Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 26th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oLJqpadAb2givKYq8OJfGCti3s6xzsTGlI-GoaBfM_M/edit?pli=1#gid=0

Eek pud you're feeling queasy already? I seem ok so far, just very slow digestion so feel like I'm stuffing food into a full stomach even though I feel hungry. Im sure morning sickness will hit me hard when it happens because it takes very little to make me feel vommy normally. Ive already ordered sick bags online.Confused

Congrats could !!

Purpleball · 21/04/2015 13:13

Oooh congrats Could Smile look forward to hearing all about it

Tee I wouldn't be happy about it. Can someone else go? Has he spoken with anyone about it?

Years ago I did Costco with my mum. We got a card each and split the £30.

I've had such a stressful morning that I want signing off sick. I went in the customers toilets for a cry. It's not good. One of my bosses is being an arse. I know she's stressed but it's not my fault and she's making my job difficult Confused
Ill be fine later. I'm just cross and frustrated

freshstart4us · 21/04/2015 13:19

Dulcet OMG I didn't know you could play Scrabble on your phone - how awesome is that? slinks geekily into the corner to discover my new addiction

While I feel for those of you with OHs travelling/working around your due date, and I DEFINITELY wanted/want mine close to home and on hand for the delivery itself, if it's any consolation I sent him back to work when DD was 3 days old, he was just getting underfoot. Wink If you're in reasonable shape after your LO arrives you may just want quiet time to demand feed and nap/rest when they do.

minimooo · 21/04/2015 13:48

Afternoon viroids! Been awol for a few days - busy trying to the get the house sorted before our new arrival. Dh has almost finished painting the nursery now, and the carpet should be laid this week.

Re the work chat: I'm self-employed (freelance, but currently on mat leave) and will probably go back at the end of the year (so when lo is about 8-9 months old) but it's working from home so not too bad.
Me and dh run our own business as well - we currently work at it 6 days a week. We've decided to take 2 weeks off after lo arrives, but it won't be "off" off, because we'll still be managing our staff member each day and scheduling bookings, invoicing, running payroll etc. It's our main source of income so it needs to continue to run at maximum capacity. My bit is all working from home though, so I'm hoping it will be OK to work around baby...I might be being wildly optimistic here Hmm

Hope all went ok with the builders fleur and that they're almost finished.

Huge congrats could! Hope to hear all about it (and see some pics) soon Smile

tee I wouldn't be happy with that either. I've gotten embarrassingly clingy a little bit needy towards the end of pregnancy and can't bear the thought of dh being away overnight.

Costco sounds awesome. We don't have one local, but we have a Makro - similar type of shop I think? I might have to look into getting a card.

Due date on Friday! Come on baby, we want to meet you! Grin

freshstart4us · 21/04/2015 14:09

Ah purple so sorry to hear you're having a s**t time at work! NOT what you need, at all, at this point. Definitely have yourself signed off sick, yours and your baby's health are more important than your boss's ridiculous demands, to state things very mildly.

LaLaLaaaa · 21/04/2015 14:21

Dramatic day in La land. Sil (the one who recently had mc) has left fiancé. He's raging and trying to kick her out of house so she's now locked herself in house, giving her enough time to pack.

Will update later...

PixieChops · 21/04/2015 14:57

Oh god Lala how come they're splitting up?! Does not sound good, hopefully it'll get sorted.

Fleurchamp · 21/04/2015 15:22

Blimey la how awful!

ChatEnOeuf · 21/04/2015 16:01

Ooh, La, that's not good Sad

Tee, definitely within your pregnant rights to be a bit Hmm, however one look at my DH's planned May/June travel might have you thinking a week away isn't so bad...! He's not taking his pat leave until July/Aug as May and June are so mad - I did ask if he could refrain from travelling around my due date, but given that DD arrived at 37 weeks, that could easily be 6 weeks of him not doing his job properly. So I have a rota of grandparents coming to help, and a list of people who say middle-of-the-night phone calls to come look after DD are fine for when the GPs aren't around. From recollection there's a three-day window at the start of June that would be ideal for delivery. Because you can totally plan these things Hmm

Fleur my first labour was less than six hours from first niggle to the birth. I was 9cms when I arrived at the hospital, fully expecting to be sent away Blush

WilHarlot · 21/04/2015 16:15

Jeez Chat I wouldn't be happy about that. MrWil doesn't travel with work but I think after 38 weeks I'd want him around if he did.

Oh no La! Is it a mc reaction or more issues at play?

minimooo · 21/04/2015 17:32

Oh dear, la! That doesn't sound good Sad

Blimey chat, sounds like your dh will be away quite a bit. At least you've got other people in place and grandparents at the ready too, thank goodness. Not the same as having dh around though I'm sure.

purple that sounds awful. and Flowers

Hobbit19 · 21/04/2015 18:31

Oh Purple, that sounds rubbish. crying in the toilets is never a sign of a good day definitely been there.

La, Eep!

Ewu, have felt mildly queasy for about a week and felt really quite sick yesterday. I think I am maybe 5 weeks tomorrow (as opposed to Fri ) but could be more upduffed, who knows? Long cycles = hard to work out ov date. I don't feel sick today at all though (which is massively freaking me out), is that normal Viroids? I thought it would just get worse and worse? ?

batfish · 21/04/2015 18:37

Oh no la that is drama indeed! Hopefully just the stress of the mc situation and they will work it out.

I've finally got a pregnancy symptom! But it's bloody heartburn! Never had it before in my life and had it a lot today, it's awful!

batfish · 21/04/2015 18:38

Aww purple you poor thing, big hugs

mountaingirl01 · 21/04/2015 18:52

Blimey la that's a bit dramatic !

pud completely normal for sickness to come and go, it will probably pop back up just as you sit down to dinner

What's your secret chat?!

DulcetMoans · 21/04/2015 19:02

Oh no la, very dramatic! Think it's permanent or just a tiff?

Can you have a bit of a break purple? No good being stressed unnecessarily. If you can have a break (without drs note) then do. Don't know about getting a sick note, how would it work with pregnancy sickness?

I should never have said it fresh! You'll be dragged in for weeks now!

Due date week - eek mini. I hope you are feeling ready!

Hobbit19 · 21/04/2015 19:21

Phew. Thanks Mountain.

Yey Batfish for having a preggo symptom! Must be really weird not feeling any different at all!

teejayem · 21/04/2015 19:46

Oh non mumsnet hug purple - I can do a poo jiffy for you....?
My doctor couldn't sign me off quick enough, although it was for other back- related ishoos, but I think generally they are more willing to help the upduffed.
Fuck mini! That's gone so fast!!
Jesus la that is serious drama....you think maybe it's a post mc freak out that will blow over?
ewu be prepared for morning sickness to be evening sickness as well......

chat he's just got in from work and there isn't anyone else with the particular qualification he has to deliver the training at this particular location. I think I've done my first mum face (you know when your lips go so thin that they disappear). He was a bit defensive and said 'well it's at least 3-4 weeks before due date, so I'm sure nothing will happen' I've then pointed out that I can't get out of a laying position or get dressed without help...so... I spend two days naked in bed? I could train the cats to do room service? We also have a consultant appointment the proposed week he's away, to discuss CS vs VB & induction and I've told him under no uncertain circumstances is he missing it. So we've had a bit of a tiff and now he's being ridiculous and looking for new jobs to stop me moaning. Why he can't just say no to work is beyond me. Poxy bloody men!

On the upside I bought some new Birkenstocks in Costco (navy with a bright red sole), a giant pineapple, a bottle of Pinot Grigio which will last me three weeks with a few tiny glasses, a catering tray of croissants, and an apple pie that allegedly 'feeds' 12. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. I bet it doesn't feed 12 pregnant Tee's,

Also picked up boring domestic things. Seriously, The pineapple is the biggest fucking thing ever.

gaggiagirl · 21/04/2015 19:58

tee can we have a photo please? Of the pineapple?.
My mam and dad have cash and carry cards. They have a business that means they buy loads of fabulous stuff. I had such joy helping my mam purchase a black pudding the size of an actual pig and hundreds of baby marmites!

RPopz · 21/04/2015 20:13

A giant real pineapple?? Or like an inflatable one? Grin I am so jel of your apple pie Tee.

Toast85 · 21/04/2015 20:36

Pud I only had queasiness/nausea for a few weeks (until week 8 maybe?) and then nada. Never made it as far as morning sickness. Hoping it stays that way (though fully aware it could still arrive). Anyway, you could be lucky! Don't worry too much about symptoms coming and going- I'm sure something new will pop up soon- I'm learning pregnancy is full of 'wonderful' freaky new discoveries!

Purpleball · 21/04/2015 20:39

Thanks lovelies. I composed a suitable email and felt better. A couple of colleagues skyped me to say they felt the same. I calmed down after that. I still have a battle to fight but I'm feeling better about it. I've got 2 more weeks after this week til a fortnight holiday in cornwall. I'll see how it goes, I don't often get stressed theses days fortunately.

I had my first definite movements today, not a faint one, which distracted me and it reminded me that I needed to calm down for the baby's sake

Tee love the random Costco shopping

I'm nibbling salted peanuts after I read that you should eat them so baby doesn't get a nut allergy Smile

La hope everything is sorted out with your SIL

Purpleball · 21/04/2015 20:41

Wow min sounds like you'll have your hands full. Excited for baby-min though. Hope it all goes well for you, and look forward to pics and birth story

Toast85 · 21/04/2015 20:41

Hooray for movements purple! How many weeks are you?

WilHarlot · 21/04/2015 20:58

Great news about movement Purple, how lovely.

We have to call Minimoo Mini and not Min or it's too confusing with other Min . (It is to my little brain anyway).

Well that was a bloody hot day wasn't it? I'll have five more months like that please.
