Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 25th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

The stats sheet will be linked to by our stats hero La (can't do on iPad sorry!)

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Ha ha ha merkin on baby head!!!

My dm just told me I need to watch obem from last night because 'the woman is you!'. Apparently she was a control freak, stating exactly what she wanted. I don't know what she means... Blush

Survived live radio. Blethered on a bit, but got my point across hooray!

I've no idea which animals are in toilets! They just randomly asked me about it! Definitely wasn't prepared for that one Shock

My cat stayed by my side for a week when I had mc - he definitely knew. And with this pg the two of them come and sit on the bump - or lay their heads on it. It's very cute :)

Strangely when I was doing reptile training the snakes kept wanting to go towards me. I think it's coz they can feel second heartbeat plus I'll be warmer than other people. Bet that freaks some of you out! Grin

I'm planning on a spruce up just before due date down there. Want to look my best for the big day!

gaggiagirl · 08/04/2015 18:05

pixie I'm a weekend widow too for 'the season' luckily the season is over til October.......hang on....I'm due to have a baby in October! Hmmmmm.

Fleurchamp · 08/04/2015 18:09

Thanks kato I think I have just spent £50 on a sheep and a blanket Confused not sure DH will be too pleased about that Grin

LaLaLaaaa · 08/04/2015 18:10

Kato I usually go every 4-6 weeks for foof wax.

Pixie - men are shite sometimes! Mine is being good and seems to have read a book on the right things to say to preggers women. But colleague who's a week behind me says her dh won't even touch bump because he 'finds it gross'. She's really upset poor love

Where are you lemon? Are you ok?

Candy Ewan is a sheep who glows and plays sounds like womb, meant to help get baby to sleep. Grads have had varying degrees of success with him! Some babies appear to prefer hair dryers, white noise and hoovers

Toast85 · 08/04/2015 18:10

Dulcet- yes she's due in a couple of months. Not too worried really, I'm telling everyone next week as long as all good at tomorrow's scan (eek!)
I guess 8 mins is right for the MLU to hospital with sirens et al in light traffic, but that road into town can be v heavy traffic in rush hour times. I asked about it and the mw was trying to be v reassuring about how good they are at spotting potential problems before they become emergencies etc, but I can't help feeling I won't relax knowing that I'd need to get an ambulance in order to get all the help if it's needed. Whereas at hospital the doctors, theatre, neonates unit etc are all on site if required.
Still, I know I have some work to do to get myself into the right frame of mind that birth is normal and natural and not necessarily a medical procedure, and I (hopefully) won't be an unwell patient, I will be a healthy woman doing something that millions of others have done before.

Oh and I've never found an animal in my toilet. But we used to have a few fish and DH would flush them when they died- I hated doing that as I was convinced they'd pop back up again next time I went!

Fleurchamp · 08/04/2015 18:12

Thanks la I am now petrified that I am a snake magnet Shock

LaLaLaaaa · 08/04/2015 18:20

Purple I realised from July thread that not everyone gets to hear hb at 16 weeks. I did but apparently it depends on practice.

If you were nearby I'd lend you my Doppler!

DulcetMoans · 08/04/2015 18:25

Ok so no more trips to the zoo! Except we have annual passes so seems a waste. Maybe no more trips to the snake bit. One wrapped itself round my wrist once when we held it on the Isle of Wight. It probably wasn't as big a deal as I remember it being at the time!

I know, it's in my mind too toast. I really like the sound of the MLU but it's just that thought of being that far away. Still, going to look at it.

Thanks for the tip kato, shall be browsing tonight!

Was going to say the same as zyla about aspirin purple. Same reason you get it after recurrent miscarriage too - thins the blood. You should only take it if prescribed so if Dr has advised you should be ok. If you trust the Dr!

That is a bit bad pixie, can he take a step back nearer the time maybe?

Purpleball · 08/04/2015 18:46

I need a Ewen, must add to wish list.

Thanks for the reassurance Smile I still think DoomDoc should have told me about the risks and not just prescribed it

Pisghetti · 08/04/2015 19:53

Congrats JC!

Balls I've already bought a full price Ewan Angry BabyPis is undecided on him. She loves the hairdryer. She is sleeping peacefully on me for the first time today but has done a massive shit. Bit torn about what to do for the best!

DP has a snake. I have nothing to do with her.

TheBooMonster · 08/04/2015 20:33

purple if you can try borrowing a Ewan before you splash out, DD1 loved him but DD2 won't give him the time of day!

WilHarlot · 08/04/2015 20:51

I didn't get to hear hb for ages Purple Over 20 weeks.

What's your opinion in zoos La?

mountaingirl01 · 08/04/2015 21:03

Low dose aspirin will be fine purple. Benefits massively out weigh the potential risks. I wasn't allowed to listen to heartbeat at 16w

Toast85 · 08/04/2015 21:05

DH has a friend with a 12 ft python, absolutely flippin massive. Yes - it's 12 ft long!!

Toast85 · 08/04/2015 21:09

Oh- I had opportunity to try to listen for hb at booking in! 10+2! Didn't hear anything, but mw did prepare me that that was the most likely outcome. I'm surprised she even offered!

Purpleball · 08/04/2015 21:20

Thanks Smile I need to calm the fk down

LaLaLaaaa · 08/04/2015 21:23

Wil it depends on the zoo. Some are horrendous, some better. Some look aesthetically good to the public but if you look into their practices the way they look after the animals, the way they are breeding or the way they are not carrying out proper conservation work the way they are legally meant to be is not good. I was a keeper for a bit and saw both good and bad.

Things like the pandas at Edinburgh do my head in - it's completely finance focused, the projects got nothing to do with conservation or animal welfare. Meanwhile the same zoo does fantastic conservation work on penguins, other birds and some mammal species.

I try not to visit zoos for pleasure as I don't get much pleasure out of it. I'd rather save my money up to visit the animals in their natural environment.

splodge77 · 08/04/2015 21:28

thought I'd post a pic of my somewhat terrifying 36+2 bump. Heeeeelp!

splodge77 · 08/04/2015 21:31

sorry, that's 37+2. eek! can't even keep track. bye bye brain.

LaLaLaaaa · 08/04/2015 21:44
