Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 25th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 42nd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

The stats sheet will be linked to by our stats hero La (can't do on iPad sorry!)

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Welcome to Daisy and the new viroid on getting upduffed! Hope you other ladies hear positive news soon.
Ive been to chester zoo today, pretty sure I should've stayed in bed. I'm exhausted and dehydrated.. Surely when you wipe after a wee it shouldn't leave a brown Mark! It's not blood it's definitely wee. Tried drinking more today but just feeling washed out. Can't wait to have tea and put DD down so I can throw on some PJs and have a nap.

Fleurchamp · 04/04/2015 17:42

Aww babypis is gorgeous! I am inheriting a sleepyhead from my sister. Any advice on how to clean it? I will get a new cover in any event.

Hope everyone is well, I am having a very lazy weekend at my mother in law's being looked after with plenty of chocolate and cake Easter Grin

My bump has really popped out in the last few days, it feels really stretched at the bottom of my stomach, keeping fingers crossed for no stretch marks. I am also getting some lower back pain but I find yoga moves really helpful.
Will post a pic on FB later if I remember!

Has anyone bought a support? Have been thinking about the Cantaloop band, any advice?

Aww lil will keep my gingers crossed for you. I am useless at detecting anything on those sticks, it took me 3 tests to be convinced about my own BFP.

Hope all of you have a lovely Easter xx

willywallace · 04/04/2015 18:00

Oh yes welcome newbies and congratulations!

Fleur I got a free support belt from the physio if you can be arsed to make an appointment?

Purpleball · 04/04/2015 18:28

Awww babypis is gorgeous. I like the pillow too. I'll be glad when they put photos on the app. I keep missing things!

The clevacushion is more a prop like a beanbag than a nest

teejayem · 04/04/2015 19:44

Aw pis she looks positively angelic! We bought a poddle pod - you can't use it for night sleeps though but Mr tee's logic is as follows: place tiny tee in Cocoonababy wrap with handles. Place baby in poddlepod until snooze, then move baby into Snuzpod once sleep achieved.
He is in for a shock..... Grin

Not sure if it's the damp or the "gentle" woodland walk we did earlier but I feel fucked! I just ironed a few things for tonight (have a party to go to) and I seem to have regressed back to not being able to make one foot move in front of the other. And I'm driving! Eeeek! My bump feels SO heavy at the moment, he's so far out in front I feel like I need to put hazard lights on him.

Welcome daisy you have entered the world of the poo talkers!

Have all fingers crossed for you lil xx

LaLaLaaaa · 04/04/2015 20:07

Hi y'all!

toast congrats on your 12 week landmark! Hooray! When's your scan?

lil gx for testing whenever you're ready - do you have a frer at the ready?

bat I was just at confused when I started!

pis she is soooo gorgeous! Did you ever tell us what you decided to call her? No worries if you'd rather keep it private, I just wondered if I'd missed it :)

My friend uses a similar baby bed that tricks baby into thinking it is being held. Hers sleeps really well in it.

Had a great day at the rehoming day - a few ponies were reserved which is lovely, including two that had had an awful background. It's so lovely to see them finding new and loving homes. The kids (and adults) loved my cakes - we made a bit of money on them which was lovely and I sold a lot of tack in the sale.

I've noticed though that if I do a lot and feel tired then my back hurts and my bump goes tight and sore at the bottom. I was at the bus stop and tried to stand up and my bump hurt so much underneath, like it was contracting. Is this Braxton Hicks? If not then I'm not sure I've had any. It's only in evening or when I get tired. fleur I'm going to get a bump support band because it's meant to help with backache.

I popped into town on way home and went to the baby shop. I spoke to the lady about slings and she showed me how to tie a caboo. There was one on sale because it was a return due to a frayed cord (which can just be cut off) so I decided it was worth buying as I got £20 off normal price! I'm going to look for an ergo online 2nd hand.

ness I would have loved that chair but unfortunately my nursery is also too small - I'm going to get the ikea one.

LaLaLaaaa · 04/04/2015 20:11

Oh and I'm annoyed - after phoning midwife to say that my hip was hurting and I suspected that my hip dysplasia is making a return (as it does if I'm tired or put on weight) they seem to have assumed it's pelvic girdle pain. So instead of the physio referral I was promised I've got an appointment to join a 'class about managing pelvic girdle pain'.

It annoys me because I checked with my fitness instructor on Wed (who is used to teaching antenatal and is au fait with the various common conditions that preggers women get) she agreed with me that it's more like hip dysplasia than SPD.

So I'm going to have to phone them and say no I think I should get an assessment because Im not sure they are right. They've just guessed!

Pisghetti · 04/04/2015 20:25

Fleur I believe it can all be machine washed. At least I read a review that said it could all be machine washed!

Tee I went for this one because it can be used overnight - it's the transfer from arms to basket/cot that usually wakes her up so the idea is feed, into sleepyhead, maintain cuddle hold, gently transfer, continue cuddling hunched over cot until she stops opening one eye to check you're not up to something funny, gradually release, lights out, sleep. In reality after lights out I did: lie down absolutely wide awake, start to feel a glimmer of hope, hear grunting noise, realise with a sinking heart that she did a sneaky check and found you'd had the audacity to put her down, await outraged cry..... The other deciding factor is that it can be used for co sleeping if that's what she insists on. She's been ending up under the duvet which is not good so one night we put her basket mattress on top of the duvet to keep her there and she kept rolling off. So something that keeps her safe will be a bonus.

Is it for feeding purple? I've brought the dream genii back into service as a feeding support. My posture (particularly at night) has been appalling but with the extra support under her I can keep my back straighter.

La I thought I had posted it on FB? Will check now and post it if I haven't. My mental faculties are slowly returning but not back to full strength yet -forgot my dad's birthday this week Shock Smile

Oh and she's got you all fooled - not so angelic when she's yelling at me for being a bit slow getting the boob out at 2am Wink

Thanks la, scan is Thursday! All being well I will post pics on Facebook. Speaking of which can someone confirm that my fb friends will all be totally oblivious to the fact that I've joined the grads group? (Just like the undergrads one?) News is not 'out' in RL yet.
Oh you lot are boggling my brain with talk of fancy sleep equipment.. Where does one even begin to work out what one will need for their sproglet?

gaggiagirl · 04/04/2015 20:52

toast just like the other groups its totally private.

Toast85 · 04/04/2015 20:53

Thanks gaggia I shall get posting!

Pisghetti · 04/04/2015 21:10

Toast You buy according to what you think you'll need then said sproglet is born and you realise they have very different ideas Shock Grin

Welcome and congrats to newbies!

Good going with the rehoming day la! Sorry to hear about the hip dysplasia stuff - sounds painful. And Angry to pita health professionals making assumptions. The under-bump pain might be round ligament pain?

pis babypis is absolutely adorable! I've heard a few people recommend the sleepy head...wondering whether to get one myself.

I had an eventful day yesterday. I realised that miniminimoo hadn't been very alert all day (and was quiet the day before too) so we went to the hospital to be monitored. Baby was a bit sleepy at first so they got me to lie on my left and she woke up and started kicking the monitors! Trace showed everything was normal and she started moving around more normally - so relieved! The trace also showed that I'm having irregular tightenings which is quite exciting. I thought it was her just stretching, but nope she's getting ready for the big day!

minimooo · 04/04/2015 21:28

Oh and I was going to say that I loved the photos of the nursery tee! Dh loved it too. We're just starting to clear and paint ours now (left it a bit late Confused)

Purpleball · 04/04/2015 21:30

I have no idea what to buy, I'm just paying attention to you all and seeing what we are given

PixieChops · 04/04/2015 21:39

With my first we just got bought so much stuff that we didn't even use it all. I'm due in June again and we haven't even bought so much as a sleepsuit for the little man yet. I did have a baby shower last time as well but think I'm pushing my luck if I have another for this one considering there's only 13 months between the 2 babies and DDs birthday is in May ?? Does anyone have baby showers or is it more an American thing?

willywallace · 04/04/2015 21:44

Ask La for 'The List' ladies. She knows what you need to buy!

Glad all ok Mini.

Anyone know of a device which plays white noise but for longer than half an hour like the sheep thing? Sick of not being able to use my phone when MicroWil is napping and the ipad is too big. If it turns off after 20 mins, she'll wake up.

Toast85 · 04/04/2015 21:45

I've been to a few baby showers and know lots of colleagues who have had them, but as far as I know not on the scale of the American ones. We made a 'nappy cake' for my friend's baby shower last year, that was fun to do, if a little unnecessary, and did feel a bit OTT and american-ish, but I think my friend appreciated it.

willywallace · 04/04/2015 21:45

Also La, why aren't your hips fixed after the harness? Did they do follow up checks on you?

DulcetMoans · 04/04/2015 22:06

wil my friend found a video of hair dryer that was couple hours long on YouTube that she uses for the sleep noises.

I think baby showers are a bit American but getting more common over here pixie.

Is your midwife quite understanding la, if you tell her that? Well done on the horse charity things!

Great name pis! Need to get on the web to see the photo now!

LaLaLaaaa · 04/04/2015 22:12

Hi so these things I'm feeling are not tonis? I wonder if I'll get them at any point then.

wil I know you're concerned that I'm talking about hip dysplasia and obviously your LO is going through treatment just now. Please be reassured that after splint I was absolutely fine. My hip socket is shallow which is why I had more problems when I reached my teen growth spurt and I exacerbated it with horse riding. I then went to dr in my teens coz it was clicking and they x rayed it and said the key was doing exercise to build up the muscle(?) around hip socket. It was that or an operation to build up the socket. The exercise worked and I've not had any further problems (even when horse riding daily) until now. I think the extra weight I'm carrying, plus lack if exercise, has caused this. My hip is rolling out of joint when I move certain ways, same as in my teens.

It could still be SPD but I just don't think so because it's only in one hip and not across pelvis, and I've had it before.

Mini so glad micromini is ok :) if mines quiet I lie on left too and he wakes up. How are you feeling?

I'm baffled by all the baby choices but I've settled on what we are getting now so that's sorted. My sil lives in USA and is having a baby shower. I've been to 2 before and they were fun - just cakes and presents. I want to have a pre baby get together of friends but not a baby shower as I feel like I don't want people to feel they have to bring a present. I just want to see my friends!

minimooo · 04/04/2015 23:43

Yeah good thanks la. Wildly veering between feeling really impatient for her to arrive and feeling panicky that things aren't quite ready for her yet!

I think that tonis are usually painless. They feel like a tightening across whole of the abdomen (mine go right up to the bottom of my ribs, but not sure if that's just because I'm a shortarse!) Only way I can describe it is like a cramp but without the pain - just uncomfortable. Not sure I'm explaining that very well?

KatoPotato · 04/04/2015 23:55

Awww, hey lil good to see you! And welcome Daisy

Spent the day getting out ds1's 0-3 months clothes to sort so my mum could take away and re-launder and it sent me into such a hormonal state that I spent from about 4-6 crying and DH had to cancel dinner plans... Oh dear.

Fell asleep about 9 there and now wide awake.

pis your DD is beautiful x

Pisghetti · 05/04/2015 00:43

Do you have an analogue radio Wil? We use the radio in the car between stations - works a treat.
