump here for this first timer, I still get the evening bloat which comes from under my ribs so I'm fairly sure that's no baby!

Thinking of you ninja

On the subject of Bounty folders, I'd never heard of bounty til I met the midwife. I immediately binned the plastic folder thingy but now I'm looking for something lovely to put my notes in. Any ideas?

PooSweats84 · 01/05/2015 09:43

Aren't Bounty packs rubbish now?! You used to get all sorts of free samples, I've received both packs and got one tiny tub of Sudocrem and 2 PG Tips teabags! I need to find something nice for my notes too, this time around instead of a lovely booklet thingy it's a huge cardboard folder which is rubbish at holding anything! Listen to me, moaning minnie, I'm so nervous and snarkey, 11am needs to hurry up, I'm nervous as hell and need a pee already!!

Lauramum23 · 01/05/2015 10:03

The metallic taste has returned!? Hideous

BlueBananas · 01/05/2015 10:14

I didn't even get sudocrem in my bounty pack this time Hmm jut some de-caff tea bags and a sample of fabric softener (that I can't use because DS has bad skin so we use specific stuff! They're such a load of shite!
I'm just keeping my notes on one of those plastic coloured wallets with a clippy button, if you got what I meant by that description? Ha
The only thing I've found to get rid of my metallic taste is apple juice or yoghurt, but it doesn't work for long to be fair - horrid horridness!
