I didn't realise dates were adjusted depending on when you ovd. I just thought it was from last af. I guess people with pcos who have massive cycles can't count from cd1 so there has to be another calculator!

I'm going out for birthday meal with my friends tonight, dreading it. They know we have been ttc for years. If I suddenly don't have my compulsory glass of pinot tonight they are going to know. And they are not the type of people to just wonder quietly to themselves either. Someone will blurt it across the table putting me on the spot. I'm a bloody awful liar too. Wish I could just cancel.

Fizzie100 · 16/04/2015 18:06

Chops say you are horrendously hungover!! And that they're lucky you're even there! X

goneswimming · 16/04/2015 18:19

Tummy cramps have been sooooo bad today, I just keep rushing to the loo thinking it must all be over- but nothing, so fingers crossed this is one of those fun'normal' things. Had my first wave of nausea today too. Bleurgh.

ThePug · 16/04/2015 18:21

Thank you all for your well wishes. I'll be back tomorrow morning to update! Good news for now is I just went to the loo and there was nothing.

goneswimming · 16/04/2015 18:27

Hey chops, my doctor told me yesterday not to stress about it too much, having the odd glass of wine won't do any harm! Having said which I still won't, but you could accept a glass, have a sip or two, and get your partner to sneakily drink the rest? Or claim you're driving....

claremccrory59 · 16/04/2015 19:01

Here's the daily odds of miscarriage website link for anybody who missed it before. Handy to take a screen shot photo of it - saves googling every day!

chopsface · 16/04/2015 19:02

I know, I know... Especially as I know my bean isn't connected to my blood supply yet! Maybe I could sip on one drink all night? Can't say I'm driving as its a 10 min walk from my house lol!

Hope you're all ok this evening x

Metalhead · 16/04/2015 19:49

Would you consider telling them chops if they're good friends? My opinion on the whole custom of not telling people until 12 weeks really changed after my mc last year, I found I really wanted to talk about it with people but because no one knew I'd been pregnant it was really hard to bring up. So I'm being much more open this time round, if someone asks me outright I'm not going to lie to them.

Everyone's different though and it is a very personal decision. Whatever you decide I hope you have a lovely birthday night out!

Sweets27 · 16/04/2015 20:18

Ah claire, I like updating it every day so that the yellow bar puts my statistic in lights! tragic

How's the dinner party going, chops? Hope you managed not to blurt it out! I'm so worried about doing the same with my friends - I know if they ask me outright, I'll find it really hard to lie.

Hope everyone's having a nice evening Smile

goneswimming · 16/04/2015 20:54

sweets I do that too!

ineedsomeinspiration · 16/04/2015 20:57

I have also told quite a few people, these are people who I know would care and support me in a bad situation so I'm happy for them to know. I'm not superstitious at all so I don't think telling people will make the chances of anything bad happening higher.

I'm going out if work next week and I wouldn't be surprised if someone guessed as I'm normally very happily on the wine but if they do then they do. It's all personal though.

On another note ds has worried me tonight. Out of the blue he said to me "http://spacefem.com/pregnant/mc.php?m=08&d=10&y=12mummy I need 3 beds" so I asked him why and he replied " because I'm going to have two sisters"! Day before I got mt bfp he told me I had a baby in my tummy.

Whirlwindinthecity · 16/04/2015 21:41

Pug
This is my internal scan from earlier in the week at around 6 wks 5-6 days ish (definitely not older, perhaps a bit younger) the dark circle is the sac, the blob inside it at 7 o' clock is the embryo - about 5.7mm long. Could see a flickering which was apparently the heartbeat too. HTH and good luck.

Sweets27 · 16/04/2015 21:51

Oh whirlwind, how exciting!! Congratulations! And thank you for sharing, really interesting to see, and helpful to know you could see a heartbeat that early.

kaffkooks · 16/04/2015 22:04

To everyone who is knicker checking, I totally agree. I was also worried I wasn't feeling sick enough before, but not now that I'm 7 weeks. Nausea today improved with eating peanut M&Ms! I think it's the combination of salt and chocolate. Last pregnancy I wanted pickled onion monster munch so dh went and bought some but I don't want to eat them. Anyone else found anything that helps the nausea?

In terms of toilet training, I'm doing it now with my son as he'll be turning 3 if number 2 arrives around due date. Still having an accident every few days but I'd rather that than having to wash a bucket of nappies every 2 days (he was in reusables)

chopsface · 16/04/2015 22:40

My birthday meal was fab thanks! 4/5 of us were not drinking so no one asked me anything and a good time was had :-) I got loads of pressies too which I wasn't expecting. My tiredness from earlier vanished too. Though its back with avengence now I'm tucked up in bed!

HariboBrenshnio · 17/04/2015 07:58

Glad you didn't have to share Chops!

Iv told my two closet friends and my parents just for the support. We won't tell anyone else until after the scan. I like having my little secret in my tummy just for us for a few weeks Smile

Sweets27 · 17/04/2015 08:29

chops, glad it was good fun, and so nice for the tiredness to wait til you were home in bed. I was thinking the same as sparkle - maybe you weren't the only one hiding something! Smile

I was awake from 4.30am today for no good reason.. Joy...

WhatsForYeWontGoByYe · 17/04/2015 09:01

Good luck today, pug. Everything crossed.

whirlwind what a lovely thing to see! Makes it more real for the rest of us somehow. Can't quite get my head around the fact that there's (hopefully) something in there, its little heart fluttering away....

ineed woooo! Another psychic toddler Wink. Maybe he means you'll go on to have another girl, rather than have twins this time??

Glad you had a good night out, chops. I have a work leaving do on Tuesday and they're traditionally very boozy affairs. Part of me doesn't want to go at all because I know I'll be shattered by 9pm! Good excuse to leave early, I guess...

NicNak22 · 17/04/2015 09:06

Hi sorry I've been absent for a few days, just catching up. My DH is away all week and I had a horrible accident on motorway yesterday (everyone is fine) but under the stress I told my parents last night (I'm 4+4) and it was lovely to share with them. Obviously DH wanted to be there too bbuthe was happy that I was less stressed and with someone I could talk to. He also suggested telling my closest friend tonight (as I'm going for dinner and no way she will not guess as soon as I refuse the wine!)

chops I'm using antibiotics excuse if anyone asks why I'm not drinking as it invites very few questions.

sweets I was awake from 230 until 4 fortunately dropped back of after that.

HARIBO I think I will I like having a couple of people knowing it helps me believe it more.

tammie49 · 17/04/2015 09:07

That was so lucky chops. I'm dreading my first social occasion as I usually always drink!!

my friend texted me this morning to wish me luck at the fertility click clinic this afternoon but I'm obviously not going. thing is, she's been through all of that so she'll know what to expect so when she asks how it went I'll be hard pushed to make something up. not sure what to tell her, haven't even told my mum yet!! thought I might just say it's been postponed and then maybe tell her the truth when I see her in a week. any thought ladies?

Metalhead · 17/04/2015 09:19

Glad to hear you had a good time chops!

My nausea is definitely getting worse, and the only thing that relieves it temporarily is eating! Mostly carb-heavy stuff too unfortunately... My boobs are also massive and really sore, so I might have to dig out my old nursing bras to wear at night.

megarobotdiscoparty · 17/04/2015 09:27

Fistbump to Sweets for being up at 4:30am - it's clearly the done thing this morning Wink.

Whirlwind - wow! Congrats to you! Now I'm EVEN more excited about our scan.

GOOD LUCK PUG!

tammie if you really want to tell your mum first then I'd go with postponed, I'm pretty sure she won't suspect anything (maybe just be disappointed for you!). It's nice to do these things in person anyway. Although I got giddy and texted my mum and 2 close friends pretty much straight away... waiting to tell my dad in person next weekend though. DH's family still don't know, think we might wait til 12 weeks for them.

I'm shattered after a week of rubbish sleep! Nausea definitely coming on more when I'm feeling really dead tired. Finishing work early to go and see my BFF though - she's 39+2. Never thought we'd get to be pregnant at the same time. It's going to be lush to flop on the sofa together, watch rubbish telly and get excited about her imminent bubs!

Hope you guys have nice weekends planned?
