Hi guys hope everyone had a nice Easter I for one have had my head down the toilet for most of the weekend!

Just wondering if anyone else is addicted to pos I got a much fainter line this morning and totally panicked used a clear blue digi and defo confirmed pregnant and no bleeding however totally convinced I'm not anymore

Anyone else had this or am I losing the plot?

aletea · 06/04/2015 22:01

daisy I've poas every day since Friday, including twice on Friday and Saturday!! I'll stop soon.... Maybe!

alphabook · 06/04/2015 22:01

I've noticed that too Metal that my boobs get more sore at night - weird!

Try not to worry too much Daisy, test lines vary with the amount of dye and how concentrated your wee is. I am a POAS addict too though so I would feel the same.

daisyspice · 06/04/2015 22:12

Yeah my wee was quite clear especially since vommiting a fair bit I've been trying to keep fluids up at least

Making an appointment with gp tomorrow hopefully just don't think it's sunk in yet

Il prob do another test tomorrow Smile like I have done the last few days Grin

toadierocks · 06/04/2015 22:13

Yayyy pug cycle/bumpy buddies Grin Don't worry about the sickness, you might only get a little bit/none at all but maybe speak to your GP before a long haul flight, if you're worried about it, however I'm sure at an early stage it will be fine, I think it's only after 20 weeks they make you wear the mega socks so your feet don't swell......sexy alert! or if you have high blood pressure etc........

Yeah my boobs are much worse at night, think its time to crack out the big sports bra for extra support!

TMI warning, does anyone else have constipation?! I remember it being one of the worst symptoms with DD and here we go again apparently! I literally feel like someone has pumped me up like a paddling pool! and my farts smell soooooooo bad! sorry ladies! Hmm its been like 4 days....... tomorrow I down a whole bottle of syrup of figs.......oh the grimness!
(DH has had some giggles at my trumping away though so at least there's a funny side to it all)

ThePug · 06/04/2015 22:13

I'm sure I've read that different tests have different levels of dye in them too, so the strength of the line isn't necessarily a good indicator.

I've only done two tests! A superdrug one last Tuesday and a CB digi on Wednesday. I'm secretly hoping the GP will do another one at my appointment tomorrow. I have another CB left so might use that next week to see 3+ weeks if I get anxious.

daisy sorry you've been suffering, doesn't sound like a fun way to spend the long weekend! Has it lasted all day or just at certain times? Will you be ok at work? Your EDD is the same as mine so I'm now dreading what's to come in the next few days Confused

daisyspice · 06/04/2015 22:30

I've been ok up until Saturday and then it's only been a few times so I'm hoping it's ok at work

Certainly not glam the retching sounds like a cow giving birth.....didn't realise I could make such a noise BlushBlush

Ditto with the constipation tho haha

ineedsomeinspiration · 06/04/2015 22:32

I also have awful constipation which is rubbish. I don't remember getting it till later in the pregnancy last time. Been making sure I drink plenty but that is resulting in even more loo breaks.

Back to work tomorrow. Sad

alphabook · 06/04/2015 22:36

Poor you with the vomming Daisy. Definitely sounds like you're pregnant though!!

Toadie my farts have been horrific today, haha! Glad it's not just me!

Well done on your restraint Pug! I'm only testing with CBDs once a week, I've tested every day with other tests though.

sparkle am in the same boat - my LMP was 22 Feb but I'm fairly sure I didn't ov until around 20 March, which puts me 10-14 days behind.

Honestly, I'd go with your LMP date because you'll likely get 2 dating scans...one at your estimated 12 weeks based on LMP, and then they'll have you back to do the measurements again at the adjusted 12 weeks. That's what happened to me last time, anyway - but I guess it depends on the hospital.

I quite like the idea of an early scan....

morecake so sorry to hear of your niece's death. That's so hard on your whole family. No real advice, but I hope you can be happy about your own pregnancy.

Metalhead · 07/04/2015 11:17

Just booked in with my GP, I was shaking like a leaf! My blood pressure was a bit too high (probably because I was so nervous), so I need to get it checked again on Friday. He was lovely though and said he will refer me for an early reassurance scan in a couple of weeks' time due to my anxiety because of what happened last time.

toadierocks · 07/04/2015 11:58

Ah great news that the GP is good metal and you'll get an early scan!

MoreCake I've added you to the stats! I'm so sorry to hear about your Niece, that's such sad news, my thoughts go to you and your family x

WFY (that's all I can remember of your name, sorry!) - good point about potentially getting an extra scan if your estimated dates make it too early. Does anyone know if you normally have to pay for the 12 week scan? I saw some stuff about my local hospital online charging £50 for it because it's not available on the NHS? Or is this a different scan?

Metalhead Yay for telling people, even if only Doctors and so good to hear he was lovely and will give you the early scan.

The Dr I saw this morning was a bit doddery! He asked me two questions twice Hmm and seemed to be asking me whether I should be having a whooping cough vaccine as he couldn't remember - well I don't know! Hmm He also took my blood pressure with a non-digital contraption that was proper old school! Fortunately he said it was 'very very good'! Anyway, he gave me the midwife's number so have just booked my 'booking in' appt for 5th May and is referring me to my diabetes consultant, who hopefully I'll get to see within 2 weeks from now.

It was weird, but amazing, getting to tell a few random medical professionals I'm pregnant this morning. They all said congratulations, as did a lady behind me in the queue at the Dr's surgery when I was getting the midwife details from reception. Lots of warm fuzzy feelings today - can't imagine what it'll be like when I get to tell my family!

Hi ladies Smile

Welcome to the newbies, and congrats on your BFPs!

All this talk about booking-in appointments and GPs is getting me quite excited, but a bit nervous too. Glad yours went well metal and pug!

My GP's appt is next week, but I'm starting to think about where to give birth - apparently you have to book in quite early as they can get pretty busy, and I have no clue how to decide. My two nearest hospitals have really mixed reviews, generally meant to be very good but I've read a couple of horrifying negative reviews online from women who have had a dreadful experience. Do you think that's always how it'll be, with some people having a bad time?

alphabook · 07/04/2015 13:20

Exciting that people are starting to get booking in/early scan appointments. Glad it went well Metal and Pug.

I do think that's par for the course Sweets, there will always be people who have bad experiences and people who like to complain about anything! But I wouldn't worry if the reviews are generally ok.

I called my fertility consultant's secretary this morning, I was really excited to tell a real live person and she didn't even say congratulations! And apparently my consultant is off this week so I won't know til next week if/when I can have an early scan. Feeling a bit deflated, it feels like time is moving so slowly at the moment!

megarobotdiscoparty · 07/04/2015 13:21

That's great news metalhead, hope it's made you feel a bit more reassured. Pug, your doctor sounds ace, bless him.

We've just booked our 7 week scan...wasn't sure if we'd get one as we were on a treatment break but it looks like they don't care once you're paying for it...!

Sweets I reckon you're spot on...will always be a few bad ones. Just like trip advisor I guess! As long as there are plenty more good ones....? Crazy you have to book already. The thought of birth seems too far off to even think about.

Hurrah for warm fuzzy feelings too- nurse at the fertility clinic was chuffed to bits for me so I've had some too today!

7 week scan - 27 April

megarobotdiscoparty · 07/04/2015 13:22

Cross - posted with alphabook... They should train their secretaries better, how very dare she! I will say congratulations instead Flowers

ineedsomeinspiration · 07/04/2015 13:38

Well I've just phoned my GP, they don't see me just go in and pick up a pregnancy pack then they will give me the details to contact the community midwives.
Everything tastes weird today!
I had my 12 week scan and was actually 10 weeks. I didn't get a re scan, guess they got most of what they wanted. They couldn't do measurements they take to get risk of downs syndrome so I had to have a blood test for it.
Feels weird being in work today and no one knows.

Komnu · 07/04/2015 13:42

So exciting to read about everyone's appointments! we're going to book ours tomorrow. Although I'm now back to being super nervous as I (foolishly) did another Clearblue digital today (5+4) and it's still showing 2-3 (ie 4-5 weeks) as opposed to 3+. I'm gutted and now super anxious that it's all going wrong. I have been doing plenty of period maths and I guess it could just about be okay but I would have been a whole lot happier if it showed 3+ already HmmHmm

Sweets27 · 07/04/2015 13:58

Oops sorry for double post earlier.

Thanks alpha and mega, will just have to try to ignore the negative reviews and go with the majority...!

komnu, don't panic. I'm not sure how clever the CB digi is, but doesn't it just go by level of HCG? So if your levels are low-ish it'll say 2-3, if higher it'll say 3+? If that's the case, then maybe you just had less hormone in your pee this time. Did you use FMU? In any case I'm sure it doesn't mean anything.

Komnu · 07/04/2015 14:05

Thanks Sweets, I've just done some Dr Googling and found loads of stories of people who didn't get 3+ until after six or even seven weeks and all was fine! No, not FMU! I do like to make life hard for myself!!! DH thinks i should step away from Google and the pee sticks SmileSmile

alphabook · 07/04/2015 14:43

Aww thank you Mega. I'm seeing and telling my best mate the news tomorrow and seeing some online TTC friends on Saturday who already know so I won't have to wait much longer for some real live excitement!

Try not to worry Komnu, CBDs aren't an exact science.
