Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 25th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

The stats sheet will be linked to by our stats hero La (can't do on iPad sorry!)

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Go for it JC!

splodge77 · 12/04/2015 15:41

Ugh, hormones! Had a v vivid dream last night that DP walked out on me & DS. It was horrid and made me cry for about an hour. Then finally got back to sleep to be woken an hour later by DS jumping on my head & DP going off cycling. On one hand was so relieved he was still there, on the other ive been grumpy all day about having to do so much DS-wrangling whilst huge-bellied and in serious pelvis-pain. (DP been working late a lot too so I've been doing bedtime etc alone).mdont want to be fed up & moody on such a lovely sunny day but grump!! I am.

Jcandy · 12/04/2015 16:43

Sorry about the dream splodge our minds are horrible sometimes, especially when it feels so real! Does your dp know how you feel about his working late etc.?

Purpleball · 12/04/2015 17:54

Oh poor you Splodge. I've had some very weird dreams that have freaked me out since I've been pregnant.

Just been given a Sanctuary mum to be gift set from my godchildren Smile and lent a breastfeeding book by my BFF

Lemondrizzletwunt · 12/04/2015 18:14

Hi All!

So sorry to worry you, DH kidnapped me took me away camping and there was no signal to MN Sad

It appears I have the best part of a whole thread to catch up on, so will read tomorrow when I should be working

No post shall go unanswered

Flowers for all of you wondering where I was, though. In hindsight I wish I hadn't gone camping, I am now sunburnt and sore...

DulcetMoans · 12/04/2015 18:21

Not sure who made that up wil, first I had heard of it was them telling us it wasn't true. If you and chat are off to peppa pig world, let me and toast know, we are only down the road!

Did you get bacon tee? Hopefully without a foot in the rib!

Glad the bleeding has stopped daisy, get to EPU anyway though - just to get a better idea what is going on!

Horrible dream splodge but it's all pretend so try shake it. Weird what these bumps can do to the imagination. Mine had spiders in last night...Confused

So the MLU tour was good. The centre is really nice and seems really relaxed. You can see horses and cows from the birth rooms which is lovely, and it's right near a nice pub for if you get sent away or DH needs a pint! I think it would be my preference BUT there is always the concern that it's only good if your birth is straight forward. I really hope it will be but what if...? Are you going to see it toast? I recommend tying it in with lunch at the pub! Wink

Oh, and don't be misled into thinking it's all better in second trimester. You just trade it for new complaints! I am having a real dip in energy about 3pm each day and need a nap!

DulcetMoans · 12/04/2015 18:22

Yay lemon! I just shouted your name out loud in happiness at DH accidentally and had to try and explain why. He didn't get it.

Glad you're ok though!

Purpleball · 12/04/2015 18:33

That sounds lovely Dulcet. I've got a semi rural hospital to look forward to. No idea if there are any MLUs available but I'm not allowed one.

Lemon, I'm glad you're ok, I was a bit worried

mountaingirl01 · 12/04/2015 19:20

Great news daisy I hope 5hell is ok too?

Weirdly, I haven't been having crazy dreams yet I usually suffer from night terrors and walk and talk once hit dh really hard in my sleep, so maybe baby is sending me to a deeper sleep than usual, or maybe my poor body is just too tired.
Having said that, I can completely empathise with having horrible dreams splodge and how they can really mess with your mind. I once dreamed dh was having an affair (see above) and after waking up (to his confused yelling) it stuck with me for days.

Very jealous dulcet I will have to leave my lovely rural hideaway to go to the big (it's not really very big, just is to little cow field me) city to give birth - view of a busy road if I'm lucky. (There is no way I am having a home birth though!).

I concur with the 3pm nap needing. Although I went out on my bike this morning and therefore had to spend the whole of the rest of the day in bed. Only 2 hours sleep, 4 hours reading with the cat in bed, and a whole packet of maoam has made me feel human again!

splodge77 · 12/04/2015 19:45

Ah thanks for the kind words everybod. You guys rock. Yeah not much to be done about DP working late - he runs his own business with two others so is just desperately trying to get everything in order before babe arrives so that he can take 3 weeks off ... So I can't really be mad at him (for that or for leaving us in my dream - not really fair heh heh). MLU sounds great dulcet, I had DS in one & would go back but they won't have me as I'm apparently high risk this time. Boo.

RPopz · 12/04/2015 19:59

Glad you're back Lemon - I was wondering too!

I highly recommend the Bednest. They seem to do a special offer quite frequently so don't worry if you miss it. Ours was £99 for 6 months I think.

All quiet in here! What exciting things are you all up to??

WilHarlot · 12/04/2015 20:21

Glad you're ok Lemon.

Mountain I can't tell you how jealous I am of your afternoon in bed. I am so stressed out right now. They've been tag team yelling at me all day. I need a massage, a bottle of wine and 24 hours of peace.

mountaingirl01 · 12/04/2015 20:26

I've always thought I would have more than one child, but after learning how tiring pregnancy is ... I take my hat of to you wil and all you others being pregnant whilst having a toddler/having a small baby whilst having a toddler...

Fleurchamp · 12/04/2015 20:38

Thanks for the tip re bednest, I needed to get my arse into gear to order it and the news of an offer made me actually do it! So thanks again for the heads up.

Busy weekend here, bought a family friendly car Shock which we collect in 2 weeks and I have caught up with some very old and dear friends which was great. Shattered now though!

WilHarlot · 12/04/2015 21:07

Does one of you secretly work for the bednest company?! Wink They make a lot of money from viroids.

What car did you get Fleur? I would love one with a bigger boot but we can't afford it.

Thanks for sympathy Mountain. I actually didn't think I would find it as tough as I do. But then I found the pg quite hard this time so don't think I'm in the best frame of mind in general.

teejayem · 12/04/2015 21:23

Didn't get bacon, Mr tee did sausage bagels and then moaned how time consuming cooking is he has booked me an hour massage for my birthday, so he has slightly redeemed. Spent most of the afternoon out in the garden reading, until he decided he wanted to repair the decking, and out came the power tools Hmm
We went for the Snuzpod as oppose to the bed nest... Hopefully it'll do the job...
And horrendous dreams were my earliest symptom of pregnancy! That and the fiery biscuit tits, but the dreams were/are just horrid. I dreamt my mum's house was possessed by child sized dolls with their eyes burnt out, I woke up at 3am and was too scared to even get up for a wee. I was that disturbed by it I actually posted on FB about it, and then feeling funny anyway got a frer, and bang, there was my BFP. Some of the dreams have been really upsetting so I definately feel for you splodge - in the week I dreamt that Mr tee didn't want to be a dad anymore and I was distraught when I woke up and called him at work to make sure he hadn't changed his mind.
I'm off to sunny Sussex tomorrow to see one of my most lovely friends for lunch, I can't wait! I've not seen her since Christmas, and we are usually getting ready to go the U.S. at this time of year for our weather shenanigans, but neither of us are going this year so it will be really nice to spend some time with her. :)

PixieChops · 12/04/2015 21:34

La get your pelvis checked just in case it is SPD because if you have a natural birth and end up in stirrups (and dont mention your pelvis problems) it'll be even bloody worse in the long run! Hurts like a bitch! I had first hand experience of it unfortunately!
Anyone who can give me tips on how to not go completely insane for the first six months of DS life would be much appreciated. My now (nearly) 11 month old is about 2 weeks from walking I reckon and shes a bugger. Into absolutely everything and was kicking off before because I wouldn't give her a Jaffa cake or the remote for the telly (just like her dad Grin)
Glad you're ok Lemon, I bloody love camping, hoping I'll get to do some next year,-always wanted to get a cheap touring caravan, at least then I can take the babies too, otherwise I may just drag DP glamping. He's wanting to do a holiday next year on the ferry. Think he's expecting me to drive.... Ahahahaha!!! He's hilarious! He can't drive (yet) and is supposed to be doing some sort of crash course soon to try and get it sorted before I have this baby. Don't get how he's managed for so long without learning how to drive as he's self employed in home improvement!
With regards to horrible dreams of its any consolation I always dream that my OH has buggered off with someone else or that he's left me, I sometimes tell him if Ive had a bad dream but he just gets annoyed about it. He says he has the same dreams as me where I'm the harlot and he doesn't go on about it. Sometimes getting sympathy out of him is like getting blood out of a stone.
We've been illness free for about 5 days and now DD has got this awful dry cough which keeps waking her up at night. It's driving me nuts and I'm worried it may be asthma as I have got it and was diagnosed with it when I was 2. Taking her to the GP tomorrow to get her checked. I'm hoping it's just cold related however there's not much sign of a cold apart from this cough. I'll be devastated if she does have asthma as I don't know how I'll cope with it. My mum brought me up on her own and I had asthma and epilepsy. I'll probably never sleep again if DD goes the same way I did. I was always in and out of hospital. Hopefully though the meds are a lot more effective than they were in the late 80s/ early 90s.

Toast85 · 12/04/2015 22:45

Sounds good dulcet - yes we're going to have a tour at some point. No rush yet though. And yes to peppa pig world- I've never been but would be totally up for a gin-soaked day there.

Dreams were my very first preggo sign- probably less than a week after icing. They're still happening too, most nights. Some v disturbing (mass suicides- awful) others less so but still v real at the time.

Very sad to hear the 2nd trimester isn't all it's cracked up to be in the books. I was looking forward to that. Anyway, think things have improved tiredness-wise since 2 weeks ago when I was mega exhausted. Now I'm just knackered.

Nice to hear from you Lemon

LaLaLaaaa · 12/04/2015 22:54

Hey everyone! Almost end of Sunday - boo!

Mr La is still alive, although he had a thorough talking to! I have been promised more commitment to not smoking and less boozing. He wore his patches today.

Lemon so glad you're ok! We missed you.

Daisy - sounding good your end Smile hope it continues to be uneventful, def still get checked out if you are offered it.

5hell how are you?

We finally sold the spare bed today hooray! Meant we could then start painting the nursery. We've done 2 walls so far. Have to leave it to dry, move everything against those walks to paint the rest, the room is teeny! But it looks lovely and clean now, very pleased.

We've got a snuzpod. Bednest was too wide for our space by bed and also we are planning to have another baby after this so it's worth the investment. They sell on at good price 2nd hand. They are pretty much same thing though I think. I like that the top lifts off to become a carry cot.

JC cramping in early pg very normal - I had twisty stretchy pains particularly at night.

Splodge that doesn't sound fun :(. My dreams are very vivid during pg, some are very scary others very Blush racy!

Glad tour was good dulcet! Mine is in built up area so no pretty views.

2nd tri definitely easiest so far but I'm feeling more tired as I progress towards 3rd tri. Bump hurts if I stand too much. Did lots of stretching and bending today and im feeling it now!

Sorry you're finding it hard wil Flowers. I think it's safe to say many parents feel the same. You have two small children I think you're entitled to feel knackered and stressed sometimes.

Can anyone talk car seats? I was given cabriofix by friend but it's at least 5 years old and I've now read they have expiry recommendation of 5 years. So we've decided it's not worth the risk and to get new car seat. Looking at maxi cosi - cannot understand difference between cabriofix and pebble! Same age up to, same weight, both fit familyfix base. Why is pebble £50 dearer? What am I missing? I've read numerous reviews and still can't pinpoint the difference. We are going to buy familyfix base which fits our car so just need to decide which car seat.

Tee - I'm in Sussex! Wave at me :)

Dh has been funny today. It's just dawned on him he's going to have a child. He spent this evening listening all the games he's going to play with it and adventures they are going to have together. He's very excited :)

deeplybaffled · 12/04/2015 23:09

I was equally bemused by the pebble /cabriofix thing. Settled for the cabriofix on the basis that the pebble wasn't compatible with the buggy - only to subsequently change my mind about the buggy! So I'm no help.

Currently trying to work out what to do about breastfeeding / bottle feeding bit. Would like to try breastfeeding, but should you have bottles and steriliser ready in case? And do you need a pump? Am a bit mystified by it all - can any experienced viroids help?

i deny working for bednestSmile. Sounds better than current job in a lot of ways, though!

WilHarlot · 12/04/2015 23:56

www.buggybaby.co.uk/blog/?p=913

You'll have to copy and paste, sorry.

One main difference seems to be pebble is airline approved and other one isn't - might be handy to know if you're thinking of that holiday.

Deeply, I wouldn't buy too much stuff before having baby. No harm having a cheap microwave steriliser or some milton tablets and a couple of bottles on standby but it's easy to get stuff once baby is here. Handy to have if you want to express too. Although I bought a fancy new pump and she won't take a bottle so a total waste!

Pisghetti · 12/04/2015 23:58

I have the Cabriofix as it is compatible with the pram. Never worked out what was different about the pebble.....

Deeply you'll need a steriliser at some point in the first year so worth picking one up when you see a special offer. I have a pump (so far only used to try and instigate labour when I was overdue - making sure feeding is well established before I start expressing) and I have some storage pots for milk I can also fix teats to when we come to give her EBM. I was pretty confident I wouldn't need bottles (and reasoned there are 24hr supermarkets and Amazon next day delivery should my plans go awry for any reason).

There's a peppa pig world? Sounds like a place that you'd need gin Confused

X-post Wil waves

Trapped under a restless baby and not sure how to make the move to bed......

WilHarlot · 13/04/2015 05:58

In Dorset I think. MiniWil would love it but MrWil isn't good on long car journeys Wink .

Pis don't wait. Give the bottle. It won't interrupt feeding and otherwise you'll end up like me and unable to leave the baby.

minimooo · 13/04/2015 06:07

Morning viroids! I've been lying awake in bed for 2 hours now and finally admitted defeat, I don't think there's much chance of getting back to sleep now, ho hum. I'm really hungry but don't want to wake dh by getting up. Shall I risk it? I really want cheese on toast. Or dippy eggs, mmmm.

Sorry to hear about the scary dreams, some of those sound really horrid. I seem to just have really odd dreams and wake up confused.

Going to my nan's funeral today Sad Hope I can keep the hormones in check. Most adverts make me cry at the moment, so god knows how I'm going to keep my composure. It's not like we were particularly close (seeing my dad and his family is always really stressful and I try not to have contact with them, but would feel really bad if I didn't go.) Dh is being brilliant and hugely supportive about the whole thing though which makes it all so much easier.

pixie hope the docs can shed some light on the cough.

jc I second that cramping is very normal in first few weeks. Scary, but normal.

Glad you're ok lemon, good to have you back. Sorry to hear about sunburn/soreness though. Not much fun.

Hope the viroids with little ones got a good night's sleep last night.
