Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 26th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oLJqpadAb2givKYq8OJfGCti3s6xzsTGlI-GoaBfM_M/edit?pli=1#gid=0

No idea La, sorry. Maybe if you contacted the company directly you could get some if necessary?

Purpleball · 19/04/2015 19:44

La have you tried eBay or Amazon?

I've been researching monitors again. What I want doesn't exist Sad

I need a video monitor that hooks up to the wifi and links to iPhone/iPad, I also want a movement sensor that detects if the baby stops breathing.
Can't seem to have both in one device unfortunately, I must be high maintenance lol

Shame about the baby show La, you sound so organised, have you much more to buy?

DulcetMoans · 19/04/2015 20:45

Oh wil, kiss face!

That's an unusual friend la! Your phone must just be used to typing CM! Sorry fair was a bit crappy bit at least the company was good.

That monitor sounds like something that should exist purple. To dragons den!

How have you all decided on prams? I feel totally over whelmed by that particular area. Went once with adH, looked briefly with a Dad yesterday to explain why I was overwhelmed and still don't understand! Aren't a lot of them similar in functionality?

I'm really on the fence with Alex, just surprised he said it! He said about Alexandra for a girl too but I would want that to be Lexi for short. We have this thing about having a name that can be in a song and it works for that with 'call me Al'!.

splodge77 · 19/04/2015 21:08

Gosh! Just had a look at the Fred about the offensive vag butter title. What a silly hoohah! I never understand why people get so hot under the collar about being 'offended' by stuff. So what? Being offended isn't gonna kill you is it!? Get over it. I guess some people just love a virtual fisticuffs. Can't wait to see what outlandish Fred title the JSers come up with next. Better be a goodun!!

Toast85 · 19/04/2015 21:11

I think our priorities will be that it's compact enough to fit in a hatchback car boot, not too heavy for me to use on my own (ie in and out of the car), has a proper carrycot that allows baby to lie totally flat (not just a fully reclining seat), ok for occasional off road use.
We're not too sure whether using it with a car seat is essential for us.

I'm feeling the panic rising about where baby will sleep. Unnecessary panic, but actually feel I could cry because I don't know the answer to what is the best option for us. Moses basket/crib/small cot in our room? and what it will sleep in downstairs in the daytime? How do we decide? Panic Confused

ZylaB · 19/04/2015 21:13

la when I wS looking jerk prams and decided n the vista I'm pretty sure the 2014 said it came with adaptors, rain covers and insect covers. So I think you'll be ok. But now I've said that I'm worrying in case I've told you the wrong thing!

ZylaB · 19/04/2015 21:13

I don't know WHAT jerk prams are... Was meant to be 'when I was looking at prams'

WilHarlot · 19/04/2015 21:14

You should be able to hear baby breathing on a video monitor if that's any use Purple.

You can always tweak a song to fit a name Dulcet. I used to get a particular one sang at me a lot when I was younger. Or just pick Sue for a boy and you're sorted.

With buggies I would set a (realistic) budget, find three or four you like the look of for that price or less and then find them in a shop and have a play. It also depends how much you'll use it. I wanted a good mechanism that would take some bashing and would last heavy use for two children. So although expensive - probably about 850 including car seat, I felt it was worth it. If you just want to bob round the shops occasionally and go for a long walk once a week then a cheaper one would probably suffice. Always check you can open and fold it easily before buying and that you're happy with how it feels to push. Any other features may be nice but they're not essential. Or if you want a bargain, get one on ebay/gumtree/baby sale.

KatoPotato · 19/04/2015 21:19

toast we just settled ds1 in the Moses downstairs then carried it to bed with us!

RPopz · 19/04/2015 21:21

Found you!! What's this I hear about you being offensive?

RPopz · 19/04/2015 21:21

You disgustingly rude women. I'm leaving immediately.

WilHarlot · 19/04/2015 21:25

Toast I personally wouldn't go for a moses basket unless given one for free or cheap because they're small and probably only fit for 3 months ish. We have a swinging/gliding crib (borrowed from a friend). You'd also be pushing it to get six months out of it - I think five would be the limit unless you have a particularly small baby. I like the fact you can rock it though as sometimes I can get her back to sleep without lifting her and pushing it with my foot. Size wise cot would be best if you want to do the full 6 months. Although everybody does love a bednest/snuzpod on here.

Daytime the baby will only sleep on you and scream whenever put down so you don't need to worry. I'm joking I'm not. We use carrycot from pram or bouncer chair. Or sometimes crib upstairs to separate her from crazy toddler. Have also used cushion on couch, playmat, car seat....

WigglyBraddins · 19/04/2015 21:35

Hellooooooooo!

I've so loved the pics of DCs and bumps on Facebook that I've come out of hiding. No time to read back through all the posts at the mo but I just wanted to check in with you gorgeous bunch xxxxx

Purpleball · 19/04/2015 21:41

Thanks Wil. It's because there is a risk of babies of diabetics not surviving the first month, so I want an alarm to go off.
We will also be doing a first aid course including CPR although I actually do know it, DH doesn't.
I'm a bit paranoid and hope to sleep when the baby does so I need to be reassured.

We're being given a swinging crib and a Moses basket. We'll use the crib upstairs and the basket for during the day I think

I chose the pram, DH isn't bothered. I liked the carrycot for up to 6 months, didn't want 3 wheels or tiny front wheels and I wanted a decent sized basket. It also comes in lots of colours and it's nice to push. It's a bit heavy but I won't be lifting it much. The carrycot has to come off to collapse it. We have an estate car so boot space wasn't an issue.

WigglyBraddins · 19/04/2015 21:42

Oh my fuckety fucking god! I just checked the stats and they made me sweary! There are so many JSers who've had BFPs that I didn't know about. I am sooooooooooooo super pleased. I will cheers myself with a redush tea (bloody anaemia means I can't even have decaf normal tea) in your honour. Super super super congrats to one and all.

WigglyBraddins · 19/04/2015 21:51

Oooh and please could the stat master update that MiniWiggly's sex will be a surprise and I live in Northamptonshire. Thank you Smile

gaggiagirl · 19/04/2015 21:54

Nice to see you back Wiggly!

WilHarlot · 19/04/2015 22:04

Hi Wiggly!Smile

teejayem · 19/04/2015 22:10

I googled 'funky patterned pram' and the Cosatto came up. That was pretty much decision made.... Although we did agree to look at a few others, the one we ended up buying I'd not seen in the flesh until the baby show, and I fell in love with it on the spot, although it was a close run between that and the silver cross surf in turquoise. The Cosatto clinched it in the end as it was cheaper and I thought a bit lighter, plus with the cash saving I could buy the Snuzpod with the difference. I also wanted something a bit unique and weather themed and it ticked the boxes.
It just about fits in our corsa, and came with the car seat, basinet, and push chair attachments, plus a changing bag, plus all the raincovers, foot muffs etc, so no hidden extras to get which I also liked.

I got a yoga ball, hopefully some bouncing will reposition tiny tee away from the discomfort zone.

DulcetMoans · 19/04/2015 22:16

Yay! Everyone is coming back because they know how fun it is to be filthy! Wink

Good plan wil, I guess once you've set a price and found a couple that do what you want it's simply down to what looks best to you!

When it comes to a Moses basket, can they just go in the Moses bit of a travel system? Seems silly to need a separate thing.

ChatEnOeuf · 19/04/2015 22:22

Widdly! Hello again Smile

We had similar pram criteria - fit in my boot, not too heavy, proper carry cot (which she slept in upstairs and down for months), okay for woodland walks and fitted the carseat. The shopping basket size was a bonus.

Can't believe it's taken this long to offend the offendables Grin

Toast85 · 19/04/2015 22:24

tee how do you find the Cosatto to fold/unfold? We couldn't work it out in the shop and couldn't find a person to show us either. Also as a three wheeler is it still stable over rough ground?
Love love the colours though.

PixieChops · 19/04/2015 22:39

Hi widdly!

Ive had a quick gander at the moany Fred, in my opinion they all need a good shag and are probably jealous coz we've all been doing so much. Daft bunts!
Anyhoo is anyone expecting a DD and fancies having a gander at some of the clothes Ive got? I don't mind posting them and they're only 1-2 pounds each some of which haven't even been worn! Need some cash so we can buy DS some new stud as I don't tink he'll appreciate coming home in a tutu!

PixieChops · 19/04/2015 22:40

That should've said daft bints but I suppose bunts is good too as its a mixture of bints and cunts.

LaLaLaaaa · 19/04/2015 23:05

Yo! I know - my phone automatically changes stuff to ewcm, cm, JSers etc. have to be very careful writing texts!

I wrote down what we wanted then checked it against reviews, then scored out most coz we couldn't afford them! Got uppababy vista 2014 in green. Love. It. I agree with wil - go have a play and see which you like. Then buy cheaper online Grin kiddicare , pramcentre, kiddiesave

Thanks zyla! I think we should just get it down and look. But it took bloomin ages to get it up there!

Hi wiggly! Was wondering how you were! You should be able to change stats sheet yourself but if not I'll do if tomorrow. I've god to stop opening the threads at work, going to get in trouble from computer dept!

Toast - what wil said. Moses baskets have short lifespan so unless borrowed or cheap it's prob not worth the money. Cribs last up to 4-6 months. I've got snuzpod which is like chicco next2me or bednest, it's a co sleeper/crib/carry cot in one . Very good quality and ace design but it is expensive. We are hoping to have another dc after this though so offset the cost that way.

Ha! Daft bunts. Love it.
