Yes chops I was on the April bus :) I'm still feeling crampy today and sorry for tmi but do you also have a lot of discharge? It's been like this for over a week now.

I've started to feel really nauseous today but really hungry at the same time. I had some fruit and yoghurt for breakfast but felt sick then an hour later I was starving again. I have put on weight in the past few days so I'm worried that I'm eating too much as surely it can't be baby weight at 6+2 weeks?

abi2790 · 16/04/2015 11:04

As for potty training guys don't rush it and you will find they get it when they're ready. I tried with ds numerous time but if he wasn't getting it after a day or two I'd stop and try again a month later. I tried him again at 27 months and he got it straight away. He was completely dry within a week and at 28 months he's not wearing any nappies at all including at night. It's about catching them at that short period when they're ready to start going on the toilet :)

abi2790 · 16/04/2015 11:05

Hope that was helpful advice :)

HariboBrenshnio · 16/04/2015 11:23

That is helpful Abi thanks. Iv heard similar so I'll just try at different times. 27 months is at my due date though! Eek.

ineedsomeinspiration · 16/04/2015 11:34

whatsfor my ds will be 4 by the time baby arrives so not the same as you but in my experience of potty training there's no point rushing it. I think it will be less stressful if you do it when you dd is ready regardless of when that is.

Metalhead · 16/04/2015 11:47

Fx it's nothing to worry about sweets.

chopsface · 16/04/2015 12:21

Abi no discharge for me, dry as a bone! I've changed my name from the April thread. Got rid of the ttc name lol! Chopsface is what my dh affectionately call me lol! You had bfn for ages didn't you?

Sorry guys I can't remember anyone else's names apart from the one above either!

Hi tessie and metal and anyone else I know! Oh yes metal name changed you might not recognize me! Long timer off the 10 month plus Wink

megarobotdiscoparty · 16/04/2015 12:28

sending positivity to sweets

DS will be 2.5... no plans to rush potties here though. He's not a child who will be made to do anything he's not ready for anyway - we're going to go with the brown flow!

Metalhead · 16/04/2015 12:31

Ah, I did indeed not recognise you chops! Welcome to the thread, good to see you again! Smile

WhatsForYeWontGoByYe · 16/04/2015 12:54

Thanks all - I'm definitely generally in the 'let's just see how it goes' camp too and will most likely wait til she's ready. She'll be exactly 2.5 when DC2 arrives, and is already very keen to tell me when she's pooed. So maybe it'll just work out that she naturally becomes ready before December - let's hope so!

Glad to hear no-one else is planning on rushing things.

Fizzie100 · 16/04/2015 13:17

Sorry for the slightly negative post but I am so anxious whenever I go to the loo......anyone else got the fear too? I really need to let go of the past MC and focus on this being a new pregnancy. X

WhatsForYeWontGoByYe · 16/04/2015 13:28

I think that's normal fizzie, whether you've had a previous MC or not. I do really feel for anyone who has previously mc'd, though - this part must be really tough going.

Did you see the stats link someone posted? It's quite reassuring, and every day the risk falls. One day at a time!

Fizzie - Iv had a loss although didn't bleed until after medical management but I'm still knicker checking like a mad woman. Iv a lot of discharge at the moment which is sending me to check more often. I remember knicker checking until I gave birth with my first pregnancy before I even consider a loss. Totally normal Smile

Metalhead · 16/04/2015 13:59

Another one here on constant knicker watch!

Just had a call from the midwife who took some details and said she would chase up my early scan appointment for me, so hopefully I'll get a date through the post soon.

Fizzie100 · 16/04/2015 14:05

You're all so lovely thank you.x

abi2790 · 16/04/2015 14:17

I have the same problem as you sparkle. I have to constantly go to the loo to check what's going on because of the discharge (ugh!)

Yes chops I didn't get my bfp till Cd37 which is why I'm a bit confused about my edd. Congratulations on your bfp Grin

Sweets27 · 16/04/2015 14:18

Fizzie, think positive thoughts! I'm a bit worried at the moment after a little bit of blood last night, but I think all we can do is try as hard as we can not to freak out and get stressed. There's nothing we can do, except look after ourselves. I haven't experienced MC before, so I can't imagine how hard that is, but hope you manage to stay positive! Flowers

As for me, couldn't get through to EPU so I have brought my private scan forward. I now have it next Thursday, when I'll be 7 weeks exactly - I think that might be too early to see a heartbeat, but should still be able to check that everything's going more or less to plan. Has anyone had a scan at 7 weeks before? What were you able to see?

I've then got my booking in appt at 8+5, so at least I should get an earlyish scan with the hospital too.

Ugh - if only these things were simple! But then the reward at the end wouldn't be so great, I guess. Smile

Metalhead · 16/04/2015 14:40

sweets you should definitely be able to see a heartbeat at 7 weeks. Fx everything will be fine.

Sweets27 · 16/04/2015 15:07

Thanks metal. Fx for you too getting the early scan booked in!

megarobotdiscoparty · 16/04/2015 15:32

Can confirm heartbeat at 7 weeks (if your dates are right!). Our scan will be at 7 weeks exactly and that's what they'll be looking for.

Find the date thing really annoying...from LMP I'm 6 weeks today but I'm putting myself back to 5+3 due because I ovulated on cd18. Last time I got my dates put back at scan and found it really frustrated me not being as far along as I thought, so I'm preempting it!

ThePug · 16/04/2015 15:55

Mega please can you explain how you alter dates to try to take account ovulation date? My LMP was 28th Feb which would make me 6+5 today. I ovulated on CD18 (17th March) though, so how many days should I take off? Is it 4 because the calculators assume you would ov on CD14?

Sweets We're in this together - I've had brown spotting since yesterday morning every time I go to the loo. Am pretty terrified. Fortunately I have my first appointment with my consultant tomorrow morning so I can mention it then and possibly ask for a scan (which they say they will do at 7 weeks anyway, and in theory I will be 6+6 - although maybe only 6+2 going by mega 's maths!)

Anyone know what should be visible on a scan at somewhere between 6+2 - 6+6???

Sorry for neglecting the rest of you, have been too stressed out about the spotting to join in the last couple of days.

megarobotdiscoparty · 16/04/2015 16:15

Oh Pug! Flowers sending you positive vibes. And cake. Lots of cake. You'll get some reassurance soon. Keep on ticking down the days!

Yep I ovulated at cd18 too and I've knocked off 4 days as they assume you ovulate at cd14. They may date it differently at the scans (I got one due date at 7 weeks and a different one at 12) but it's likely they'll knock it back to something like that.

Sweets27 · 16/04/2015 16:45

Oh pug Flowers really glad you've got an appointment tomorrow and will be able to tell the consultant about the spotting. Hope they book you in for a scan in the next few days. Fx for both of us!

And thanks robot and metal, hopefully heartbeat will be seen next Thursday and I'll have a weight off my mind - as long as no more spotting...

Metalhead · 16/04/2015 17:07

Good luck tomorrow pug, I hope you get a scan and everything's fine. With my last pregnancy I had a scan where they dated me at 6+2 and we saw a heartbeat, so you might be able to get some reassurance from that.
