Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 26th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oLJqpadAb2givKYq8OJfGCti3s6xzsTGlI-GoaBfM_M/edit?pli=1#gid=0

teejayem · 24/04/2015 18:18

Good god. That was painful!!!! I feel like there's been a blowtorch in my knickers. Maybe the 38 week wax is a little too ambitious....

It does feel better in a de-fluffed sense, but jesus christ, they weren't kidding when they said it hurts more when you're upduffed, and I'm no stranger to waxing pain.

And (TMI warning, sorry) - Upon getting home I thought I'd inspect the area with the a mirror, and the skin has gone very dark all around the general foof area. (It has under my arms as well) Also it just seemed, well, BIGGER than normal. Blush. I'm sure it (as in different foof 'components' ) were a bit more compact the last time I could see it...!? I've not even pushed a baby out yet, am I destined to have a fanjo like a 10p bag for life after this? (And yes I'm doing LOTS of PF exercises...) will this make any difference, or is it like trying to tighten a windsock? I feel depressed. I wish I could have a gin. :( I might order a pizza for tea.

On a small upside, I got a Bumbo at the asda baby event for £20. I didn't realize they divided opinion so much, my nephew loved his. I don't mind spending £20 tho, would be a bit miffed if I'd have shelled out for it full price and then read all the horror stories. Didn't see very much else I wanted in asda; I'm keeping nappy buying to a minimum (we have x2 big newborn pampers to start) because I don't know if I'll like the smell or if he'll fit on them, and the water wipes are on a good offer in boots.(3 for £5). The only thing I'm looking for a good offer on now is nip cream (Lanisoh or whatever it is) and Mr Tee wants some metanium for his man-changing bag. (don't ask, he's insisted on having his own set of baby toiletries for this bloody bag....)

Pisghetti · 24/04/2015 19:57

Lansinoh is 1/3rd off in Boots at the moment.i think it's just some extra blood flow to the area Tee fear not :-)

gaggiagirl · 24/04/2015 20:00

tee hang fire on the lanisoh (?) nip cream. Its FREE on prescription from your midwife. I got given 2 sample sachets of it from the midwife before birth then got a script for a full tube. To be honest the sachets would have lasted me as I had no cracking issues. I used the cream.on dry skin on my elbows in the end.

PixieChops · 24/04/2015 20:38

No way I didn't know you could get nipple cream on prescription!
Fleur glad the builder shave pissed off and hope you're happy with the work they've done.
Tee you're a braver woman than I, I cried when I had my eyebrows threaded, I then had my top lip threaded too, worst pain in my life. Never had a fanny wax, I just shave it all off.
I'm nearly 32 weeks or 33...I've lost count, anyway I'm due on the 24th June so hopefully I'll have had my baby before the full moon in July! Otherwise I'll probably give myself a c- section.
In my hotel room now on my mystic meg (mediumship) course which starts tomorrow. My OH pisses me off but god I miss him when he's not with me. He's kept me updated with DD's adventures though since I've left. Last time I left OH and DD for a weekend I came back and she was saying Dada! Fingers crossed she'll be fully walking when I get back this time. She's doing more and more now, still only a few steps at a time before she realises what she's doing and sits down.

honeysucklejasmine · 24/04/2015 20:46

delurks But Ga, surely only free if you live in Scotland or Wales? Unlike us mugs who have to pay for it? I'm storing up all your factoids for future use

gaggiagirl · 24/04/2015 20:57

honey preggers women are exempt from.paying for prescriptions and dental treatment in England. The exemption certificate lasts until baby is one. I've been to the dentists twice with mine already!

gaggiagirl · 24/04/2015 21:00

Ooh and Gaviscon! Free 500ml bottles of the stuff! Yummmmmmmmm!

honeysucklejasmine · 24/04/2015 21:13

D'oh! Can I claim non existent baby brain?!

teejayem · 24/04/2015 21:24

That's interesting gaggia - I'll ask the MW when I see her next week, at the moment pis is spot on with the best deal currently in boots......

Mr Tee thinks he's getting lucky tonight. Not a fucking hope!

gaggiagirl · 24/04/2015 21:28

Mr g isn't getting anything either tonight. I cant trust my pelvic floor.

Pisghetti · 24/04/2015 21:29

I did not know you could get it on prescription! Baby B was flakier than an Eccles cake but her complexion became silky and gorgeous when I started on the lansinoh. Good lip balm too - although you have to use a tiny bit otherwise you look like you've been sucking on one of those spinny kebab things.

Great news on the builders Fleur!

Anyone heard from mini......?

gaggiagirl · 24/04/2015 21:39

I'll have anything on prescription! My thrifty preggo friend told me to ask for it. This was almost 4 years ago now but I presume its still on script.

Hobbit19 · 24/04/2015 21:44

Oh tee, your poor fanjo. I had a foof wax once at uni to impress my new bf. Did not let him near it for a week, so painful!!! Quite like having my legs done but can't be doing with the regrowth.

Feeling a bit wobbly today Viroids. I think I'm a bit sad that I haven't told my Mum get. My parents are coming to visit in two weeks and it will be awesome to see their faces when we tell them, but it is also really hard not to talk to her about it. I am finding the womble stretching really quite painful too and worried that I am going to struggle my way through pregnancy. I am already knackered, queasy, in pain and have f'ing piles. I am 5 f'ing weeks pregnant, this does not justify such uncomfortable symptoms! There are a few other pregnant ladies at work and they seem to be swimming along just fine. Meh. I am normally fit and healthy and happy, I can't be feeling like this due to hormones already surely?? Think I might start a pregnancy diary so I can record my thoughts. Sorry for being a ridiculous whinger, I need a slap!

Purpleball · 24/04/2015 21:54

It's all normal Pud. Things do settle down somewhat. Most of us got piles. We're all full of hormones. I cry at the drop of a hat or a fecking advert
You'll get used to it all and you'll be fine Smile

Heartburn is my latest thing Hmm orange rennies are my new friend.
hate gaviscon

deeplybaffled · 24/04/2015 22:35

Don't worry, pud. They probably think that you are swimming along just fine too. Is it it 5 weeks since you found out or in total?
the Queasiness will hopefully settle before too much longer, and the tiredness can come in waves, so it definitely isn't the case that how you feel now is how you'll feel all the way through.
so don't beat yourself up. Treat yourself to something nice and it will get better, honest. Brew CakeFlowers

minimooo · 25/04/2015 00:25

Hi viroids, just checking in briefly. Busy day today. Midwife said baby is still not engaged but she is in a better position (her back to my left side rather than back to back).
I woke up at 4am this morning with period pains and backache but it all tailed off an hour later. Feels like it's gearing up slowly. I also had a boob leak of epic proportions, thought I'd dribbled all over myself at first Shock Not sure if finding out it was boob juice was more or less traumatic than thinking it was dribble.

Sorry for me me post, haven't caught up with thread. Will catch up in the morning. Have good sleeps everyone!

LaLaLaaaa · 25/04/2015 02:22

tucks pom poms under arms in readiness and gives a little squeal of excitement

Busy day yesterday just caught up and will post in morning. Very pissed off I added gaviscon to shopping delivery before reading! Will get on prescription next time nice tip gaggia thanks!

splodge77 · 25/04/2015 03:20

Ugh why am I awake?! But Yey minimoo, that's exciting, hope baby makes an appearance soon!! One of us has to beat princess Katy to it!!
Heartburn annoying me too la, only get it at night but it's yucky Xx

PixieChops · 25/04/2015 05:52

I'm with you on the heartburn front Splodge, only bloody comes on at night! I hate it with a passion. I have gaviscon tablets whilst I'm away because I left my giant bottle at home like an idiot. Never had the tarts before so hopefully they'll be just as good as the liquid. The liquid relieves it instantly for me.
Moo that sounds promising! Hopefully your bundle will be here very shortly, I had an epic boob leak a couple of nights before I went into labour. So fingers crossed you're nearing the end.
Pud that's all completely normal but I absolutely promise you'll start feeling better in a few weeks. I was exactly the same as you at 5 weeks, I was exhausted, felt like I looked disgusting (I looked no different) had piles the size of space hoppers (still do but anusol and lactulose is my friend) I was grumpy, irritable and completely unapproachable. All I wanted to do was curl up and lie in bed until I felt better but couldn't as I had a 6 month old at the time. You have my every sympathy. In all honesty I've never liked being pregnant. I know it's a wonderful thing that my body can bear children as so many women cannot but my god whoever says they enjoy it all the time needs their head feeling!
DD before she was born would get hiccups every day sometimes up to 5 times a day, morning, noon and night from about 18 weeks. No respite until the day I gave birth! She was head down from very early on so think that didn't help. I had her arse stuck in my ribs (you could see it) for about 12 weeks, kept trying to push it down but she was having none of it and is have relief for all of 5 mins and she's move back. DS is a bit better but my god he's got a hard kick! Not good when he's kicking me near the battered PF! Pregnancy is undignified, it's messy and it feels like forever, but it's so worth it. Just plaster a smile on pud and brave it the best you can, then come on here and tell us your woes because we'll be right with you x

PixieChops · 25/04/2015 05:53

Tarts- tablets!
And apologies for the epic post viroids

Hobbit19 · 25/04/2015 06:08

Ah thanks lovely ladies, very glad it is
'normal' to feel like this. And very glad I found the Viroids, this would be a lonely process without you all! Deeply I'm 5 weeks in total (well5-6).
Excited for the flurry of new babies!!!

Ewuakua · 25/04/2015 07:32

Well nausea kicked in for me yesterday at exactly 5weeks just in time for "cocktails" and dinner with friends I havent seen for ages. Currently quivering on the sofa with water and crackers. Is it normal for your head to feel so tired you feel dizzy?

pud hopefully being able to relax over the weekend will make you feel better. I really want to tell my mum too!

moo im feeling very excited for you!

splodge77 · 25/04/2015 08:20

Love the idea of gaviscon tarts! Ha ha. What a Pixie said pud. Early preg can be grim. I had a really hard time with sickness & feeling down but the lovely viroids will get you thru. It's double hard coz u can't get much sympathy in RL because you don't want to tell many peeps that early. Hang on in there. How you doing mini moo? Exciting!!

LaLaLaaaa · 25/04/2015 08:23

Morning! Ewa and pud yes completely normal! I spent 7.5-15 weeks lying on couch feeling like I had the worst hangover on earth. I was never actually sick, the feeling would just sit in my throat and stomach. I had no energy and felt horrendous. At night I couldn't breathe (rhinitis) so I didn't sleep and I had the womble pains you're describing pud. Very unnerving but normal. My mum always said it was baby settling down for the long haul which I liked the sound of. It's your uterus stretching.

Splodge and pixie - mine is more reflux at night, I lie down and the acid starts to come up. Yuck! Hoping gaviscon helps to settle things a bit.

Mini I really hope you get to meet your LO in the next few days Grin

We've not heard from MrsNM since she joined us in jan so we might not find out when she has baby, but catsofa is on Facebook page.

I had huge Barney with dh yesterday. He had promised weeks ago he'd take last night off and we'd have a nice night out. Well, he didn't. He also slept til 12 and then was throwing up with hangover, so his protests of 'but we can have a nice day today before I go to work' were met with a glare and 'fuck right off'. We ended up going for a rushed late lunch before meeting the friends id arranged for us to have a drink with before he then went to work. He really doesn't get how much I look forward to seeing him when he says he'll take night off and so how disappointing it is when he cancels. We don't get to have 'normal' fri sat night social life because of his work so it's a treat I look forward to when he promises it.

I told him I'm sick of going to everything by myself and that this marriage isn't going to survive if he doesn't learn to keep his promises. Also that he needs to grow up and stop drinking so much that he's sick the next morning.

I had nice time with friends though. They are all very excited and interested in the baby as I'm the first in my work gang to have one.

Today will be a lazy day and I'm helping my friend collect her rescue foster pony later from the animal centre Grin he's only about 2 and going to join her herd for 6 months so he can have some training and grow up a bit before going back to the centre to be rehomed. It's one of the schemes I help with so I'm excited she's signed up for it.

Going to read back through now!

WilHarlot · 25/04/2015 08:41

Gaviscon tarts - amazing!

The horse scheme sounds great La, but Mr La sounds like he's being a fud. Drinking until you're sick regularly at our age is a bit OTT.

Pretty sure we wouldn't get lansinoh on prescription except maybe if we were on benefits.
