Ive booked an early scan at the beginning of May. Shock

megarobotdiscoparty · 09/04/2015 13:33

Sending positive vibes to konmu - ace news about the scan. Eyes on the prize!

Waving to all the new baps (Bloated Anxious Pregnant Sistas??)

aletea I am a total over planner and already worrying about how to deal with a Christmas-time birthday. What do you do for your DC? Or is it just special as family already together/a special time of year? I've already decided we should have a separate birthday tree...

...if all goes well that is! Had honestly forgotten how endless this bit is...so much waiting and uncertainty.

Hope you ladies are all good today!

MoreCakeMoreCake · 09/04/2015 13:49

Arf arf at Baps!

Apart from obsessive POAS (stopping now, Brownie's honour) not much in the way of symptoms here. Tired and a bit of stretching / bubbling sort of feeling "down there". Thought I'd be starving hungry (I'm usually a right greedy bugger, as you can tell from MN name) - but have really wanted fresh, healthy stuff.

Sorry to hear about the faux hangovers - that's exactly how I get with DD. Rough as arse. I recommend lots of sour / tangy sweets and citrus fruit if you can stomach it Smile

shinysparklythings · 09/04/2015 14:06

Sending positive thoughts to komnu having a scan sounds like a good plan.

terry sounds exciting!

mega I like that acronym expanded bit! I've not thought about the whole near Xmas birthday yet, just trying to get through this first trimester.

Hope everyone is having a nice day x

Sweets27 · 09/04/2015 14:41

Hmm, new symptom. Itchy nipples. Anyone else got this, or am I just having a weird day?!

puzzledleopard · 09/04/2015 14:51

Hi Finally BFP Mon 6th 13 days late on period gave up testing with bfn hadn't seen partner for week decided to take one together thought I was a complete nutter. Had heart attack partner said I wasn't pregnant passed me the test two lines but test line was faint but clearly visible! Having to explain was awkward! Due date 1st but midwife worked it out at 4th but I have a 26 day cycle not 29?! But I was on cerazette and my lmp lasted one day so unsure what's going on midwife taking from there So if it is from then I'm around 6weeks 1 day

This will be second DD is 4.
Anyone else had horrendous stretching and pains and pains when stretching when I stretch in a morning which i seem to do a lot I'm in so much pain told midwife didn't seem bothered. I don't remember with my first :( Im so much more worried about this pregnancy and where it's going and what's for the best :(

TerryTheGreenHorse · 09/04/2015 15:42

Congratulations. Reminds me of my first test, DP Looked and said oh your not pregnant there is only a really little pink line, I had to say er no.

He didn't believe me until I got a digital one which said YOU ARE PREGNANT.

Hellooo, can I come tentatively aboard?! I've PedOAS three times today, all having faint positive lines. AF was due today Eeeeeeek! I've only had one period since having my implant out so unsure about EDD, about December 18th. Last month I had what felt like like all the pregnancy symptoms but only got BFNs, while this month I felt nothing amiss, so I was sure nothing would happen. Now I'm off to research what to do next get back to work. In summery:

Sweets27 · 09/04/2015 17:20

Congratulations, leopard and afloat! Smile

ineedsomeinspiration · 09/04/2015 17:55

Mega I'm now officially a Baps! I already have one christmas baby 18th December and this one has the same due date. I think it's fine but hard for anything but a family party as everyone so busy. DS also tends to get lots of presents throughout the year from family.

I don't think I'm as tired as I remember being last time but then tired is pretty much a permanent stare of affairs with a 3year old.

I got my booking in appointment today for 7th May. Midwife said she had spoke to 10 other newly pregnant ladies today. Which may not seem a lot but we are in a small town in deepest darkest suffolk. Scan appointment will follow in the post.

Jodiesaurus · 09/04/2015 19:38

Hi can I join you all? I'm not due on till Sunday but had 2 positive though faint lines. My due date is 20th dec but probably Xmas day lol?? I did a test yesterday and today. I already have 2 dds and had a miscarriage in January which didn't feel right from the beginning feeling a lot more positive about this one though scared very scared. Puzzled I've got horrendous stretching pains and boob ache. Here are my tests! Will test again on Sunday.

Could I be added to stats due 20th dec dc3 thanks

Serenity05 · 09/04/2015 19:57

Hi ladies, it is with slight disbelief that I'm coming aboard!

I got my BFP on Tuesday evening - totally unexpected considering I've just been having tests to see if there was anything wrong with me!

Basically, from when I ovulated in February through to early March, I had terrible pains around my right ovary. I went to my GP and she referred me for blood tests and an ultrasound (I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 17 - been on the pill for nearly 12 years so the symptoms were gone but the worry was it was coming back). I had my day 21 bloods which came back fine (obviously!) and an ultrasound a week and a half ago, which showed signs of there having been a follicular cyst which had burst, causing the pain.

I was due to have day 3 bloods taken last week but I cancelled the appointment when AF didn't arrive and despondently thought there must be something wrong with me. I spoke to my GP on Tuesday when she rang me to go through my test results and when I told her my period still hadn't come she asked me if I'd done a test. Pretty obvious question but I never, ever thought I could be pregnant this month, so I hadn't bothered. She asked me to do one anyway, 'just in case'. So I did when I got home, all casual, not expecting anything to happen... and then two solid lines appeared and I flipped out! I couldn't believe it so I went out and bought a digital test - another BFP. I bought another one in the morning and after the third BFP I finally allowed myself to believe this is really happening!

Got my first midwife appointment booked in for Monday. We haven't told anyone else yet but we're seeing FIL and StepMIL this weekend and I think we're going to have to tell them because they will notice that I'm not drinking.

My EDD is 9th December. I know it's incredibly early days so I'm trying not to get too excited, but because of all the problems I had when I was younger I really thought TTC was going to be a long, hard journey. This feels like a little miracle!

My stats: 31 YO, DH 32, TTC since December '14, EDD 09/12/2015.

Jodiesaurus · 09/04/2015 20:01

aletea · 09/04/2015 20:43

mega It really bothered me when I was pregnant with DD. I hated that she might have an actual xmas birthday, you know? But she's a xmas eve one and it honestly it so nice. We have her party the weekend before then spend the morning doing presents and stuff, then go on the Santa train, then do xmas eve stuff then the big man comes. I don't think she feels like she's missing out. Her cousin is a xmas day baby so the family is used to it!

Whoever asked about itchy nipples, I've found if you hold it and give it a bit of a squeeze it stops bothering you!

ineedsomeinspiration · 09/04/2015 20:48

Hello new ladies and congrats. Lovely suprise for you Serenity.

Dh is eating twiglets and my goodness do they stink. Literally turning my stomach.

Had a weird dream last night. My Nan (not the one who recently passed) who we lost around 6 years ago was in the living room. Said she'd come for a visit but couldn't stay long. I knew she had passed away in the dream but not a ghost. She gave me a great bit lovely hug and then went. Was so lovely and woke up and felt really reassured.

Jodiesaurus · 09/04/2015 21:08

Just told my mum who seems very excited can't keep anything from her. She loves the fact it's a Xmas baby but I've told her she's coming to me this year taking no chances my last dd was born on the living room floor by a paramedic as had her under an hour was advised home birth next time. First was 4 hous so maybe I will always labor quickly?

megarobotdiscoparty · 09/04/2015 21:28

Thanks for your lovely Christmas birthday stories inspiration and aletea. My in - laws are pretty tight knit so I reckon if we do get our December bubs it will get thoroughly spoilt each year!

Welcome to all the new turkey baps (love it!!) and congrats to all. Serenity how lovely! I've got PCOS too - we were on a month off fertility treatment due to a bad cyst and I was waiting to hear if I'd need an op for it when I got my BFP. How funny that sometimes these things come just as you're at your lowest ebb!

Hope everyone ok. Our house just recovering from the sickness bug that's going round...keep thinking I'm getting morning sickness but think it's just bad guts Hmm Hope so anyway...could do with a few more days respite before it all kicks off!

inspiration how lovely about your dream! Anyone else getting super vivid ones? Had forgotten that symptom from first time round...

daisyspice · 09/04/2015 21:28
