Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 26th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oLJqpadAb2givKYq8OJfGCti3s6xzsTGlI-GoaBfM_M/edit?pli=1#gid=0

You need ^^ for italics wil. Sorry you are ill! I recommend sofa, chocolate and tea. Basically that helps most illnesses. Same for you chat, except you might know some actual medical support!

I could be a squirter gaggia, but feels more like liquid than normal CM so not sure!

Glad you are getting on ok could. I am told the first 6 weeks are the hardest, hang in there!

We had a birth story at yoga last night. My first one - I am now terrified! It sounded awful. She said horrible words like 'tear', 'episiotomy' and 'infection'.

RhiannonElward · 28/04/2015 09:43

Oh no Wil, sorry to hear you're feeling rubbish, daytime TV and some paracetamol will get you through it. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for the car seat support Ga and Tee I do think that there is never any need to charge hundreds of pounds for a car seat, it's plastic and foam! But still you want the best for baby and it feels like crap when I can't afford the best for mine. That said, a hefty amount of research has taught me that expensive does not always mean good. I like the one we've chosen, now all I have to do is get a reluctant dp to hand over the cash! I might need to get a torture device or put him on a sex ban. Any ideas ladies?

Dulcet please do get checked, although losing nothing might be a good sign, you might just be out of water or something, and it's best to be overcautious than sorry. Let us know how you get on.

Purple get the second hand cot if you like it and are happy with it, so long at it's functioning properly there's no reason why not. Mine will be using a cot that's in the attic, and about 25 years old? It's from dp's aunty and she used it for both her grown up boys. It's in good condition and we co-sleep most of the time so I don't see the point of forking out on a new one, I have a new mattress ready for it though :)

La glad you get to take your leave early, there's no point struggling in and being uncomfortable all day, and it means enjoy the last few days of preparing and get the rest you need. Also, is it normal to get a whooping cough vaccine at the 31 week mark? I've not read anything about it and have no idea if or when I need to sort that out. I could ask my midwife but why when I have you lot? ;) Plus, I'm not having my 16 week appointment, I rang up to book it for 17 weeks because I couldn't make 16 weeks, but that's next Monday which is a Bank Holiday and there's no clinic, so given that I have my consultant appointment on the 7th, midwife said I'll have all the checks there so no need to book in for the week after. I'm disappointed, but felt silly telling her that I want to go twice just so I get to hear the heartbeat as soon as possible.

Also, I'll be dyeing my hair on the weekend at some point, and will definitely put a picture up when it's done and I look less like I've walked through some thick cobwebs. The friend who's doing it for me is someone I've known since school and she bleached my hair for me when we were 15. I ended up sitting two mock GCSE's looking like a badger before spending 4 hrs having it put right in the hairdressers. I'm hoping I fair better this time.

RPopz · 28/04/2015 10:08

Dulcet! Get thee to a midwife!!

DulcetMoans · 28/04/2015 11:42

I tried ringing, she won't answer! Is it ok to text the midwife? I am not sure!

You still trust her to do it rhi! Can we have photos even if it does look like a badger again?

mountaingirl01 · 28/04/2015 11:54

dulcet my midwife always prefers text.. get her attention!
gaggia I struggle with a round my nails where there is loads of dry skin (I have such sexy feminine hands Hmm)

Sorry all you viroids are poorly! Definitely prescribing days off with cake for jou all (and wil I say make that man take a day off and look after the minis! )
I have a new phone. Keyboard essentially the same but driving me nuts!

WilHarlot · 28/04/2015 12:30

Thankfully he is off anyway Mountain and supposed to be recovering himself but we're muddling through.

Dulcet, phone triage. Now. Or I'll come down there and whoop your ass wouldn't worry, it would take me quite a long time and I'm five foot tall.

Purpleball · 28/04/2015 12:54

Wil I hope you feel better soon. I missed your I'm ill comment.

WilHarlot · 28/04/2015 15:09

Great list Purple. Can we pin it on fb page or something?

splodge77 · 28/04/2015 16:21

Just lugged my great bulk out to the cinema, paid £9 (£9 on a weekday afternoon?!?) and the film was shit. Grump!! Ah well at least I bought chocolate.

ChatEnOeuf · 28/04/2015 16:36

Excellent lists...thanks. V pleased ours are on the good one!

Hope you're feeling better Wil. Sofa and cake have helped somewhat. Have booked physio for next week as well. I don't reckon I'm going to glow at all this pregnancy.

gaggiagirl · 28/04/2015 17:11

splodge what film.was it?

I'm jolly proud to say I passed my hand washing assessment first time! I did not cheat with the uv cream distribution I'm very good!

DulcetMoans · 28/04/2015 17:31

Yay for clean hands gaggia! When you fail do you just keep going until you pass?

What film did you see splodge?

Excellent list purple, that should make it much simpler for lazy people like me! Is there the same for prams??

Spoke to midwife, told me to call the day assessment unit because she can't answer at my number of weeks (!), called them and they want me to go in. Now I feel silly. I think everything is fine really and don't want to cause a fuss. What if I'm just a squirter now!! Confused

gaggiagirl · 28/04/2015 17:55

Yes dulcet we just keep washing til we get it right. How many weeks are you? Please dont feel silly about being a squirter Grin its always best to get checked out!

splodge77 · 28/04/2015 18:26

Film was The Falling - pretentious & dull I'm afraid. Hmm been getting more tightenings & pains this pm but not sure if things are gearing off or if it's more wind ha ha! DS off nursery tomorrow so Sod's law it'll all happen!

LaLaLaaaa · 28/04/2015 18:50

Ooh splodge! readies the Pom poms

Dulcet you're not wasting anyone's time. Best to go in and get checked.

Mini - bounce bounce bounce!

Thanks for list purple I'm happy with my purchase now!

Tired. Dh just got home, they won!

WilHarlot · 28/04/2015 19:02

That's fab La, does that mean more baby bag shopping for you? Wink

So exciting Splodge. You should have gone to a scary film in case that got things moving.

LaLaLaaaa · 28/04/2015 19:38

Not yet unfortunately! I thought it was finals but it was semi finals so one more task left. They did really well though and beat all the London bars. Up against 2 bars (Newcastle and Bristol) in final round

teejayem · 28/04/2015 20:08

dulcet don't make us come over there mob-handed......

Ooh, splodge that's exciting! . The new Jurassic park film is out around the time I'm due so I want to see it in the hope roaring t Rexes encourage this one out.

Yay la! When's the next round?

How are you feeling now wil? Wine

went and had a pedi with a foot massage as recommended. Don't think it's made a lot of difference swelling wise (also entertaining my toddler nephew prob didn't help) but now I have awesome tropical blue toes :)

So is lots and lots of cm normal in this later phase? I had a lot before, but now it's fucking ludicrous, I'm going thru 3-4 liners a day to avoid knicker bleach and having to wear boxers in bed . It's def cm, not weird or itchy or anything, there just seems to be a lot of it. We had a hilariously challenging shag last night and Mr tee popped like a teenager because apparently everything felt compressed and tight foof-wise. Assuming my child's head has given me a virginal vag as a last hurrah....?

gaggiagirl · 28/04/2015 20:32

That's great la!

tee I have loads of cm. Buckets of it! Will it get worse? High five for the challenging shag!

Purpleball · 28/04/2015 20:38

Yeah I'll post prams on Facebook later, I need to be on laptop

I now have a tooth abscess and need to go to dentist tomorrow. Are antibiotics safe in pregnancy?

Tee a pedicure sounds lovely Smile

Dulcet hope everything is ok

I bought a travel cot for £10 off the local Facebook selling site, apparently it's only been used twice. I'll get a new mattress for it.

gaggiagirl · 28/04/2015 23:05

dulcet everything ok?

Fattycow · 28/04/2015 23:07

I haven't had time to check in for a few days. How is everyone?

OP posts:
DulcetMoans · 28/04/2015 23:12

I went ok, I've been to the assessment unit. Lots of waiting, 20mins on a trace and checking bed pads to decide it's not my waters. So that's great news. We had an embarrassing conversation about discharge and I am to wear pads for a bit. Just feels like too much to be that but i can't reproduce it to be sure - it just happens! So feel bad for taking up time but at least I checked and now I know that the assessment unit looks like. Lovely male midwife, so friendly and supportive!

Congrats to Mr La! One more stage, have you spent the imaginary money already?

Not sure about antibiotics purple but dentist should know I would have thought!
