Hi all, i've just had two weeks hols from work and started back on monday. Its a standing job but they have provided an (uncomfortable) seat so i try to alternate between sitting and standing. Since monday night baby feels really low down and i have been getting what feels like muscle aches in my groin/pelvis. Seeing doctor on friday but has anyone else had this? Normal stretching or possible spd? Its getting uncomfortable to walk around even though baby has moved up again now. Have text midwife but not heard back yet and getting a but concerned :(

MummyBexta · 10/06/2015 15:23

jaxtreehorn I'm a primary school teacher currently in the Nursery class and on my feet loads. Monday to Friday I'm aching!!!

jaxtreehorn · 10/06/2015 15:52

Ok hopefully just normal then. Just been able to work with no issues up til now and this week suddenly i can hardly walk. Hoping its just baby in an awkwardly low position and the fact ive eaten too much CakeSmile.

jaxtreehorn · 10/06/2015 15:53

I dont envy you the nursery class! Roll on the summer hols so you can put your feet up Grin

Maths88 · 10/06/2015 16:17

I'm also a teacher but being high school means I can sit down if necessary. I try to avoid it because I feel guilty but I can if need be. Don't know how you cope in nursery.

MummyBexta · 10/06/2015 16:25

It's a bit tricky especially as before pregnancy I spent most of the time engaging with children sitting on the floor or on the tiny furniture. I've been using a bigger chair when I can but it is difficult at times. 5 weeks to go after this one then six weeks to put my feel up so can't complain.

I think as our bumps are getting bigger we also are just noticing aches and pains more - not as mobile as we once were Jaxtreehorn

Purpleball · 10/06/2015 17:08

Still team purple here after another scan Smile
Baby is growing ok though, a bit big but I'm diabetic so not worrying

I asked MW about movement and she said that it should be starting to have a routine and that I shouldn't worry about it yet but to notice the routine
She's booked me in for whooping cough jab at 28 weeks

TheMidnightHour · 10/06/2015 18:00

Had a bit of a panic on Sunday night (about 11pm, not the ideal time to be ringing the MAU) as hadn't felt much since noon, and Bean is usually fairly active in the evening. Did get some good kicks though, so eventually stopped worrying.

Wonder if it's worth having a list of things that might wake them up, as I can't see this worry suddenly vanishing?

I've successfully woken Bean up with noisy noises, including rattling a bag of sweets, DP running the vacuum, next door doing lots of hammering (she hammered back, lol).
Doing pelvic floors does it sometimes.
I reckon she wakes up after I eat chocolate - but only if it's the good stuff.
Other people have said hot drinks, iced drinks and sugary ones.

Any more ideas?

MummyBexta · 10/06/2015 18:25

Themidnighthour Definately fizzy drinks - especially lucazade or coke. Also sweets/chocolate Cake

DeladionInch · 10/06/2015 18:59

Spicy food

ovumahead · 10/06/2015 19:08

I always drink an icy fresh orange juice and lie on my side. Works without fail, often takes a few minutes!

Had an extra scan today due to frequent (weekly ) loss of old blood (brown) nearly every week since 19 weeks. All seemed well! Consultant didn't seem too concerned either. Scan showed she's breech but I can't imagine that's a problem at 26weeks?! They booked me another scan for 36 weeks to check and started talking about cesarean if she doesn't turn Confused I've been hoping for a home birth! Argh

MummyBexta · 10/06/2015 19:26

Oh yeh lying on my side works for me too!

Treaclepie19 · 10/06/2015 22:13

Themidnighthour how strange, that was the same time I was at the hospital getting checked out!
Nothing works for me if he's not moving, but I think that's because I drink iced water and eat chocolate generally.

Eeek. Temporarily homeless! Because our old house is sold and paid for and we're waiting for confirmation that the vendors have our cash for the new one so we can get keys. All our worldly goods on a lorry and DH and I eating bacon sarnies in a cafe.

misssmilla1 · 11/06/2015 13:17

ooh, good luck bonzo!

Choccyhobnob · 11/06/2015 16:10

So tomorrow I'm going on my first holiday since last June, 4 days in Spain just chilling out and doing nothing Smile but all day today I've had dull stabbing pains right in my bits! I've been really busy at work rushing around all day so I'm hoping it's just that, don't want to be worrying or in pain on holiday Sad

Treaclepie19 · 11/06/2015 20:12

Oh no bonzo! Hope it gets sorted for you.

choccy I've been having the same thing. Think its just nerves being pressed on.

Happy Birthday Maths!

Boodlymummy · 12/06/2015 22:11

Waves of epic tiredness every afternoon the last three days, like first trimester. Have snuck off for a nap each time as quiet at work, but I can't do that all summer!

cavamonster · 12/06/2015 22:20

I am the same boodly, starting to become exhausted during the day - heat probably isn't helping!

MummyBexta · 12/06/2015 22:20

Me too!! So tired again and the heat has got me feeling nauseaus Confused

Maths88 · 13/06/2015 09:27

Broodly I know how you feel. It's horrendous!

Luckily I'm done with work in 5 weeks and can then have all the naps I want - inbetween moving house and sorting everything out for the baby?! But I don't know how I'm going to cope inbetween.

DeladionInch · 14/06/2015 19:41

How is everybody? Busy weekend?
