Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 26th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oLJqpadAb2givKYq8OJfGCti3s6xzsTGlI-GoaBfM_M/edit?pli=1#gid=0

Catching up!

Dulcet I used gaggias tip of bleach and bicarbonate on my bathroom grouting it worked like a dream, but had to wear a mask due to fumes.

I tried downloading squeezy app splodge but I need to upgrade my phone and I've got no space to do that. Stoopid iPhone.

Lists are good but terrifying! My hospital list had three things on it til now!

Fatty are you getting the same thing as me where you're suddenly bursting for wee but then you go and a dribble comes out? It's so dissatisfying!

Picked up car seat cabriofix and familyfix base yesterday. Halfords have both reduced, plus I got more off for ex display. I luffs a bargain! Cats are intrigued by the large boxes and are trying to climb inside - car seats going to be covered in hair!

I've got most of the essential sensible stuff now and so I can start buying the more fun stuff like animal outfits to dress baby in and elephant bath towels. my kid is going to hate me

I don't have to have GTT but got anti D clinic on Monday first thing.

I'm now 28+4 so just behind you dulcet Grin going to be lots of babies end of June/start of July.

Hooray for builders finishing fleur! I know how you feel about people thinking you're constantly at beck and call at work. I'm the only person who works on my particular animal groups and get loads of last minute or urgent requests for info that eat into my free time. Yesterday I was meant to have day off but I got woken up by someone with a question about a very special type of bird then had to have conference call with the team at that TV programme to select potential people to rehome the bird filmed in the programme. I've had an email from them asking my help today but I'm ignoring it!

Meanwhile I'm spending my weekend sifting the applicants for my mat cover as I don't get time to do it at work.

Tee I think the bumbo issue was people putting it on wrong surface or babies being put in too early who couldn't hold head up properly yet?
Boots is cheapest for both metanium and lansinoh I found.

LaLaLaaaa · 25/04/2015 08:52

Wil - fud! How I love that word!

Jcandy · 25/04/2015 09:14

Morning all! I got back from a 3 day conference with work yesterday and promptly fell asleep unfortunately I wasn't well there so now a load of people at work know! Confused Hopefully they'll keep it to themselves for a bit but who knows it could be everywhere by Monday. I'm 6+3 today so wasn't planning on that just yet! Can't believe I've known I'm pregnant for 3 weeks already!

la hopefully now you've spoken to him he'll realise he's being a bit of a dick. He doesn't seem to understand that you have feelings and needs too but sometimes they just need telling.

Got my fingers crossed it'd soon for you mini!

ewu and pud I feel exactly the same so I guess this is just normal! Dp is trying to help out bless him but I'm not sure he really believes how I feel!

Hobbit19 · 25/04/2015 09:35

I know what you mean JCandy, DP is lovely but I feel like the responsibility is all mine! We had 'five in a bed' this morning, me, DP, two cats and Christmas Pud. Was lovely Smile

DulcetMoans · 25/04/2015 09:46

That sounds so disappointing la, I would hate it to - looking forward to spending time together for him to ruin it. Do you think he understood after the tiff? I am sure it is hard with his job but the lifestyle needs to change in a couple of months anyway!

Sounding close mini! Race between you, splodge and common Kate then! I entered competition on her due date but can't remember what it was!

It is hard pud, you feel shit but can't tell anyone. Do you think you will last the two weeks until you see your Mum or tell her first?

Reflux and heartburn here too but not quite on the gavisgon yet, I just moan about it all night instead as reenies take too long to work. No haemorrhoids yet though so... Winner?

WilHarlot · 25/04/2015 09:54

They can overbalance on a bumbo so obviously dangerous if on a high surface but also not great on a hard floor either. I have seen kids do it. But if you don't leave them unattended in it it's not really a massive issue.

The thing about the baking soda - it works great but takes forever scrubbing with a toothbrush.

Hope all you first trimesterers feel better soon.

Purpleball · 25/04/2015 10:06

Morning viroids. JC I told more people than I'd planned because I felt rough and was excited - still am. I tell every client I visit - there's no need to but I do.

La I hope DH has got the message. And I like fud too Wil

Hope things settle down for the newbies. I still get odd bouts of nausea but nowhere near as much. This week saw movement being felt Smile and heartburn appearing Hmm

Feeling a bit anxious about the heart scan on Friday. I'm less worried the pregnancy will go wrong now I can feel the baby. But I'm terrified there will be something wrong with it

Min, hope you're ok. Look forward to pics and birth stories Smile

Could if you're in the facebook group you can share with just us

Purpleball · 25/04/2015 10:07

I got mould removed from Lakeland, it's like a bleach gel that you paint on, does the job quickly. Never thought of making a paste. It's DHs job now - I'm too pregnant Smile

Hobbit19 · 25/04/2015 10:16

Hee hee yes Purple, DP has taken over bathroom cleaning duties as he doesn't want me near the chemicals - winner! I am still waiting for him to actually clean the bathroom though....

Dulcet, high five for not having piles! I'm hoping I can keep it together enough not to tell Mum until I see her in two weeks, will be nice to have a hug when I tell them. My Dad is going to wet himself with excitement too. My real concern is that it will go wrong between now and then and they won't have had a chance to be excited about it iyswim? Decided to think positive though Smile

ChatEnOeuf · 25/04/2015 10:27

Epic catch-up...

Fleur glad the builders are gone!

Yay for free prescriptions - especially when you're drinking litres of Gaviscon :)

La I would be pissed off with that as well. He needs to man up a bit.

Pompoms are dusted ready for you MiniMini

Bumbos are safe if you use them properly. They aren't childminders.

Spent much of yesterday in hospital - protein in my wee, BP up and those puffy ankles that I'd been blaming on the hot weather became puffy shins. There is no way that should be a thing. Long afternoon short - baby fine, bloods fine, BP back down, no shoes fit Angry. Watch like hawk for next few weeks. Sits in the back of my mind that I was born at 34 weeks because of exactly these issues in my mum.

I should probably get that hospital bag packed...I'm not joining that end-of-July party I hope

LaLaLaaaa · 25/04/2015 10:32

Get those feet up chat - and tell indestructabean to firmly stay put.

Purple try not to worry you're past the worst bit. Yay for movement!

I'm getting impatient now, 11 weeks to go...

WilHarlot · 25/04/2015 10:39

Ooh Chat hope all is ok. Is it a little bit worse having all the knowledge you have? Sometimes I think ignorance is bliss.

Fleurchamp · 25/04/2015 11:18

Hi viroids!

Is it bad that I forgot to hand in my form for the free prescriptions? Should do it now I guess if I can get free stuff (although I can't see my dr or midwife prescribing anything).

I am almost 28 weeks and, dare I say it, feeling really good. Touchwood this feeling lasts. I am not yet impatient, more panicky about everything that I need to buy and do in the next 12 weeks.

How annoying about your DH la I hope the row has made him see sense.

chat GX indestructabean stays put for the duration. I was born at 34 weeks too and it is constantly in my mind that this one will be early but my mum had other issues.... We shall see.

Off to a baby shower and then a birthday party today. I have no baby shower gift yet and am still slobbing around in my leggings. Must move my arse.

KatoPotato · 25/04/2015 11:21

12 days to go...

Purpleball · 25/04/2015 11:48

Oooh Kato, that's exciting. How are you feeling?

Chat, glad all ok with indestructabean. Take it easy and put your feet up - well as much as DD lets you

minimooo · 25/04/2015 12:25

Morning! Thanks for all the lovely messages viroids! Still no signs of minimini yet, but hopefully she won't be too long... bounces on ball vigorously

la that is mega frustrating about the evening off. I would have felt really let down by dh if he did that. I would also be upset by the drinking. Do you think he will snap out of it once baby arrives? Boo to work overtime too! Must be hard not to get sucked into it though, when there's animals involved. I hope that bird gets a lovely new home. Your job sounds totally awesome! (though not the overtime bit obviously) I really wish I'd gone down the line of working with animals. One of my regrets.

Yay for builders finishing fleur! Must be a huge relief.

ooo, that's really encouraging pixie! I'm struggling to see light at the end of the tunnel at the moment. Just keep saying to myself that baby will arrive when she's ready!

Goodness chat, what a worry. Glad they were on it with the investigations straight away. Take care of yourself and put your feet up as much as you can Flowers

Exciting times kato. How are feeling about it all? Got everything ready?

Hope you're doing ok splodge? Any signs of anything happening?

We're getting the carpet laid in the nursery today. Then I can do the nice stuff like buying blinds and rugs and stuff Grin

Fattycow · 25/04/2015 14:31

la, yes on the dribble of wee!

I am also retaining loads of water... My rings will need to come of soon and most shoes don't fit...

WilHarlot · 25/04/2015 14:36

I agree Mini, periody pains usually signal the start of something. Very exciting.

La remember I thought I had a wee infection whilst pg because I needed all the time but nothing came out? Must be baby leaning on your bladder or something.

townsender · 25/04/2015 18:25

Hello folks!

Just checking in to say all is well with me, but I'm going to duck out of this thread and become a 'lurker' rather than on the list. I've not been on MN for ages - I spend all day at work in front of a computer and just feel less inclined to do it at home, especially now the weather's a bit nicer, and people in RL know I'm preggers, it's all got a lot easier.

Bump is doing really well, and I'm getting lots of monitoring which is helping keep me sane.

Good luck to all of you

teejayem · 25/04/2015 18:35

awww, hope you don't have to wait too long mini ditto splodge. It's a baby boom!

chat eeek! get those ankles up woman, and make MrChat give you a foot rub. And no excitement!

la - add my SO to the shitlist, he also just doesn't 'get' how upsetting it is when he uses his weekends to swan off doing other stuff leaving me on my tod. He's done it today, and will be doing the same tomorrow, and he knows I'm pissed because he's just called to be picked up, and offered me a Nandos. I've declined out of principle, (Although I'd quite like a nandos), and I was a bit shitty on the phone. If he comes in and and plugs himself into the xbox I am going to hit the fucking roof. Was walking around tesco earlier with a bloody great trolley of shopping and got in state because it makes me feel like I'm doing all this on my own when he behaves that way. I actually think I saw more of him before I finished work.

My hospital bag is looking full and plumptious, went and got another stash of water wipes, metatium and Lansioh. Just nursing bras now, and then I am done.

fleur I really enjoyed 25-30 weeks, I looked reasonably upduffed, but felt really good. Make the most of it! (Although fx you stay feeling fab)

Not sure if I have piles or not dulcet so I won't high five you. I don't have any external ones, although I did bleed quite a bit when constipated a few weeks back, but that seems to be okay now.

RPopz · 25/04/2015 19:26

Think the thing about Bumbos is that they don't hold their hips in the proper froggy M shape. And the douchebags who put them on high surfaces without supervising.... Not a massive issue as long as they don't sit in them all day long I don't think. I want to get a little tray for ours and then I think I'd use it more.

Get bouncing mini - hope you don't have long to wait!

Glad all is well chat - that bean is determined to keep you guessing!

Sorry about the crappy menfolk ladies. Thanks

RPopz · 25/04/2015 19:26

Oh and you too splodge!

DulcetMoans · 25/04/2015 19:51

Loving the positivity about haemorrhoids! Or lack of. I'll take a high five. Obviously jinxed it now.

Sounding like a stress chat, hope you're being looked after at home. Keep relaxed but yeah, maybe start getting a bag together!

I didn't send of for my exemption card until a couple weeks ago fleur so you can still do it.

Think positive pud! I understand wanting to be there for the reaction but you might want to tell then if something went wrong anyway so don't yet that put you off. But positivity, it won't come to that anyway!

I am with the unsatisfactory wee crew! I go about every 20minutes now but it's so tiny. If it's at work I worry about going in with other people in case they think I'm slacking off in there!

Glad you're ok town, pop in when you can to update!

ethelfleda · 25/04/2015 19:52

Hello! I have just come over from the JS thread in the conception forum - got my BFP today and kind of freaked! So hi and great to meet ya!

splodge77 · 25/04/2015 20:15

Yey welcome Ethel! to much talk of piles, unsatisfying wees, crusty boobs and twangy wombles. Nothing happening in minisplodgeland. Gonna rig up & test my tens machine tonight though. Hope I don't fry myself!
