Elio- I think a lot of people had a cheap one from Argos and really liked it. I haven't started using mine yet but found it really helped last time. I've started with painful hips at night, have to turn from one side to the other to ease the uncomfortableness (think I just made that word up!).
Bonzo and Ovum good luck with tomorrow's scans and ovum glad you're being seen, hope you get an answer.

Snowflake15 · 26/04/2015 21:35

elio I have the Argos one discussed before on here, got it half price at £7 but it might be back to full price now. It's very handy for keeping me off my front

Treaclepie19 · 26/04/2015 21:36

Glad all was ok elio :)

Good luck with your scan ovum, hope all is ok.

Ambient ive really not felt anything. 19+1 today and only felt a couple of times something that might be baby or might be normal twinges.
My scan isn't til the 11th May. Such a long wait!

I got the Argos body pillow as well and it's brilliant :)

sauvblanc21 · 26/04/2015 22:40

I can also highly recommend Argos pillow - it's dreamy. Hubbo and I call it The Giant Penguin as it's so big but I love it (and I've caught him snuggling it too!).

Jessica yes coffee is a brill idea Smile sorry been away all weekend so just catching up! We're away for next coupla weekends too but praps after 20 week scans? (I'm 18+1 today.) There were more Bristol girls but maybe they've moved to Facebook? Xx

Stanway · 26/04/2015 22:40

I forked out for the DreamGenii and it's been worth every penny.

ovumahead · 26/04/2015 23:13

All went well at the hospital. They were very thorough (once I'd realised I needed to tell them I was there rather than just sitting in the corridor like a prat). They had a good look around, it was all rather glamorous with a nurse holding an RAC torch while the doctor had a rummage... Haha. Love the NHS. Listened to baby's heart beat which was lovely. They think it's a uti so been given antibiotics. Still getting loads of weird twinges and stuff but no more bleeding - Phew. Scan in morning at 10am..!

Snowflake15 · 27/04/2015 07:36

Good to hear ovum good luck everyone with scans today! 9 days til mine can't wait then I can finally tell workSmile

Boodlymummy · 27/04/2015 08:31

I've got the Argos pillow, v cosy to snuggle into and helps me sleep on my side,as am usually a front sleeper. Last few days I've been getting hip aches which wake me up in the night, so I think I need to try a towel or pillow tucked under my bump as well.

Hare5260 · 27/04/2015 09:06

Good luck everyone with scans today.
Actually felt baby move with my hand on my belly last night, so exciting!!

Choccyhobnob · 27/04/2015 11:43

Hare I can't wait until that day! I was feeling so much movement (I think!) between 16 and 18+5 (when I had my gender scan) but for the last week I've hardly felt anything! When I do think I feel something big I immediately put my hand there but all I can feel is the really strong pulse in my hand/fingers and my stomach! It feels like my whole body has a pulse at the minute! Still got 2 weeks til my 20 week scan Sad

19+6

Jessica32 · 27/04/2015 12:14

sauv if I can work out how I will private message you with my mob number so you can txt and we can arrange something for after the scans (I'm 19 w today). I'm not on Facebook so if you are and in the group maybe you could suggest coffee on there.

bonzo77 · 27/04/2015 12:58

20 wk scan, well actually 19+4. All appeared normal. And it's a boy, to add to the 2 we already have. DM was a bit disappointed, twat. But for us it's for the best really. Firstly DH carries and therefore can pass on BRCA2, which is less serious in men than women. And our boys will find it easier I think. DH is the oldest of 3, middle child is a brother and youngest a sister. There's a very toxic dynamic there which worries him, though I did explain that we probably would not repeat his parents' crappy parenting!

monkeymoonpig · 27/04/2015 15:12

Stanway couldnt agree more - i love my dteamgenii when i can steal it back off 3yr old DS
Also had less movements felt however scan on Friday showed that babba is really really low down, so i suspect that is why also prob hiding from the tantrum shouting off DS lol they're definitely on my bladder most of the time which isnt marvellous Confused

Whatabout · 27/04/2015 17:14

Twenty week scan today, need to go back to look at heart and upper limbs as they can't see anything properly today due to bsby being awkward. Did see it's a boy though!

I have placenta praevia, anyone else? I havd consultant next week for something else so will talk to her about it. Scan at 32 weeks to check things out.

Nice to hear of so many positive scans!

ovumahead · 27/04/2015 18:59

Scan all done. Pics in Facebook! Not sure how to put pics on here... Think I might have done it...! Everything seemed good at the scan, the sonographer was very thorough which was anxiety inducing at the time but also reassuring. So relieved especially after the stress of the last few days...

Maths88 · 27/04/2015 19:11

Glad everything went well ovum! Must be such a relief after the past few days!

I'm fairly certain I just felt my first proper movement! It was such an amazing moment that I cried! The anxiety of waiting for my 20 week scan has been so tough and this has made it much better!

Scan tomorrow lunchtime and I cannot believe it's finally here!

Sorry I've fallen off the thread a bit everything as been hectic with work and house buying but looks like we should be moved in middle of July.

Came back yesterday after weekend away to no hot water and as its a public holiday here it's not getting fixed til tomorrow! Dh made me a bath with lots of kettles and saucepans bless him!

Anyone else got scans tomorrow? Can't believe I'm 20+2 now!

misssmilla1 · 27/04/2015 19:33

I've been off the radar on holiday for a couple of weeks, so it's exciting to see the updates and scans from everyone!

My 20 week is next Monday and I'm v excited, altho not as much as my mum who was nearly bursting with the anticipation of it all when I visited last week; she's been monitoring the size of my bump and seemed pleased to announce after a week staying with her that I now looked 'definitely pregnant' (like it was just fat before Hmm)

LittleSesameSeed · 27/04/2015 20:16

Hi everyone x I've been over on Facebook and forgotten completely about mn! 20 week scan went really well still can't believe I'm over half way seems to be flying by!

Sauvblanc and Jessica- I'm a bristol girl! If you do arrange something it would be lovely to join you- I would have a 18 month in tow tho! X

ditzzy · 28/04/2015 06:47

Whatabout - I have placenta previa too! I'm trying not to worry about it yet just carrying my notes everywhere now and have alerted a couple of people in the office. I was told that if I see any sign of any blood to get straight to the nearest hospital... (Also told that it's unlikely before 24/28 weeks but better to be on the safe side and make sure people know not to hang around if I ask for help!)

I started a thread on the pregnancy topic when I first found out and the replies were quite reassuring (90% move by 32 weeks etc) but I have enough risk factors already without collecting more at every appointment!!

Mrseb28 · 28/04/2015 07:31

Just wanted to pop on and check in. Loving the scan pics can't wait for my 20w. Wondering if anyone from north east?
Not really getting much time to log on with a demanding 2yo and DH working away.
Off for physio again this morn to help with back and pelvis probs. does anyone else not enjoy being pregnant? I'm fed up already and can't wait for baby! Confused

DeladionInch · 28/04/2015 07:37
Brew

2 days to scan here!

lovesmycake · 28/04/2015 07:56

Mrseb I hate being pregnant, I was the same last time on the plus side I was never really stressed about going into labour because that meant I would finally not be pregnant!! This time I am just so exhausted all the time I also have a 2yo and suspect that might have something to do with it.

Cornberry · 28/04/2015 08:43

mrseb I hate being pregnant. Still really sick and vomiting at 22+5 and giving up hope if it passing. Still signed off work and still unable to resume normal life. Sad to say being pregnant has been one of the worst experiences of my life :( pregnancy seems to have affected me as if it were an illness. Same as lovesmycake I'm actually looking forward to giving birth so it will finally be over!
