Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 26th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oLJqpadAb2givKYq8OJfGCti3s6xzsTGlI-GoaBfM_M/edit?pli=1#gid=0

There's another Angelcare one from 2012 that is a best buy, it's an A1120. That's the only one. They are disappointing for baby monitors

I've just had a really violent dream, I was trying to kill bad guys who wouldn't die. I don't do video games or violent tv/films. I don't know where it's come from Sad

couldntbebothered · 22/04/2015 07:52

Thanks for all the messages viroids. We are home now, a bit sore but otherwise fine and baby is lovely, feeding well and very cuddly. ELCS was fine, nerve wracking walking into theatre and emotional but all calm and the staff were great. Smile

Fleurchamp · 22/04/2015 07:52

Morning viroids!

Bad night's sleep here. Spoke to DH on FaceTime last night to go through the work (or lack of it) and he got mad at me telling me "I need to be in top of them and challenge them every morning and night". Although I work locally, it is a demanding full time job - I can't just down tools and go home. As it is I am late every morning to let the builders in.

I cried and now I am so furious with both the builders and DH. A four week job is heading into a 6th week with no discernible end. I am so fed up.

DulcetMoans · 22/04/2015 08:01

Glad you're home could!

That's not fair fleur, you can't just be there all day to watch over them. They should want to get it done and finished anyway - move onto the next job!

You always have the best things to eat tee, is it possible to have food envy without being able to see the food?

Why didn't he ask you to move pixie?! Sounds like he didn't really think it through.

Glad your SIL is safe la. What a stress! Guess you won't know for a couple of weeks whether it's temporary or not.

I did my filming yesterday with the student midwives. They palpated me a lot to get all the shoots of hands and stuff - had a sore bump afterwards and baby rebelled. Was lovely though, they told me what way round baby was and we listened to heartbeat. Smile

mountaingirl01 · 22/04/2015 08:06

tee I mean this in the nicest possible way.. how are you so small when you eat such crap?! (When I say small I mean that under the obvious baby bit you are obviously slender if that makes sense)

KatoPotato · 22/04/2015 08:12

La, we will be reusing ds1's ac401. It was brilliant and never let us down? There's a little visual metronome you can see the breathing on, and you can set the noise sensitivity etc

Found it here for £74 Too www.direct2mum.co.uk/Products/4787/ac401-movement-sound-baby-monitor?gclid=CJXxq8qticUCFYrJtAodRXkAHA

KatoPotato · 22/04/2015 08:14

It would have been 'top
Of the range' in 2010, and with video there's nothing else you'd want it to do?

Purpleball · 22/04/2015 08:51

I was wondering that too Tee, how do you eat all that?

LaLaLaaaa · 22/04/2015 09:18

Excellent thanks kato - will take your recommendation and run with it! I'll buy it today Smile

Hooray could! Enjoy all the cuddles!!

Fleur that's crap - he sounds like my dh who always expects me to 'deal' with people who aren't doing what we pay them to coz he's so easy going and would never do it. It's exhausting. I really hope they get finished soon so you can have some peace

KatoPotato · 22/04/2015 09:21

*with the exception of video I mean!

You do need to remember to switch it off before you lift your wee one out, or of course it'll be sirens and klaxons! But that that was always actually a little reassuring!

Fleurchamp · 22/04/2015 09:37

Ooh thanks for monitor chat. I really want one with video. Our house is tall and narrow, if the little one does ever nap in his/her cot during the day it will be a godsend to be able to check the screen rather than go up all he stairs.

Builders suitably rebuked and only half an hour late to work and my motivation is such that I am mmetting rather than working

gaggiagirl · 22/04/2015 09:37

could can we see photos? What did you call her? I'm so thrilled for you.

fleur I bet you will celebrate when the job is complete!

dulcet you are a celeb now!

Purpleball · 22/04/2015 09:45

I'm struggling to find the right monitor. I want a video one that works on wifi so I can see if I'm away with work, it needs to be iPhone or iPad compatible.

I also want a movement sensor with an alarm if they stop breathing when they are tiny because of the higher risks associate with diabetes.

WilHarlot · 22/04/2015 09:54

Think you may have to buy two Purple.

Yes Could, names and photos!

I'm with Tee, I could easily eat that. I eat shit all day long and will probably die from a heart attack at a young age - not being flippant, it's in the family. My mission is to go on a health kick when I start weaning.

ZylaB · 22/04/2015 09:54

H is 10 weeks old and our monitor is still in the box Grin we've always been in the room with her, so don't fret about getting one before the birth if you can't decide!

teejayem · 22/04/2015 10:05

No idea how it fits. I really struggled to eat anything first trim bar bovril on toast and hula hoops, I think I've conditioned myself to eat something if I fancy it immediately just in case I start feeling sick :-/. I'm not that small, was a generous size 12 pre preg, (and I've put on plenty round my bum and thighs that I disguise well with my long skirts and things!!) I think giving up wine has has helped counterbalanced the crap eating, I probably drank too much before being upduffed, and empty wine calories are killer. I just think the last couple of weeks bump is on a growth spurt and I'm craving absolute crap- sugar, dairy etc. it wouldn't surprise me if I go back to carrot sticks and hummus. I do try and eat reasonably good meals, I just struggle with eating a whole dinner now, there just isn't the space to digest it, so I snack furiously instead.the apple pie last night was probably an exception Shock it's so frustrating being hungry and then not wanting to eat as soon as it's put in front of you.

teejayem · 22/04/2015 10:25

I'm really sorry if my food escapades are coming across as stealth boasting, it absolutely isn't, given the discussion we had earlier in the week about putting weight on I realise that it might come across like that. I promise that wasn't my intention. I'm really sorry if it's been perceived that way. Confused

DulcetMoans · 22/04/2015 10:34

haha. Not boasting tee! I think we all know pregnancy diet isn't fully representative of pre-pregnancy diet.

I had to change my pants yesterday as they were too tight. That was a sad day.

If you ask them how much longer will they be doing it what do they say fleur?

I will let you know when the premiere is gaggia!

Fleurchamp · 22/04/2015 10:42

dulcet they just keep saying the end of the week but there is LOADS left to do - rewiring work included, which has to be done before the decorating Confused

My eating habits are also bizarre. Some days I cannot stop eating and others I don't eat much at all (these days are rare!). I do find I can eat during the day but can only eat a small meal at night.

DH did a batch cook at the weekend to see me through the week as he doesn't trust me not to just snack when he isn't here!

I may have had a hot chocolate and a pastry this morning Grin I NEVER would usually. But hey, food is currently my only pleasure Hmm

DulcetMoans · 22/04/2015 10:49

I complete agree with that fleur! I struggle to eat in the evening but can just keep going in the day most days. Not sure why.

Interesting stat for you all - I had to send a copy of my MATB1 form to Silverstone to cancel F1 tickets I got DH for his 30th birthday. They processed it in 2 days. My HR department on the other hand... gave it to them two weeks ago and still nothing, and I have chased them once!

WilHarlot · 22/04/2015 10:49

Can I have your autograph Dulcet? Wink

Tee, didn't come across like that at all and it would be a weird thing to boast about anyway, we're all just made differently. Surely eating loads of less than healthy food isn't something people want to emulate? But obviously I'm also apologising if I came across like that too. I was more worried you were going to feel bad about everyone saying you were eating a lot so was trying to offer some solidarity with my sugar guzzling escapades!

gaggiagirl · 22/04/2015 10:54

tee not stealth boasting at all! I admire your abilities actually. I ate like that in the first trimester. This trimester I reckon I'm back to eating normally although I'm sure that will change.

LaLaLaaaa · 22/04/2015 11:09

Tee I'm just very jealous!!! No stealth boasting coming across, don't worry!

I ate a packet of American hard gums before breakfast Blush. This baby loves sweet stuff!!

Just told my manager in meeting he needs to make most of me as baby could come early. He went pale. Think they are starting to realise I'm not going to be here in a few months. My workload is insane - I look after a whole heap of species no one else has expertise in, so they are going to struggle if I don't find right replacement.

Dulcet - you star!!

My macaw is on the TV programme tonight, you should watch it! I've done all the background work for him but I'm not on the show. He's a wee sweetie but has issues and is a bit of a grump as a result - just like me!

Purple is it worth asking your diabetes clinic for advice on monitors? They will surely know which are advised. The angelcare ac1100 has sound, movement and video but I don't know about iPhone bit. Is that essential?

Fleur - nice job! Hope they finish soon.

Could - I would love to see pics!!

Fleurchamp · 22/04/2015 11:20

I like the look of the angelcare ac1100 but am a bit Shock at the price. Gadgets are DH's department.

Maybe I am having a boy? I am all about the sweet stuff

Purpleball · 22/04/2015 11:31

Tee we are all just jealous Smile

I'm mostly eating as normal, pretty healthy low GI. Can't do much sugar for diabetes, no alcohol, low caffeine. About the only pleasure in life is cheese and the odd McDonald's chicken nugget and fries meal.
I've been having a biscuit if my sugars get low but only a small one (individual biscoff anyone?)

Bloody car needs 2 tyres, they are £100 each Hmm

Glad I don't have to get involved in recruiting mat cover. They haven't done it yet and it's 3 months training minimum!
