Hi Terry and Jcandy

Yes this is turning into a mega coach of preggars! woooohoooo!

Komnu I'm so sorry you're worried, it's so scary when you have a bleed, I did with DD and she turned out fine and dandy, go put your feet up and try and relax, sending hugs

Right I've had a productive afternoon and booked in my early scan for the 20th April, eeeeek I'm all nervous anxious now!

Tried to book myself in at Hospital too to register the pregnancy but just got a load of answerphone's so I've now left messages all over the south of England, telling them I'm pregnant, haven't even told my mum yet!!! Crikey!

Sweets27 · 08/04/2015 16:07

sparkle do you mean they won't take my call to book in until I'm 8 weeks, or I won't be going to an appointment til I'm 8 weeks? I'm fine if I don't get an appointment for another few weeks, just want to get the ball rolling!

Haha toadie - definitely feels weird to be telling other people before your parents, doesn't it? Even if they are medical professionals!

dojo123 · 08/04/2015 16:13

Hi Ladies

Just have to go back and catch up. Have had BIL and SIL staying with their two DDs (6yo and 5yo) it's been a lot of fun but I am now shattered, instead of being able to kick back and enjoy the sun I'm having to get on with some work for a meeting with a new client tomorrow.

Hope you are all well. 5wks today and still don't feel pg. No sickness touch wood getting a little tired but around 9pm so not completely terrible. No other symptoms other than bloating and swollen feet! I blame the heat

Now to catch up on you chatty lot!

TerryTheGreenHorse · 08/04/2015 16:36

are you having a private scan toadie?

I'm tempted but not sure.

I'm so bloated it's ridiculous, I'm going to struggle to find clothes that fit very soon. Though I kind of remember this happening last time and then calming down a bit.

toadierocks · 08/04/2015 17:01

Yes Terry I'm having a private scan, my local EPAC only see you before the 12 week scan if there's a problem, I was hoping they had a drop-in morning clinic or something but no such luck so got one booked in via ultrasounddirect I'll only be 7 weeks at that point but it's just to check on in on the heartbeat :) lub-dub-lub-dub

Ah yes sweets it feels so strange, only my DH and BFF know so far, I'm waiting until I've had the viability scan before I tell the nearest and dearest as last time we told everyone early and then miscarried and it was extra heartbreaking having to call back round everyone and tell them the awful news :( I'm just pacing up and down awaiting the scan, just want everything to be OK and that I've got a stick bean this time, I swear the 1st trimester is the worst and most stressful time for pregnancy. 11 more days of pacing!

Hi everyone, can I also join please?

I got my BFP on Saturday. Haven't rung the GP yet as the news is still sinking in, shocked is an understatement but it's a happy surprise. Really glad I found this thread, this is my first pregnancy so completely unaware of what I should be feeling or if certain things are normal for this stage - so you have all put my mind at ease with your stories.

My stats: I'm 30, recently single, first DC, EDD 1st December. Oh and new to MN although lurked for a long time

PotHeadedPixie · 08/04/2015 17:06

Oh also probably should add, my username is a song, nothing to do with me and drug use- I really should have thought it through before I registered!

toadierocks · 08/04/2015 17:07

Hiya pixie waves congratulations on your happy surprise Grin

MrsUnderwood · 08/04/2015 17:10

I'm checking in here, too! got a positive test yesterday, EDD is 10th December. Hope this baby will be punctual as the last one was 10 days late and I really don't want to spend Xmas in hospital!

TerryTheGreenHorse · 08/04/2015 17:11

GrinPixie welcome!

I am tempted for that reason toadie, I have 2 hen weekends and a wedding coming up and feasibly I'm just going to have to tell people sooner than I would like, so I'd like to make sure everything is ok.

How much are they if you don't mind me asking, and also, is it an external camera? I don't think I can face the dreaded dildo cam. I'm feeling rather tender at the moment.

daisyspice · 08/04/2015 17:12

Hi potheadedpixie welcome! Smile

Aw toadie it's horrible doesn't help when ppl u have told say oh it's early then! so much for reassurance Confused

Positive thinking is what I'm doing one day at a time

TerryTheGreenHorse · 08/04/2015 17:15

Hello too Mrs Underwood. Ive got an EDD of 16th December at the moment, so im thinking the same. Not really wanting to be in hospital on Christmas day!

Has anyone got an EDD of 25th December yet or is it still a little early?

toadierocks · 08/04/2015 17:27

Hiya MrsUnderwood welcome welcome :)

Terry the scan I booked was £99 and its for a half an hour scan with measurements, heartbeat check and viability check (and printed photos of course!) I think they try first with the usual external camera but if they can't get a good look (like your uterus is tilted backwards, which apparently is very common) then they have to use the dildo cam (LMAO at that expression) but by 7-8 weeks they should see a clear pic on the external.

Daisy I know what you mean! yes one day at a time and each day is one day closer to having squishy baba's in our arms

I've booked in for something similar 8 week scan which will be on my birthday although think my scan is £40 or something

Anyone else's nipples suddenly have a mind of their own Blush mines have been out and proud ready to meet and greet all day

Proudmummy2456 · 08/04/2015 17:50

Hi Ladies,
I got my BFP about 2 weeks ago and have been looking for this thread. My EDD is the 5th of December and we are booking for an early scan when I'm 8 weeks as a birthday present! I have a DD that is 4 and I'm 24

abi2790 · 08/04/2015 18:17

hiya ladies just got my bfp today! very unexpected because last week (cd30) I got 2 bfn's but I have been feeling very sick for the past couple of days so decided to test again and got my bfp!Grin

TerryTheGreenHorse · 08/04/2015 18:30

Oo the scans are cheaper than I thought.

I might treat myself, this is DEFFO my last baby!

Congratulations to the new BFPs.

Waves to all the new people on the bus!

I feel as sick as a dog and so tired. I had my booking in at 4 weeks due to a thyroid condition so I'm expecting a letter from the hospital any day with a scan date for early may. Hurry up!

We have a big family dinner and a flipping family holiday in May and I'll be the only sober one Envy

abi2790 · 08/04/2015 19:14

Tell me about it sparkle, I was so shocked!

Fairy I know how you feel. Literally never felt so tired in my life and have been feeling sick for 2 days straight and I'm only 5 weeks! I dread to think what it will be like in a couple of weeks! I had one week or sickness with ds at about 12 weeks. But I had the most horrific heartburn in the latter stages so maybe I might skip that? (Grasping at straws!)

Glenpip77 · 08/04/2015 19:31

Hi all, tentatively joining after having 2 miscarriages last year at 8 & 9 weeks, which was a shock after a very easy pregnancy with my almost4 yr old daughter. My stats are I'm 38, this will be dc#2 with an EDD of 1st dec Smile

MrsMcJnr · 08/04/2015 19:42

Congratulations to all the new mamas who have joined. All of us are pretty much windy and tired at the moment then. Can't remember if i told you before but i was worried about telling DH because he didn't want another baby and whilst this one is a happy accident as far as i am concerned i was worried about his reaction. I told him last night and he gave me a hug and said it was exciting but today he has drafted a whole list of reasons not to have the baby. I am too tired to argue with him right now but i am really disappointed he feels that way and i so hope he comes round as i really want this baby now

ThePug · 08/04/2015 19:47

Oh goodness MrsMc I can't imagine being presented with such a list. What is the age gap to your other DC? What are his reasons? Mainly financial? You've had a few days for it to sink in so I suppose I would give him some space to do the same and only then talk through his list with him, hopefully giving rational arguments against his list.

toadierocks · 08/04/2015 20:22

Hi New peeps! waves Congratulations!! I've added you to the stats Grin

MrsMc I'm so sorry DH has changed his views today, hopefully he's just having an off moment or panicking a bit and he'll wake up tomorrow and be a ray of supportive sunshine, sending you hugs and Flowers

Glenpip fx for you and having a sticky bean this time x
