Gin - congratulations. Grin Glad one of those things worked to get him here speedily.

Bazza2 · 18/06/2015 19:55

Congratulations gin!

Usernamesarehard · 19/06/2015 07:52

Congrats gin!

Poor dh just slid down the stairs holding her! I've had 90mins sleep and a panic attack-nice first eve home. He was holding her really tightly against him so she's fine and he's battered. Oh god how am I going to date take her up/ down the stairs ever again?

Usernamesarehard · 19/06/2015 07:52

Take

GinFizz15 · 19/06/2015 08:51

Thanks for all the best wishes!! He's gorgeous but he still doesn't have a name - it's between two. Hopefully we'll decide today. He's feeding ok so far and dd is happy he's arrived. I'm so sorry to hear that user - that must have been awful, worse when you're sleep deprived and anxious anyway. The main thing is that baby's ok

zahaziland · 19/06/2015 11:31

Sorry for the silence....
Baby boy was born Sunday 14th June late afternoon - birth was not as smooth as I would have hoped, but at least baby arrived safely. First few days a bit chaotic, but now trying to settle down to a routine.

i will be joining the post-natal thread, thanks for starting it.

Congratulations to all those who had babies this week - I will find a time to go back and read all the posts I missed.

comeagainforbigfudge · 19/06/2015 13:57

user sorry to hear about your dh's fall, glad to hear they are both ok though!

Usernamesarehard · 19/06/2015 19:47

She was completely unscathed, just a shakey start to the day!
Congrats zaha x

jazzyjenbo · 20/06/2015 19:55

Congratulations on your little boy zah, hope hes being good for you. Does he have a name?
Not to many more babies left now, well over the 1/2 way point.
Jen, when are your twins due? Don't think you are on the stats list. There are 2 other sets of twins aswell.
If anyone else want to join the fb group let know x

Jenbird5891 · 21/06/2015 12:59

Yea sorry never did work out how to use the stats list. Due date was 9th July but being induced at 38weeks so 25th June! Not long now!

Tryingreallyhard84 · 21/06/2015 14:57

Ooo, congratulations zahazi. Grin Thanks

rolypolybird84 · 21/06/2015 17:00

How is everybody feeling today?

Feeling a bit down and emotional (39 weeks pregnant it was going to happen eventually!)

I'm beginning to think more about the labour in terms of realistic what will happen if I end up going overdue and then have to be induced I won't be able to go in the water?

I really think I'm going to go overdue Sad Not actually due until Thursday but I always thought they dated me a little early and I've had absolutely zilch (ZILCH!) to indicate imminent labour.

Can't walk because of SPD and bouncing on ball seems to make it worse too. So feeling like I can't take active control over much.

I'm also getting fed up with being asked whether I think it will be soon. And my friend who was due 6 days after me had her baby a few days ago (and named it a very unusual name that bizarrely was also on my VERY short shortlist! So that name is out. Really couldn't believe it I've never met another person with this name.)

Anyway...done moaning sorry there is nowhere else to put these thoughts today! Hope others who are still pregnant are feeling more positive than me.

roly I was induced after going 12 days over and it really wasn't bad at all I had very minimal intervention, just one pessary and that did the trick, so don't panic if you do have to go down that route it doesn't mean it will be a bad birth experience.. I managed mine with no pain relief and she was massive! I know what you mean about people keep asking you I got to the stage of wanting to actually punch people who asked me, but I had to remember that they meant well!

As sun said it can happen at any time
With no symptoms before hand so hopefully you will have your baby by Thursday if not before!

comeagainforbigfudge · 22/06/2015 13:23

Aw roly, poor you. Spd is awful isn't it. I couldn't use the exercise balls either. So uncomfortable! Hope baby makes an appearance soon

OP posts:
Tryingreallyhard84 · 22/06/2015 18:56

Roly - I'm getting antsy about being induced too. I'm only 40+2 but was told that baby's head was still free on Friday which put me in a right grump about it all. Sad

I've had some crampiness off and on but nothing else. Doesn't help that oh decided to start his leave today so it's now odds on I'll go to next week and he'll only get two weeks with the baby. stupid man. Envy

At least I don't have your spd pain but, for what little it's worth, I've been sat on my birth ball since around 31 weeks and it appears to have gotten me nowhere.

AnythingNotEverything · 22/06/2015 23:16

Just checking back in as this had fallen off TIO.

I'm due tomorrow. Feel like you Roly (but thankfully without the SPD). Hopefully we'll have our babies soon.

rolypolybird84 · 23/06/2015 10:15

Ah thank you everybody for your lovely encouraging words! I'm feeling more positive today! I'm very hopeful that minimal intervention is required.

Is anybody doing hypnobirthing? I've had a bit of a half hearted attempt at listening to Maggie Howell!

How are people filling their last few days of pregnancy?

Thanks again x x x

Tryingreallyhard84 · 23/06/2015 11:44

Roly - glad to hear you're feeling a bit more positive today. I spent about 3 hours last night willing baby here.

I'm planning on the cinema with hubs and friends today then out for tea for friend's birthday. I just can't stay in the house. I will probably go for a walk as well. Exciting. Smile

Anyone still on here? Just seeing if anymore babies have arrived x

rolypolybird84 · 28/06/2015 22:45

Hope people are all doing ok! Wanted to announce the wonderful news that our beautiful baby boy arrived on Thursday on his due date! There I was worrying about going overdue Smile

Woke up at 5am with period pains and had a sweep booked for midday with midwife. She did the sweep and I was 2cm already. At this point the cramps were literally like period pains but by 1pm I phoned husband to come home (he was 2 hours away!)

By 3pm he was home and contractions ramping up but still totally manageable. I was thinking this was early labour and plenty of time!

Got to hospital at 5pm (despite them trying to put me off and wait at home!) the contractions in the car were NOT fun and far far less manageable! Grin

Was 5cm at 5.30 when they checked. Fully dilated by 6pm. Born at 6.14pm! Bit of a shock! Didn't get in the pool and only a couple of gulps of gas and air before he arrived with ventouse!

And for all my worries about not being ready...I only had my show just before she said I was 5cm.

I am so overwhelmed by how much I love him already. I am rather emotional today!

Hope all pregnant ladies are still ok I was feeling so crap about still being pregnant but it's truly worth every second x x x
