Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 26th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oLJqpadAb2givKYq8OJfGCti3s6xzsTGlI-GoaBfM_M/edit?pli=1#gid=0

Thanks for the advice Fresh. I'm also an antique Smile

Zyla I like the vest idea and I have loads (use them for PJs)

Fattycow · 16/04/2015 13:11

I just came home from the midwife, as I was having a movement scare. All is good with baby, saw little one on the scan. Turns out s/he is managing to kick the thickest part of placenta and isn't putting much force behind it. Once s/he picks a different place to kick or puts more force behind it, I'll feel it again.
Relieved isn't even the word...

I bought these which meant no floppy bits were on show when I pulled up my tshirt. Can recommend.

freshstart4us · 16/04/2015 13:17

Fatty well done for going in so quickly and so glad all is well!

Fattycow · 16/04/2015 13:19

Baby was a bit quiet yesterday as well and nothing today, so I was worried. DH convinced me to call by saying he'd rather have me call 100 times for nothing than 1 time not calling when it could be serious. Good thing non-homone riddled men are a bit more rational sometimes!

Purpleball · 16/04/2015 13:22

Glad all ok Fatty, Fresh they look like a good idea

ZylaB · 16/04/2015 13:25

Fresh, I've used a bump band too! :)

freshstart4us · 16/04/2015 13:33

They're great right Zyla? As you say, there really isn't much boob on show, and you get the knack pretty quickly of getting your LO one and off. Covers do just seem to draw more attention.

couldntbebothered · 16/04/2015 13:45

Mini CS is Monday.

Agree re bf in public, you really can't see anything, the more you faff about with covers etc the more conspicuous you are, be brave Smile plus as someone said earlier, boob is magic cure all WinkWink

freshstart4us · 16/04/2015 13:53

Also on a purely selfish note, it helps the baby weight melt off. Was back to pre-pregnancy weight (although definitely not shape!) within a month, and I was eating all the cream cakes, pain au raisins, blueberry muffins, etc all the time. Grin

gaggiagirl · 16/04/2015 14:35

fresh have you thought of being a bf peer support volunteer? You would be really good at it. You have great enthusiasm for it.
And hell yeah to the weight loss! Bfing burns 500 extra calories a day and encourages your uterus to contract back to pre preg size faster.

ChatEnOeuf · 16/04/2015 14:41

Ah, p3 and I'm only just doing stats?! Rubbish.

Chat
Age: 33 (and a half, because don't we all count the months?)
Cooking: one cabbage (30+ I think, starting to lose count), owner of one cuddly tabby and one competitive-cuddly 3-and-a-half DD

Agree boobs cure all. Not just for tummies and ears, but gunky eyes, sore nips...the list is endless. But at the end of the day, I did it mostly because I'm a healthcare professional and I know it's best tight and lazy Grin. And babies heads cover most of the feeding evidence in public. I've only ever gone 'out of sight' to feed, and that was at an old folks home, because DH's Gramps felt weird about it, and he was going to die soon, so we didn't mind hiding just once. And it means you can eat cake every day, and not worry about the consequences. There's no hunger like BF hunger :)

DD actually slept quite well in her early weeks - cluster fed until midnight, but often then slept for five hours or so, which is a lovely stretch. I think she'd still eat all evening and go to bed at midnight given the choice. Her father's daughter, that one.

Glad everything's ok in there Fatty

Hope your MiL calms down Min, I dislike that 'hounded' feeling too.

freshstart4us · 16/04/2015 14:46

gaggia hadn't thought about it, but yes, I think I'd like that. Will see how I get on with this one, though - DD was a pretty easy baby, and I think it depends on the LO a lot as well.

Chat cake every day works in pregnancy too right? Cos we're growing humans, that's gotta take at LEAST 500 cal a day? Wink

rm00054 · 16/04/2015 14:54

I'm back!
I don't think I've posted since February, life kinda got in the way, sorry. I'm gonna try really hard to keep up with the thread this time, I've missed you lovely viroids!

Name: rm00054
Age: 25
DC: Incubating baby no.1, 30 weeks today Smile
Current activity: Feeling like I'm in the "alien" films as it feels like baby is trying to burst out through my ribcage!

Fattycow · 16/04/2015 15:03

fresh, of course we need cake everyday now as well. We have to build up a decent storage of fat before the baby is here and will drink it all away when breast feeding!

Fresh - totally. I'm a BFPS too - aiming to get IBCLC status this year/next as well. I trained through Sure Start.

teejayem · 16/04/2015 15:16

min! Sainsbury are doing Strawberry and white choice magnums for £4 for two boxes. Iceland didn't have any raspberry ones left and I almost broke down in the store next to a man who smelled like he hadn't washed for about thirty years. I must have looked on the brink as one of the assistants asked if I was okay (prob thought I was going to have baby in chicken dipper aisle). When I said all wobbly lipped that I couldn't see any raspberry magnums she said they'd run out yesterday. Normal, Rational, assertive Tee probably would have asked why they are still advertised in the window, but instead I whisper 'Okay' and walked out blinking away tears. I am a dick.

And now in amazingly ridiculous baby brain frenzy I have lost the lid for the pan I am trying to poach a chicken in tonight for shredding. It's the biggest pan we have and the pan and lid only fit in one cupboard in the house. I am worried I've buried it or something, I can't find the fucking thing anywhere.
I also came back without any of the small items I'd planned on getting from the high street, and now my back is killing me and the cats are annoyed because I forgot to get them food and we are have run out of milk.

I'm going to have a little lie down.

LaLaLaaaa · 16/04/2015 15:30

Hello!

Could - sooooo exciting!! Next week your wee one will be here!

Fresh I'm definitely going to give it a go. No one is deterring me from that idea.

Currently sat in maternity unit at hospital. Been having draggy pain in back and bump today so I phoned and they said to come in to be checked. Massive queue and the waiting room is full so I think we'll be here a while :(. Druggy looking couple in waiting room offered us a tiny part of their couch but I politely declined.

I think baby fine - lots of movement still. Bit quiet yesterday but fine today. I think maybe I've overdone it a bit

freshstart4us · 16/04/2015 15:39

Tee yes definitely time for a lie down. Lol. Not laughing at you, just love the lost pan lid thing. Grin And Brew for you.

La good you're getting checked, hope you're not kept waiting/worrying too long.

splodge77 · 16/04/2015 15:44

Argh I can't keep up. Late to da partay.

WilHarlot · 16/04/2015 15:54

Oh dear Tee, hope the rest of the day goes better for you.

From reading this thread, it strikes me how eager maternity units in other parts of the country are to see you if you have any sort of issue. You have to practically be in a life-threatening situation to get an EPU app here and if you phone up with reduced movement/pain they mostly give you advice over the phone. They hate telling you to go in for monitoring.

Had jabs today. I told them the first ones gave her diarrhoea. "No that won't be the vaccine" says the nurse. An hour and a half after having this lot and her bowels are exploding everywhere Envy .

Purpleball · 16/04/2015 16:04

Oh ffs Wil, hope she's ok

La I'm glad you're getting checked. I'm sure babyla is fine

I'm sulking now cos I don't have any ice lollies. I need to go buy mojito flavoured ones as it's the nearest I'll get to frozen cocktails this year

We usually have the Lidl mini magnums and solero type lollies in so I'll have to make a special trip

Purpleball · 16/04/2015 16:04

Tee send MrTee out when he gets in. Lollies is a mandatory requirement for growing a baby Smile

teejayem · 16/04/2015 16:22

Hope you're okay La good plan on getting checked xx

Oh that sounds like bollox wil. Exploding bum doesn't usually come out of nowhere does it?!

I'm asking him for a tub of Ben and jerry's raspberry and choc chunk fro yo purple - the little shop near us I think might be the only stockist in Essex and I am running perilously low. I also have another family sized lemon tart to dig my way through, so it's not a disaster. I just really wanted those magnums!

Still can't find saucepan lid. Have improvised with baking tray.

Toast85 · 16/04/2015 16:30

Aaahhh I wanted the raspberry magnums today but they were the only flavour not on offer so I got caramel instead. Haven't eaten one yet because I also bought a cinnamon bun AND a 4-pack of custard tarts. Fatty.

Day off work today and I've spent the whole blooming day on my feet- should really have been putting them up after complaining for the last I-don't-know-how-long about being exhausted.

But I have now finally got comfy trousers for work, comfy non-underwired bras, and treated myself to a summer dress with room for expanding bump and some flipflops. Also picked up a bargain of a cuddly winter suit for 0-3 months (baby coming in October). So cute!
Have finally put my feet up but really need to go tidy the mess I just made in the kitchen baking cookies.
