Happy birthday for yesterday ehealy!

Good luck scanners!

I have a work party tonight and the skirt I wanted to wear doesn't fit! GAHHH!! I've been eating too much clearly as it's not bump!

BowiesJumper · 06/05/2015 10:49

Welcome GotTheKey, I got knocked up on the Feb TTC bus too! Grin

doomclaw · 06/05/2015 13:11

Oh the relief! There's a baby in there with a head and a heart and legs etc. Measuring 12 weeks so due on 18th. It was wriggling so much she couldn't do the NT measurement so have to wait 3 weeks for the quad test but I don't care as I am just so relieved. Phew!

Good luck to fellow scanees today and congrats to the early birds! We are on our way to the hospital. Already desperate for the loo but think its psychosomatic!

Have a good holiday focus

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 06/05/2015 13:47

Congratulations on lovely scans and good luck to those still waiting.

15 weeks tomorrow and finally (hopefully) feeling a bit better physically. I think I underestimated how this pregnancy might affect me mentally after the last one though. Was in tears at a thread on here of a woman saying she was 37 weeks and wished she'd had the baby already. Stupid hormones. And stupid people wishing for premature babies
Hopefully now I'm in the second trimester I'll be less emotional soon!

cryingbabymess · 06/05/2015 15:16

Wooooo I've seen my baby!!! GrinSmileGrinSmile There's also only one! It's a very active one! Doing head stands and somersaults. She said my NT looks low but gotta send stuff to Edinburgh so have a 2 week wait!

EDD has been brought forward by 3 days so I'm now EDD 13/11 which is a bloody Friday....! My child is due Friday 13th Shock lol.

Lauramum23 · 06/05/2015 15:39

Hi everyone glad to hear good news today!
My scan date is the 18th may thank god I've got a date I'll be 13 weeks then so week on Monday not bad! I'm busy with work so it won't drag too much hopefully.

bugoven · 06/05/2015 15:46

congratulations on all the lovely scan news!

I know what you mean Abbey about wishing for an early baby. My son was 3 weeks early and definitely won't be wishing that on us again. If I can go overdue and give birth naturally I will e so so grateful of the extra weeks of discomfort.

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 06/05/2015 16:08

crying DS was born on the 13th and this one could be Halloween. I think 'unlucky' dates are quite cool actually. I got a cheap honeymoon by flying Friday 13th and a half empty plane, thanks superstitious people for the bargain Grin

bugoven thanks, me too! Hoping for a nice calm ELCS at 39-40 weeks this time. I think people genuinely don't realise how important the last bit can be. Let's hope we're both big and fed up!

Lauramum23 · 06/05/2015 16:21

I know there was this woman at school who started whining on about being fed up and wanting her baby out blah blah ,as her son came a week early and she must have started moaning at about 36 weeks ffs I think I said when r u due? She said oh about 3 weeks!? I thought omg I went 12 days over with my daughter ( I wasn't bothered!) I mean obviously it gets boring at the end but just enjoy the peace! She was so annoying and such an attention seeker! Facebook every 5 mins and then her other half had a go at everyone telling them to stop asking her if she dropped yet etc etc Grin in the end I think she went a week over haha daft cowSmileSmileSmile

They come when they want my first was 3 days over second 12 and last one almost his due date! All different I always say count to 42 weeks then you won't be disappointed when that due date comes and goes!

Lauramum23 · 06/05/2015 16:22

But I shall add be prepared from 38 weeks!? Although no one in my family has given birth early always late!

tootsroots · 06/05/2015 16:37

Key... try the salt nose spray... its the nuts!

TakesTwoToTango · 06/05/2015 17:04

All looks good on my scan! Nuchal under the threshold and no other signs of anything untoward at this stage (I am high risk for other complications). Testing works differently here to uk so have to wait 2 weeks for blood results and will keep news quiet until then. Measuring nearly a week ahead but they are keeping my dd at 15/11/15. No sign of the (ongoing) bleed either so that's positive Smile

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 06/05/2015 17:14

All my family were late babies too. Who knows, maybe DS would have been late if left to it. I had an emcs due to bleeding with my low lying placenta so I was never in labour if that makes sense. He could well have been 42 weeks if it wasn't for my pancake placenta!
I'll be packing my bag early this time anyway, from whatever point it is you have to give birth no matter what (sorry grim subject) then add in the baby bits later, tiny baby first then if I get further along I'll put bigger sizes in. DH was very good last time but some instructions got misinterpreted. The midwives thought the pants he brought me were hilarious and one kept calling me 'sexy knickers' ...I'd said big, old, dark pants not the smallest most expensive ones in the drawer. So I really will be organised this time!

stace1986 · 06/05/2015 17:18

Here is my scan pic :) all went well just got to wait and hear on bloods.

Toots is salt nose spray for colds?

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 06/05/2015 17:20

My dd came on her due date. But now I'm having twins I'm really nervous about them coming early. More than half of twins come before 35 weeks Sad

Lauramum23 · 06/05/2015 17:34

Don't worry guy what will be will be (I'm laid back can u tell!) my sisters twins came at 38 weeks and they were 6 and a bit and 7 and a bit lbs! Good sized twins Grin

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 06/05/2015 17:50

From friends experiences they really monitor you closely with twins, so you should be well looked after Guybrush In a way if you know there's a possibility of prem birth you can get organised and choose a hospital with all the facilities etc. I know that doesnt make the worry easier but forewarned is forearmed or whatever it is they say. I was a bit too relaxed about it all last time, lesson learnt though

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 06/05/2015 17:58

I guess there's nothing I can do anyway! At least I know my body handles one baby to full term very well. Must the thought of babies needing help in hospital and trying to juggle that with looking after my dd seems like a scary prospect.

No point worrying though.

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 06/05/2015 18:05

Ah yeah, it's more difficult with DCs at home isn't it? SIL is due start of October and I'm at the end so I'm worried about who will look after DS if we're in at the same time. DH can do it of course but I'd like him to be at the birth. It's unlikely scenario but it's worrying me - I was in at the same time as another family member last time despite our due dates being 6 weeks apart! I was in for 8 days but no DCs at home. Still there's no point worrying yet - I've still got to safely navigate the 20 week scan first

Unthoughtknown · 06/05/2015 18:42

I'll catch up on the thread in a second, but here's baby unthought who was remarkably well behaved in the scan.

LadyStark · 06/05/2015 18:44

My little sisters (twins) were born at 41 weeks so whilst it's more likely, it's not a given, try not to worry.

Lovely to see all these scan pics, so exciting!

Unthoughtknown · 06/05/2015 18:54

oo crying I am due on the 13th as well, didn't realise it was a Friday!

PooSweats84 · 06/05/2015 19:03

I've waited in all day for some nice comfy maternity leggings to be delivered, paid for next day delivery too, f*cking Yodel strike again, or not as the case may be! Also, what's this salt spray we're talking about? I've got a horrible cold and dry tickly throat that's driving me bonkers, I need a miracle cure!
