Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 25th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

The stats sheet will be linked to by our stats hero La (can't do on iPad sorry!)

So, roll call below please, viroids!

gaggia I think we must be food twins!

mountain tell me about it - I used to work in a&e too (as a non clinical person) and it never failed to amaze me how many people were neither an accident nor an emergency. I worked in mega busy departments so literally hundreds each weeks! As you will well know I'm sure. And the misuse of the hospital taxi ambulance service is frankly criminal. Unfortunately I'm not sure what the answer is as they would never be able to implement a system of charging people for misuse - these are the same people who get transport home provided because they apparently can't afford a bus of course and have no friends or family who can collect them of course. Maybe working in hospitals is where my unsympatheticness has come from!

Frozen peas are weird. But salad cream is great, especially with chips.

Great fred title Pis.

Name: Wil
Age:Over the hill 35
DC: Two very loud girls.

I am also v unsympathetic about illness but expect people to be super caring if I'm ill - although that's hardly ever. I pity my kids as I used to skive school all the time so am totally wise to it.

Mountain, I know two people who have Silver Crosses and hate them. What kind is it?

Report
willywallace · 31/03/2015 20:45

Pixie how long is the warranty on your Stokke? If it's two years then I re ckon you can price it quite high as they'll still be covered for repairs.

That makes me feel better wil I'm going to go with my gut and the britax.

Twice this evening I have had a vague 'pop' sensation in my general uterine area..so quick it was over before I thought about it...possible it's the bean?! Still pretty early at 15+5

I'm getting a Silver Cross Pioneer. I can't find one I like more so I've stopped looking.

Diabetic consultant is delighted with me. Last HBA1C is 5.7 which means I'm a normal person. Back there on 5th May.

Antenatal consultant was a disappointment. Full of doom and gloom about older mothers being high risk and having small babies. And diabetic mothers having big babies....I didn't point out that mine should be average then Smile
He's put me on aspirin to reduce the risk of blood clots Sad
I told him I want an ELCS but he's non committal. I realise it's too early but it's worrying me a lot. The thought of an induction is terrifying and I wanted him to tell me I don't have to have one.
I spent 2 hours in there, mostly hanging around and came out feeling totally deflated, got in the car and sobbed.

La, would you mind updating my scan dates, 12 week was 19/3 and 20 week is 5/5

I'll be having growth scans every 4 weeks after that. Oh and a scan of baby's heart about 18 weeks. Actually all the scans did cheer me up a bit

Mountain which silver cross is it? If it's the balmoral I'll buy it from them right now!

Ooh, excellent new Fred Pis

Name: Chat
Age: approaching retirement 33
DC: DD, 3.5 and cooking a child's lunch-box @28w today :)

Mountain get both. The silvercross will sell on if you don't get on with it...could well be the baby - first movements with DD felt like I was getting a text in my bladder.

I'm also pretty unsympathetic in the face of non-illnesses, as well as ambulance-calling time wasters. A decade or so in the NHS sorts out any residual undeserved sympathy Grin

Report
willywallace · 31/03/2015 20:59

Totally possible Mountain.

Aw that's rubbish it made you feel bad Purple but great about all the scans. Not slagging of Silver Crosses - have never tried one. Just some friends have found them cumbersome but not sure what models they had. I'm not much of a pram geek although interested to know which double you're getting Pixie?

OK La you are the stats Queen!! I have just noticed you devised your own formula to work out weeks plus days from the due dates...lol! Amazing. Star

Report
ChatEnOeuf · 31/03/2015 21:02

Aw Purple don't get upset. He has to be non-committal about things like that, it's far too early to set dates, and you may well labour naturally and normally. You should have told him that these things average out! Good diabetes control (which you clearly have) and generally looking after yourself tend to mitigate most age-related risk factors, aside from the chromosomal whatnots and the placenta's tendency to give up a bit earlier. And frankly, I'm planning on a due date induction if this one's not so keen as it's sister, I don't like the risks associated with going too far post dates. Aspirin is given out like smarties in pregnancy nowadays...

Thanks Chat I feel better now. Thanks Wil too Smile

If I'd met DH years ago I'd have got pregnant before the age of 40 and diabetes set in! It's our 3 year anniversary next week. In that time we've sold 2 houses and bought one, got married and got pregnant! Couldn't have done it any quicker really Smile

Hello new Fred. Poopsicle made me snigger!
36+1 today and starting to pack me hospital bag. I'm prob gonna go way OTT with what I put in but with DS I was stuck in for 9 days & Was totally unprepared. Hoping & praying for a much shorter stay this time.
I'm totally up there with being unsympathetic about man flu. Men are hopeless nursemaids when u r ill but then expect u to be Florence nightingale when they have a slight sniffle. Rubbish. Any of my fellow April buddies finding this last stretch tough going? I waddled down to the shops today & by time I got back my fanjo was killing me! Think I need to spend last few weeks of preg hanging upside down by my ankles like a bat!

Hello - just marking place. 17+5 and positively decrepit by medical standards as nearly 38 and this will be DC1.

Still not quite sure that any of this is real.....

splodge I felt like my general fanjo-pubic region was full of bricks every time I walked to the shops, I'd have been housebound by now if I hadn't already had the baby!

Ooooph splodge, I can totally sympathise. Am trying really hard to stay upbeat, but I'm so damn uncomfortable! My hip is killing me (pretty sure it's sciatica now) and I think baby is starting to engage because it feels like I've got a watermelon between my legs. I'm waddling everywhere and if I kneel down to pick something up it feels like a marathon to get back up again Confused

I'm in awe of anyone at this stage still working/commuting and anyone at this stage with kids already to look after! I will gladly join you in the hanging upside down.

Sorry, selfish rant over Blush

Not checked the guarantee Wil but that's something to look into definitely! Id have never have thought of that so thank you Smile in the case of the double buggy we were in the first instance looking at the Stokke Crusi with the sibling seat.. We read some reviews though and it looks crap, plus I don't like how one child will be pretty much on the floor! Think we are going to get the Icandy Peach 3 (I think it's that one) so that they can face each other and it's not super wide like a double buggy.
Anyway you're probably wondering why I'm up so early. I have in fact just vomited the entire width and breadth of my bathroom due to heartburn Confused feel much better now, been suffering since about 7:30pm! Unfortunately the heaving and splattering caused my DD to start screaming just as DP was being a knight in shining armour and was checking to see if I was ok. Well DP is self employed and if he doesn't work we don't eat so ive sent him downstairs to sleep on the sofa whilst I deal with the pest!

Report
willywallace · 01/04/2015 07:03

Oh no Pixie what an awful night! Does your DD generally sleep quite well? Is she starting to walk yet? It's hard carrying round a bigger baby all the time when pregnant.

Morning! Sorry you're feeling crap pixie and had a bad night :(. Can you get some rest today?

I finished work at 9pm last night and got home at 11:45pm. Knackered. Going in at 10 today. Great day at training but I'm broken. In office today to prep for tomorrow then up early again tomorrow to drive down for the final day. They are enjoying it at least so that's something!

Anyone else get what feels like bruising at top of bump? As if I've been punched or hit it. It's where the abdominal muscles would be if I had any if you could see them

Also my feet are throbbing! So much time standing up has taken its toll on my legs and feet. Ouchy.

I haven't read through yesterday but will do ASAP. Love new Fred!

Oh yeah my stats!

Name: la
Age: geriatric apparently 34
DCs: incubating wiggly DS1 who has been a star the last few days and caused me no problems even though I've been rushing about stressed so I'm giving him a smily face and a gold star for behaviour
Due: July 14th

I'll sort all stats requests today but you should be able to edit it yourself if the link is the right one. Also not taking credit for formula I nicked it from July group spreadsheet

Grin

Shattered. Going to lie with face planted in pillow a big longer

I'm perfectly fine albeit shattered and my throat still hurts. Haha Stokke might be more upmarket but I'm certainly not! Managed to put pest (DD) down at 5am and just woken up now. Now I have to go and be poked and prodded with numerous injections and see the midwife.. No way am I missing this appointment, I need industrial strength heartburn remedies! I think DD would've slept straight through if my hurling hadn't of woken her up. Her and DP are still asleep now (in cot or on sofa). I text my mum in the early hours of this morning begging for her to take DD earlier than 5pm today so I can get some kip. DD is on a sleep over tonight at my parents so I can get my hair sorted out. My roots are horrendous and Ive got the ombré going on but it's upside down.. Goes from blonde to darkest brown.. Sooooo not a good look! So my friends mum who is a mobile hairdresser is sorting out my hair this evening and I'm so looking forward to it! I'm going back blonde (dark) and getting my hair all stripped and highlighted, nicely cut with a fringe put back in. Again I am NOT missing that appointment either. Even if I have to prop my head up on the dining table and have a snooze whilst she does it, I don't care!
