Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 26th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oLJqpadAb2givKYq8OJfGCti3s6xzsTGlI-GoaBfM_M/edit?pli=1#gid=0

Congratulations could!! Welcome to the world baby could Smile

WilHarlot · 21/04/2015 06:51

Congratulations Could!

You've had particularly bad pg insomnia La.

Whoever was talking about nappies, just get whichever pack works out cheaper for the nappies you want. Unless there are deals on, or you get some brilliant baby club deal, Boots isn't usually particularly cheap.

ChatEnOeuf · 21/04/2015 07:10

Congrats Could!

DulcetMoans · 21/04/2015 07:14

Things I regret this week: teaching my dad how to play scrabble on his phone. Woke up to a message to ring him when I could, thought it was important but it was just about stupid scrabble!

teejayem · 21/04/2015 07:16

Aww, brilliant news could I remember that BFP Fred!

I woke up three times, my Fitbit is telling me I had 2 hours 9 minutes of unbroken sleep and 193 minutes of restlessness. The rest I was awake.. nightmare heartburn and stomach cramps again which woke me up, went and attempted a poo and that seemed to make it better. Got in a flap tho as me and Mr tee had some pre bed lovin' and it got me panicking his super sperm had sent me into early labour. Don't you just love the way every pain and twinge when you're JSing = AF or icing and then when you're newly duffed it makes you panic about MC/ectopic and then even later it makes you panic about early labour. It's just all one big bloody worry.

And all this caused by a penis!

Might go to Costco this morning, I love it in there but always seem to be unable to spend less than £100. Even if I'm just buying toilet roll and washing powder....

LaLaLaaaa · 21/04/2015 07:20

Ugggg...been awake since 4am. Want to cry

Fleurchamp · 21/04/2015 07:30

Yikes la that's really bad! Is there anything suitable for pg ladies to help them sleep?

I wake up a few times but then seem to get into the deepest sleep just an hour before my alarm. Ugh. I want my bed!

Our builder is coming round to go through what is left to do. He may regret this. I am feeling particularly stroppy this morning Grin

DulcetMoans · 21/04/2015 07:38

Is Costco worth it tee? We have one but haven't risked a card yet. They won't let us in to just look around but seems really popular.

Poor sleep is bearable if naps can be included but so hard when still working. Hope you have an easy day at least la, maybe an early finish?

How much longer will the builders be there fleur?

Fleurchamp · 21/04/2015 07:49

God knows dulcet they were supposed to be done last week! So over it all, I just want it done. Trouble is, they started a new job on Monday and so we seem to have been left with their bodger workman to finish off Sad

Do not mess with a pregnant lady Grin

Good point about Costco, my work has a pass to a trade warehouse place, hmmmm, if I offer to go get the coffee and loo roll perhaps I could sneak in some nappies....

mountaingirl01 · 21/04/2015 07:59

Yay congratulations could :)

dulcet I have the same stabby pains, almost like of pains? I'm going with round ligament pain, especially as bump seems to have had a growth spurt this week.

I've been naughty and bought a Doppler

gaggiagirl · 21/04/2015 08:36

Congratulations could!!!!!!!!!!

teejayem · 21/04/2015 08:38

Costco is good for some domestic stuff if you have the room to bulk buy things like 900 loo rolls, fabric softener etc it does really add up a good saving on your weekly shop. The initial outlay can be a bit ouchy, but I think I'll be getting my nappies there as the deals seem to be better. I really like it for the slightly weirder stuff they sell (canoes anyone!!) I bought a paddling pool for me to lay around in over the summer Tiny tee last month and it was £30 - something similar in Argos is £90. Also batteries are really good value, Birkenstocks, the food is very good value, again if you've got the space to store 900 fresh chicken breasts then it works out incredibly cheep. Ditto fish, ditto things like deli meats and Parma ham. We usually split stuff like that with my mum or MiL as only have wee freezer. They also sell some American stuff you can't really get anywhere else. They're also really good with returns, absolutely no quibble, always just give you your money back, so for us, I think it's worth the membership, but as I said initial outlay for some stuff can pinch a bit, but I think I easily save £20-30 on each 'normal' grocery shop by not having to buy cleaning products, dishwasher tablets, softener, mineral water etc...

It's also amazing at Christmas. Think national lampoons....

WilHarlot · 21/04/2015 08:57

I've wondered about a Costco card too. How much do you have to pay to sign up?

teejayem · 21/04/2015 09:09

It's £30 a year for individual membership, but if you have your own business you can get a trade card which is £25 I think. you can take 2 non members in with you at a time (adults, kids don't count)

Fleurchamp · 21/04/2015 09:45

Hmmm, we have a tiny house. DH would kill me if I started stockpiling loo roll Grin

ChatEnOeuf · 21/04/2015 09:57

I love Costco - got a card to run the coffee club at work and never looked back! Toilet roll, fabric softener, tinned goods are all excellent. I even bought my Christmas stamps there - 5% off :) Nappies are good value, not quite as cheap as when there's a baby event on, or when Amazon used to be generous with their subscribe and save discounts, but cheaper than regular supermarkets.

teejayem · 21/04/2015 10:09

Also the rotisserie chicken and cakes are awesome........

Mr Tee has just told me work are sending him on an overnight weekday job which is 6 hours away. I'll be 35/36 weeks. He'll be away mon- fri. AIBU to be a bit Hmm about this.....?

Fattycow · 21/04/2015 10:20

tee, not unreasonable to be a bit hmm about it. It would be nice if Mr Tee had discussed this with you first. But chances are really small that you will go into labour that early, so you should be fine.

Skinnycow (aka DH) would have two weeks at work left before his summer holiday if baby arrives on due date. He is now planning on working those. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but then again, he might change his mind once baby is here and try to take the time off. He legally has 2 days of paid paternity leave and then he can have 3 unpaid days. He also has some free days that he has built up over the year.
But him not working those weeks would be a nightmare for work. They close for four weeks, so those last two weeks are really important. DH is responsible for making sure everyone gets paid what they are owed and him not being there would mean everybody gets paid later (including himself) and his boss working loads of overtime to get it done. There isn't really anyone who can cover for DH... Maybe he can do half days, I'll suggest that to him.

Anyway, this is all theory. Baby might decide to just stay until 42 weeks and arrive the minute daddy's holiday starts!

DulcetMoans · 21/04/2015 10:37

Yeah, see everyone seems to love it once they are in. We get a discounted rate where I work and we do keep talking about it but never quite committing. Just said about it again to DH and he said I need to do a cost/benefit analysis... la, you love a spreadsheet - fancy a challenge?! (just kidding, no such document will exist!)

Could be that mountain, not sure. Not something I had before yesterday and is just every now and again.

RPopz · 21/04/2015 10:44

Massive congratulations Could Smile

Fleurchamp · 21/04/2015 10:55

tee my DH is away at the moment. All over Europe and the US. I would not like it if I were further along. In fact I hate him being away at he moment and I usually like my month of peace and quiet Grin

However, is that 6 hours driving time? Should be ok should something happen, right? has no idea how long these things take and will be giving birth in the kerb

teejayem · 21/04/2015 11:11

Yeah, it's oop (very) North fleur but they usually get him to use the train as it's cheaper than expensing petrol. (And I would prefer to not be without the car all week) They've just finished his international jobs which is good, at one point he was supposed to be in frigging Quatar at the end of May! I've just said to him it might be worth reminding work that a 12 hour round trip might be a bit of a push with a very upduffed woman at home. I know it's all quite unlikely, and my mum is primed to step in if he isn't around, but I do feel a bit ffs about it - esp as someone else in his team who does a slightly different job has a wife who is due this week and he's spent the last month working from home.. Hmm

Fattycow · 21/04/2015 11:13

Work can be such a pain!

OP posts:
DulcetMoans · 21/04/2015 12:00

Can he say no tee? Seems unfair.

I am lucky in a way, DH doesn't go away much and isn't normally longer than 2 days. I wouldn't like it if he was away nearer the time though so can understand the nervousness for you both.
