Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 25th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

The stats sheet will be linked to by our stats hero La (can't do on iPad sorry!)

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Oh and just realised bathroom smells of smoke. He's hung his work shirt up there, it reeks of fag smoke so that would be the 'I've given up smoking' lie too. Grin I honestly think he thinks I'm thick.

WilHarlot · 12/04/2015 07:05

La can you print off some of the info about smoking and babies and get him to read it? Hope his hangover doesn't make today horrible for you.

I don't think you need to bother researching sleep training methods unless you get to a point where you need them. Like Pis said, you wouldn't do it with a little baby.

LaLaLaaaa · 12/04/2015 07:12

Yeah I will do that thanks wil.

DulcetMoans · 12/04/2015 07:18

Showdown today then la? In my baby school yesterday they were talking about dangers of second hand smoking to babies. Apparently there is a rumour that if you wash your hands after smoking and 20mins before touching the baby it is all ok but they said its not. The smoke that is on the clothes and breath is dangerous to baby lungs. Maybe printed info will help like wil said?

Visiting the birthing centre today to have a tour! See how I feel about it then.

teejayem · 12/04/2015 07:49

I hate the idea of my MiL touching my baby its her stinky fag hands :(. Why do men lie about this kind of thing when fag smoke is the most sniffable thing ever and pregnant ladies have the ability to smell an ant doing a poo at 30 miles away?? I've been fortunate that Mr tee has stopped, but he gets a bit huffy if I ask him to change after he's visited his mum.
If all else fails, , I can do him a Jiffy bag special la? Xx

I have a baby foot in my ribcage. I can't make him moooove and I want bacon....

WilHarlot · 12/04/2015 07:51

Baby school!Grin Who made up that rumour?! Like waiting an arbitrary 20 minutes would do anything. I think the smoking issue must be so hard with extended family. It's not like you can tell them not to smoke anymore, but you must worry any time they're around them.

ZylaB · 12/04/2015 08:05

Just lol tee at your Jiffy bag special!

LaLaLaaaa · 12/04/2015 08:26

Yes to jiffy poo! Will PM address, ta tee

Toast85 · 12/04/2015 08:56

Ooh dulcet will be interested to hear how you find the birthing unit!

How are you today daisy and 5hell?

Bloomin work today... Would rather be tidying the garden (now resembling a jungle) or buying maternity clothes/bras. Unfortunately work will zap all my energy and I'll be good for nothing by the time I'm done. Hurry up 2nd trimester energy boost!

Purpleball · 12/04/2015 08:57

She let them cry for a minute, went in and soothed them, then let them cry 2 mins and soothed them. Kept increase in it and they'd go to sleep mostly. She never let them cry more than 10 mins I think. I'll check with her

Jcandy · 12/04/2015 09:06

Sounds like he's got his head in the sand lil hopefully he'll get his wake up call before the baby is born!

Jcandy · 12/04/2015 09:08

Sounds like he's got his head in the sand la hopefully he'll get his wake up call before the baby is born!

Fattycow · 12/04/2015 09:08

la, mine will be in for a shocker once baby gets here as well. I'll kick his arse bloody if he still smokes then! Also, no 'spontaneous' hanging out with mates either. He needs to help with the baby and any outings need to be at least a bit planned. Not that I think he will have any energy left to go out to the pub for hours anyway...

ChatEnOeuf · 12/04/2015 09:09

Morning! Hope you had lovely birthdays Purple and Lil

Baby school made me :) The only safe smoking around babies is no smoking - no matter how long you leave it or how many mints you chew, you're still clinging to the stench and chemicals. Ick.

Wil, don't think you can send them back at this stage! Lord knows I've been tempted some days. Maybe we could let the stubborn little madams run off together and we can quietly sip gin/wine in blissful ignorance.

I couldn't do any kind of sleep training, just don't have it in me. I reckon settling yourself to sleep is a developmental stage, some get it straight away, some need a lot of time and help to figure it out. DD was one of them! Didn't think I was a lentil weaver but apparently I might be. Either that or I'm just quite lazy Hmm

MiniChat was sooo uncomfortable last night. Limbs everywhere interspersed with BHs made for an interesting evening...settled down with a bath thankfully.

LaLaLaaaa · 12/04/2015 09:09

That sounds sensible purple, I'll see what baby's like when it arrives and read up then if needed

Dh is snoring like a gorilla

Dulcet hope it goes ok I'm not allowed tour of mine

Fattycow · 12/04/2015 09:17

tee, my FIL smokes like a chimney as well... Sad

Purpleball · 12/04/2015 11:34

Dulcet hope the tour goes well.

Toast I've not noticed any more energy Sad

LaLaLaaaa · 12/04/2015 11:38

:) I think I had about 2 weeks of more energy, then it plummeted again...

My hand hurts - like a tendon has popped or something. It's all fuzzy and tingly and sore. Honestly I feel like a right hypochondriac just now!!!

Has anyone heard from lemon? Bit worried :(

mini how are you doing?

daisyspice · 12/04/2015 12:15

Happy belated birthday purple!!

So far no more bleeding and just had some sickness yay!! Never thought I'd be happy with having my head down the loo!!

Still phoning epu tomorrow just to be on the safe side

Hope everyone is doing ok! X x

deeplybaffled · 12/04/2015 12:24

I've had a bit more energy from about 17 weeks or so, but for me, the worst period of tiredness was from about 13 to 17 weeks, where it felt like i was moving through treacle and i started fantasising about going to bed shortly after lunch!
Glad that seems to have improved; )

Took the plunge yesterday and signed up to rent a bednest - they're doing an offer on their website to rent one for about £80 for 6-7months if anyone is interested, normally £100. Think the offer ends tonight.

WilHarlot · 12/04/2015 12:33

Yes Chat! We'll drop them off at the Peppa Pig theme park then they'll be too distracted to see which way we went. Although actually it's the screamy one giving me grief today. Can't work out what's wrong with her.

Good news Daisy!

ZylaB · 12/04/2015 14:54

If there's anyone near Nottingham way who wants a Moses basket we've this one from Mamas and Papas available. It's been used about twice as H is 9 weeks old but her reflux means she's got to be at an angle so prefers napping on us on her bouncy chair, so I can guarantee the mattress is new etc. I don't want anything for it, would just like it to get some use :)

Jcandy · 12/04/2015 15:06

zyla the link just takes you to the mamas and papas website.

Ok do we still do hooyahs over this side coz I think I need one! Getting cramping, moderate at times but not severe. It's just normal isn't it. Isn't it?!

Jcandy · 12/04/2015 15:07

No wait it works it was just my silly phone Smile

Jcandy · 12/04/2015 15:16

If there isn't anyone who is due to have their baby sooner than me who would like zylas moses basket then I would quite like it if possible :) I live in Derbyshire but work in Nottingham. But if not then that's ok Smile
