I didn't do antenatal classes last time - I was booked on but dd made an unexpected arrival before the classes started. I'd quite like to do a refresher course this time, thanks for the idea takestwo.

Last time around I slept on my back till 20 something weeks then it started to make me feel a bit faint so I stopped - I think it's OK until your body tells you to stop.

I have the opposite problem with my blood pressure as it is always on the high side and later on in my last pregnancy it was borderline too high and I had to go in for lots of extra checks. If i relaxed enough i could always gert it down to an acceptable level. The problem for me is that the more people fuss and tut over it, the higher it goes!

Sorry to hear about the crap days.

Abbey when you tell people about your pregnancy can you tell them in a really positive way : 'I have the most amazing news, I am pg and so happy that my ds will have a little sibling to play with, it's going to be so much fun' etc'. If you frame it in a really positive way then people will find it difficult to say negative things in response. And if they do just ignore them and carry on telling them how wonderful it is until they take the hint and stfu.

Aw sorry so many of you are feelin crappy!

wishy you're better off out of there I think! Enjoy your rest.

Did everyone get given their notes at their midwife appointment? Had my 16wk yesterday but they didn't give me any notes, and on my 20wk scan thing it says to take them with me... But I don't have them. Hmmm!

Oohh new thread coming up Smile! Ive been a bit snappy today so definitely in the narky club!! Yes to hibernating!!! I'm a real fidget in bed, I bounce/roll from one side,to my back, to the other side all night! I'm quite overweight as it is & was worried about lying on my back, MW recommended a big long 5ft pillow from Argos (£12 I think) & now I put that behind me! Xx

Gr33dyeggs · 20/05/2015 20:28

I've just brought my tea back up Sad. And I'm out of coke (a cola) to settle my stomach. This week has not been good so far with nausea and sickness! I'm on a course tomorrow and not looking forward to it at all.

Crumbelina · 20/05/2015 20:44

Pretty sure I got my notes at my 12 week scan, Bowies. I'd do a bit of pestering ...

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 20/05/2015 20:53

I think with my 1st I got my notes at my 16 week midwife appointment, this time I got them at booking in. I think you should have them by now Bowie's

I missed the parenting classes last time too Snozzberry I don't know why the NHS ones I booked on happen so late. I managed to go one about labour and then didn't have a labour!

cupcakesam84 · 20/05/2015 20:57

I got my notes at 12 week scan x

PooSweats84 · 20/05/2015 21:11

I got my notes from my midwife when she came to do my booking in appointment at about 8 weeks, it's crazy how different it is depending on where you live!

stace1986 · 20/05/2015 21:17

I had my notes at booking in appt.

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 20/05/2015 21:23

It does vary a lot doesn't it? I've noticed that from having a different hospital this time. I especially like the way the hospital have checked everything from last time at the other hospital. Yes, I'm still the same blood group and I still don't have sickle cell. It's good to check but it does amuse me, its almost as if they don't trust each other

Oddicombe37 · 20/05/2015 22:15

I was sick to about 16 weeks with my first two, This time I have been a lot less sick, weirdly, and now at 15 weeks have finally stopped retching when I brush my teeth. I still can't stand the smell of deodorant or my fridge, though.

Dixiebell · 20/05/2015 22:27

Doomclaw, my boss at work said the same to me today when I told her "don't mean this in a bad way, but I had been wondering" obviously referring to my mahoosive belly!

tootsroots · 21/05/2015 04:21

misscarlett am the same 16+5 ish and still nauseated and sick- I am on hols but am having to ask drivers to stop to throw up, sprinted out of the dining area last night due to smells etc and was sick the entire way here (17 hours in total) the more tired I am the worse it is. Def an improvement from weeks 4-14 but still emotional about not feeling 100%great around food or not eating frequently! how that works is crazy sick if I eat or don't!

Anyone else managing a good breakfast--- starting being fussy at lunch and by dinner cannot face any grown up food, meat , fish, flavours or anything? But gradually getting a bloat on regardless?

Lauramum23 · 21/05/2015 07:11

Lots to read there!
Mrs wishy washy you are well rid by the sounds!

Don't know who said about folk asking when are you having another then?? I've not been asked that for years actually! But they used to ask all the time, in fact when I'd literally just had my first the baby doctor came round the ward and asked me that question! If he wasn't so cute I think I'd have punched him! Errmm not yet nob head my fannys just been cut!!! I doubt I'll ever want sex again......... I did in fact lol and had 2 more kidsSmile

As for feeling shitty dare I say it Confused I felt loads better yesterday! I think I feel worse when I'm tired, I had a mint nights sleep last night too. Plus now I'm working just 2 days which is all I wanted. I'm quite happy ( for now damn you hormones!) Grin

Lauramum23 · 21/05/2015 07:13
