Yay - congratulations everyone! So great to catch up on all the good news! Beautiful scan pics as well.

All that worry, Doomclaw. Smile Perfectly understandable and you must be so relieved!

Crying, I passed my driving test first time on Fri 13th and intentionally booked my 8 week scan for that date a couple of months ago. I'm making it a lucky date for me. Smile

CoffeeTwo · 06/05/2015 19:45

Congratulations on all the lovely scans!

Mine is a week today I can't wait. Swinging between excited and anxious.

cryingbabymess · 06/05/2015 19:55

So here is a couple of photos of my wee monkey! Monkey is waving then pushing off me to do a somersault! Smile

So lovely to see all of the photos over the last couple of days. Congratulations to all with good news.

HeirToTheIronThrone · 06/05/2015 20:15

Both my brother and my wonderful nana were born on Friday 13th, so it can be fine :)

So jealous of the scan photos! 6 days to go...

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 06/05/2015 20:44

StAlphonsos how are you doing today?

cupcakesam84 · 06/05/2015 20:53

Awww everyones getting their scans :) congratulations scanees! Mines Friday! Hurry up Friday, I want to see my little squidge!! This last few days ive noticed a feeling like I've got a water balloon above my belly button & below my boobs, anyone else got this? Salt spray for what? Anyone know anything good for hayfever? Xx

tootsroots · 06/05/2015 21:13

I think it is called sterimer . When I was awfully coldly and sucky with it my lovely pharmacist suggested it - honestly was better than sudafed and helped with the snotty headaches and coughing through it going down my throat.

Hope that helps!!!
Oh and ginger steeped in hot water !

Get well soon!!!

NoMoreSashimi · 06/05/2015 21:15

Cupcakes the salt water spray is a great nasal spray for colds, I found you had to keep going with it for a while until it started working. Haven't tried with hayfever, as mine hasn't started yet.
My midwife said anti-histamines are ok as long as it's non-drowsy one's.

Lauramum23 · 06/05/2015 21:30

Crying those pictures are ace! I think that one of its legs stretched out is the best I've seen of a 12 week scan!

cupcakesam84 · 06/05/2015 21:32

Oohh really? My MW said antihistamines are a no go! I went & asked a pharmacist in boots & he said the same but he did say he didn't feel comfortable advising me in case anything went wrong as it's not tested! Thanks for advice GrinGrin xx

rebbles · 06/05/2015 21:43

Crying I love the stretched out legs one! Mine was doing that but didn't get a pic of it!

DH is now going on about moving house. Really stressing me out. Had a big row about it yesterday and now things are a bit tense. It feels worse as there is so much at stake now with baby on the way. Argh :(

NoMoreSashimi · 06/05/2015 21:47

Nhs advice on antihistamines is also very positive and names which one's are ok:

CoffeeTwo · 06/05/2015 21:51

Never ask Boots pharmacists, they wouldn't even sell me halls soothers last time! They're technically sweets!

Gr33dyeggs · 06/05/2015 21:57

Lovely scan pics today ladies!

bugoven · 06/05/2015 21:59

cupcakes we are scan day buddies! Very excited Grin

rebbles I'm sorry you've had a stressful time. To be honest during all my pregnancies I have managed to have the most passionate rows with my OH. I think it must be his need to try and provide/manage his family (or convert our shed into an office - why!?!?!) and my scary hormones being an evil combo. I swear I am biologically programmed to want to destroy my mate like a cannibalistic bug! Hope you dort things out.

StAlphonsosPancakeBreakfast · 06/05/2015 22:20

Lovely scan pics, chaps!

Guybrush thank you for asking. I've managed to get an early appointment for tomorrow morning, and DP has started driving through the night so he can make it as well, which is wonderful.

I feel totally in limbo, very rudderless, and horribly pessimistic, is the honest truth. I feel sort of doomed. Obviously I hope I'm wrong, and it's all cleared up in a week or so, but I can't seem to find a spark of optimism, for whatever reason. I will just have to deal with whatever comes, I guess.

cupcakesam84 · 06/05/2015 22:45

Thanks for link nomoresashimi! I'll defo read that! Lmfao coffeetwo, they really are like sweets, talk about over cautious!!Grin Oohhhhh bugoven yay!!!! Good luck to you, hope it all goes well GrinGrinGrinGrin! Me & my bf had our 1st argument the other week, it was about glade scented plug ins of all things!! What a stupid thing to argue about!! Haha!! X

cryingbabymess · 07/05/2015 07:16

Lauramum the photos I posted are my 2 favs. The sonographer gave us 7 photos! Im just glad I've seen it and it's very active GrinSmile

tootsroots · 07/05/2015 09:07

We had a dvd of the scan end to end (St Georges NHS £7!!) which i watched for the first time as i was simply unable to recall the scan as i was soooo nervous!!!

Our mini alien was a proper mooning bucking bronco!!! When they get bigger in my tummy this will be annoying i predict!!

How are people coping with FT jobs - my concentration and motivation are inconsistent at best!

ehealy · 07/05/2015 09:31

Tootsroots so jealous St George's used to be my local hospital. Homerton charged £4 for 2 not very good pics. Feel done in today was awake for work at 6 yesterday with a 2 hr drive home at end of day. Totally floored when will the 2nd trimester kick in and all my energy come back? I feel hungover without having had the joy of a glass of wine!

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 07/05/2015 09:41

StAlponsos thinking of you today, and glad they are seeing you quickly at least and your DP will be with you.

My scans pics were a fiver - it was 2 pounds last year - and they say inflation is close to 0% Grin

PooSweats84 · 07/05/2015 09:55

Ante-natal clinic just rang with the results of the Downs testing, low risk! Despite already having a son with Downs I'm lower risk than average for someone my age which is a good sign! I was offered an Amnio but I can't put myself through that again, I'm happy enough with those results, what ever happens, happens!

TakesTwoToTango · 07/05/2015 11:26

Congratulationspoo that's really good news.

atalph all the best today at the hospital.

newmres how are you feeling today?

Good luck to any scanees today.

I'm also feeling totally exhausted and airing for the glow! I'm not officially second tri for another week and a bit though so maybe it will come then -[ hopes in vain ]

PooSweats84 · 07/05/2015 11:42

Ok, so, I'm 14 weeks tomorrow, had no sickness at all up until now, and I've just had to make a mad dash to the toilet and threw up horrendously (tmi sorry), anyone else ever had this? With my last two I had sickness from around 6 weeks to 13, but this time nothing til about 10 minutes ago!
