Hi everyone,

Got a BFP over the weekend, four weeks today.

It's DC3 so I'm feeling a mixture of yay and oh my bloody god.

Internet cheapies are rubbish, I can vouch for that! They do go darker but way way way after other tests.

MoreCakeMoreCake · 08/04/2015 10:15

Thanks all. I thought I was being clever buying a pack of about 1000 pg tests for a fiver! Turns out they're cheap for a reason!
Yep, my weird stretches are very gentle but reassuring IYSWIM that "something" is going on down there!

sweets the waiting is awful isn't it, I can't wait 8 weeks for first scan! Feels like forever. With DD I didn't test until about 5-6 weeks as we were on hols - a couple of weeks less to wait for everything. I'm not known for my patience!

TerryTheGreenHorse · 08/04/2015 10:17

I ordered a job lot before I got the BFP. They should be here today.

I did one on the weekend and you needed a microscope to see the line but I got a clear BFP on a frer.

I am a bit of a testing fiend so I just use them to see if there is any point splashing out on a good test.

megarobotdiscoparty · 08/04/2015 10:47

whatsforye I was an occasional lurker until the very end- got bored/excited around due date and finally joined in!

Welcome all the new BFPs! Bit of a bad morning here :-( Some bleeding when I woke up - it hasn't got worse luckily, but I am not feeling so hopeful. I called the non emergency medical number (we're not in UK) and they advised all could be well as some bleeding can be normal, and just said (nicely!) wait and see. We went ahead and booked our booking in appointment anyway as we had planned to do today, so please cross your fingers for us.

Hope everyone is well and not too many people being woken at the weeing hour Wink

Namechanged101 · 08/04/2015 12:10

komnu fingers crossed for you x

Komnu · 08/04/2015 12:16

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I had this with my DD too, and she's right as rain, it's just hard to have any perspective when it's just a case of waiting.....

DD is napping now and I have chocolate Smile, so am going to have a bit of a chill out I think.

WhatsForYeWontGoByYe · 08/04/2015 12:23

Everything crossed for you komnu - must be hard being far away at times like this x

mega did you join the FB group afterwards...? Just wondering if we're already 'connected' Wink

Sweets27 · 08/04/2015 12:39

Congratulations terry, how exciting! Smile

komnu, fingers very tightly crossed for you. Strong chance that it's just implantation bleeding, so keep positive and try not to worry! Chocolate always helps. Cake

megarobotdiscoparty · 08/04/2015 12:46

Crossing everything komnu and chanting for your sticky bean. Typical younger sibling already wanting to be just like big sis...

whatsforye no - I dropped off the radar afterwards sadly! I will do better this time! Lovely to have others with DCs the same age on the thread.

Welcome to all new BFPs! Getting busy in here - I'll move up a bit so you can all get a seat!

Jcandy · 08/04/2015 12:46

Hi all Smile can I join please? After 4 days of positive tests I think I'm just about ready to actually admit that I might be pregnant Smile had an early mc at 5 weeks in December so feeling very nervous.

For stats I'm 30, it's my first DC and Edd is 16th December

komnu Everything crossed for you. Did they do an early scan with your DD to check everything was ok? Might you ask for/be given that this time?

Big welcome to Terry and Jcandy Smile Our minibus is turning into a coach now, and soon it'll be a double decker I reckon!

TerryTheGreenHorse · 08/04/2015 13:17

I suppose I'd better call the doctors! I was thinking of doing it next week it still seems so early.

Komnu sending vibes your way, some bleeding is really common, hope that everything settles down for you.

I am only four weeks today but I am so bloated up, I am hoping it settles down I can't even do my jeans up, already.

Sweets27 · 08/04/2015 13:19

Hi jcandy, welcome to the bus and congratulations! Smile Fingers crossed for a sticky one this time, really hope it all goes well for you.

Ok ladies, my GP's appointment isn't til next Tuesday and I am getting WAY impatient so I'm going to self-refer to one of the two hospitals I've been looking at, and see if I can get my booking-in appointment with one of the midwives there. Aaaaaaargh, time needs to move more quickly! sparkle and daisy, you must be so excited to have the appointments in the diary!

Sweets27 · 08/04/2015 13:23

I'm feeling really bloated too, terry, can't quite decide whether it's water retention, needing to pee all the time, constipation, actual uterus expanding, or some combination of the above... either way, very tedious!
