Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 26th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oLJqpadAb2givKYq8OJfGCti3s6xzsTGlI-GoaBfM_M/edit?pli=1#gid=0

Ooh are we trying to outdo each other with ailments? I see your current action and raise you:

Bruises bump at top - apparently baby pushing against ribs (feels like sunburn)
Carpal tunnel
Hip pain - as yet undiagnosed, potentially SPD or hip dysplasia as a result of eating all the pies plus baby weight
Weird scaly skin patches

Hooray - bring on the third trimester!

teejayem · 15/04/2015 21:20

Don't get excited about third Trim la - I've been as knackered as I was at the very start and I'm too bloody uncomfortable to sleep. Torture!!!

Hobbit19 · 15/04/2015 22:55

Newbie questions: at what point do I need to see a doctor? Presume it is a bit early at the mo? And do I see Doc or midwife?

I am taking folic acid, not drinking caffeine (I don't anyway) or booze (I miss that already). Washing my hands before we eat (we have cats), have I missed anything major?

LaLaLaaaa · 15/04/2015 23:12

Ha ha ha Christmas pud! Genius.

Pud you'll need to see midwife around 8 weeks pg, them get bloods done and booking in appointment around 10 weeks. Start by phoning dr surgery to book 8 week mw appointment. Mw will go through appointment schedule with you. At first one you take urine sample.

LaLaLaaaa · 15/04/2015 23:14

Nhs has good advice for what you should and shouldn't be eating. Take preg vits as they have all the diff vits you need plus iron.

Babycentre app is good if you have a smart phone. It has lots of advice and gives you daily/weekly info about what to expect and what's happening with baby.

Ah man! I missed the new fred creation again! Sorry viroids, I'm crap at keeping up-to-date.

Name: minimooo
Age: 31
DC: two bunnies (and cooking a girl baby - 38+5 weeks)

Congrats and welcome pud! Christmas baby would be awesome Smile

tee I hear you on the ice cream sundaes. I've eaten my weight in Magnums over the last couple of weeks Grin

I got a bit stressed earlier because I feel like mil is being overbearing. She's phoning me every day at the moment Angry Jesus woman, back off. She's making up random excuses to call (discussing curtain fabric, BBQ invitations etc) She also insisted on coming to the funeral on Monday which really didn't help I should have been stronger and told her not to come, but it felt a bit wrong because she kept saying how she wanted to pay her respects etc. I'm probably being an unreasonable preggo lady, but she's making me feel really claustrophobic. Blush

WilHarlot · 16/04/2015 00:05

Oh no Mini that sounds difficult. Not sure what the best course of action is.

Sorry Fatty, am sure you're very active too. Your name is misleading. Really I'm the only lazy bugger round here and was just trying to tar you all with the same brush.

Name:Wil
Age:35 Sad
DC: One terrible (but cute) twoer and one velcro baby, 3 months.
Current activity: Still hanging round these parts like a bad smell and will be until y'all chuck me out.

Toast85 · 16/04/2015 06:05

Howdy, new Fred!
Name: toast
Age: 29
DCs: one cat-baby
Ttc: jan 15
Upduffered: 13+4 with actual (tiny) baby who has arms and legs and everything apparently!
Current activity: mostly consisting of crying in toilets as hormones get the better of me, or marvelling at the fact I grew a mini bump

pud it does depend on your local area- I had to see GP to get a mw referral, (so booked a GP appointment straight away as soon as I found out) and first time I saw mw was booking appt at about 8 weeks.
Just give your GP surgery a call and sure they'll explain your local procedure.

Toast85 · 16/04/2015 06:17

Oops actually 13+5. Lost a day somewhere.

I had garlic bread with dinner last night and oh the awful garlic fog I am in this morning. It's worse than usual, I'm blaming the bean.

DulcetMoans · 16/04/2015 07:22

Name: Dulcet
Age: 29
DC: none but housing an aubergine.

Was about to say same as toast! Just call drs and see how it works where you are pud as each area is different - one consistency you will find through pregnancy is your NHS will probably do it different to half of us!

I agree on the scaly patches la, started noticing that last week. On my face! How rude!

DH thinks I should play it more cool wil, yeah. Like dating. She does seen a bit shy so it might have been intimidating to be all 'oh, I'm not following you - isn't it weird we are both here' blahblahblahmaniclaugh. Oh dear!

The MIL issue, not fun mini. Do you have a relationship with her where you can say anything? Mine is a proper faffer and really got to me a few weeks ago so had to say something. It was a horrible conversation but she isn't calling\texting everyday now.

LaLaLaaaa · 16/04/2015 07:28

Ooh yes I meant to say that, sorry - it's different for different areas, so best just to call gp and find out. Thanks toast :)

Garlic in morning - nice!

Ah mini the old mil issue raises head again. Why won't they learn? I'm still laughing at mine when she came to visit and told me (with cats bum mouth) she'd felt the snuzpod mattress and 'poor wee thing having to sleep on that'. It was still in the cardboard box! That's the cardboard box you're feeling you daft bint!

My BFF did a naughty thing yesterday. She's normally so good at not bestowing advice etc on me. She hates people who do that and is my 'sane' person to go to about stuff.

She's just had her second who is a perfect example of an easy baby. She wakes, is changed, feeds sleeps. Ff from the start. She wanted to try bf her first but for some reason her milk didn't come in.

She asked me yesterday was I going to bf and said she'd feel bad if she didn't tell me how easy ff babies are and how easy it is to do, so I had both points of view. She recommended not bf to me as our good friend is currently stressing coz her 5 month old won't take bottle and she's got a job interview to go to. Apparently if she'd ff then this wouldn't be a problem. She said I should only bf if I 'feel passionate about it'

Oh dear. If she'd been on MN I'd have given her a Biscuit

I just said thank you but I am of mindset that I want to do what comes naturally to my body and that means at least having a try to bf my baby. If it then doesn't work out for some reason well that's that, but I want to have a go. I was a bit taken aback as now I kind if feel like she's made me feel I'm making a rod for my own back. But I'm going to do as you suggest wil and try to introduce bottles early on once a day.

Can someone (again, sorry I know you've done it before but I've forgotten!) recommend a bf book or parenting book with good bf section? I have kellymom.com already. I've realised I should really start reading up!

teejayem · 16/04/2015 07:30

No such thing as unreasonable Preggo lady mini 'specially where bloody MiL's are involved. I get a call/text after every hospital appointment for the gory details, so I've asked Mr tee to stop telling her when I go.
Magnums are also dirt cheap in Iceland at the moment, I've just demolished a box of the pink raspberry ones. must go and get more today.

Mr tee has a work colleague who's wife is 40weeks, and he's been giving Mr tee a running commentary of her sweeps, mucus plugs and God know what. He came in last night to say 'oh! And xxx's wife had her show today! Thought you might like to know!' (Never met the woman before)... Errrrm.... thanks?! Then I had to explain to him what it was and then said if he sat at work doing the same (ie discussing the state of my fucking cervix) then I was leaving him.
