Haha bean cause Heidi is so similar to Luna and Juno! :p I love those names, very unique and pretty! Oooh a week to go!!! I can imagine time going really slow when you know he exact date!!!

Baby is really low today, it's almost like a permanent fanny dagger. I feel like her head is really pushing down! Ouch! Got friends coming over to celebrate my bday that was a few days ago so I might just stay on the sofa til then ha!

How is everyone else's day going?

Hope you get to go home today turquoise :)

Chookford · 24/04/2015 14:58

turquoise hope you get home today...

longest I will be around here too, taking to others going through what you are when you are really helps after baby arrives!

I am never moving again it's so bloody tiring!! I know being 36wks pregnant makes it harder but Jesus I'm amazed at the amount of crap I had in a two bed flat! It's ludicrous!

Hope everyone has a lovely Friday, and we have some more lovely babies arriving over the weekend! Grin

longestlurkerever · 24/04/2015 15:00

Maybe we don't actually need a separate thread for post-natal? We're nearly at the end of this one so the next one will be "more babies arriving" and by the end will have turned into the post-natal thread.

applecore0317 · 24/04/2015 15:17

Belated Happy Birthday Leanne

Just a week to go bean wow these babies are coming quick :)

Apparently Heidi is Juno and Luna spelt backwards... didn't you know? It's pretty obvious... Wink

applecore0317 · 24/04/2015 15:18

chook It's amazing isn't it, we had so much when we moved out of our two bed flat, and that was after we had had a ruthless clear out

Chookford · 24/04/2015 18:16

apple yes, I threw away so much I thought I was doing really well I couldn't belive the amount we still had! I honestly don't know where it all fitted!

Kyz · 24/04/2015 21:00

Evening everyone :) Hope you're all well :)

apple I think it would be sometimes! When I have time for a 'proper' reply I have two tabs open on my laptop for the thread and I reply on one and use the other for reading, it's the only wat I manage to remember everything!

glad leo is doing well mum, hope his jaundice clears up soon :)

smiley I have found the birthing ball to be quite good to stretch my abdomen out and give baby a bit more room, he's usually got his feet/bum right under my ribs and I often feel like I can't take a deep enough breath, it's very uncomfortable! I just got a gym ball, 65cm one from sports direct for about £6. Also, lying on my side after a freezing cold drink can shift him.

lol bless you jenni!

congratulations jessi, beautiful photos - she is gorgeous!! :) I love her name, and I bet her big brother will be watching over her and very excited just like Ava is :)

blondie this is baby number 2 for me and he is head down and has been for ages but is still 'free' they keep saying. Baby 1 was engaged for aaaaages it felt like!

hope you get home soon turquoise

sending hugs lina

it is nice to keep these threads going - the nov 12 group is still going though much quieter these days than it used to be - we're still pretty active on facebook though! I have made friends in my group and feel like I 'know' some of the people on there despite having never met them!

belated happy birthday leanne

what is everyone doing over the weekend? It's my baby sisters 2nd birthday tomorrow, and we're going to the zoo. I am looking forward to it and also feeling a bit crackers at the thought of waddling round uncomfortably looking like an escaped hippo! Hope you all have good weekends anyway, if I don't get on before, I shall be back next week :)

leanne963 · 25/04/2015 03:44

Thank you apple and kyz :)

I cannot sleep for the life of me, as I was moving in bed earlier on i shifted something in my lower right back, now it just really hurts :( brain is fully awake too! Argh!!!

TwinkleTee · 25/04/2015 06:05

Same here Leanne !

Been awake since 5am, brain going a hundred miles an hour. Started making lists at 5.30 of things to do. Now I've just given up and got up to eat cereal and mooch about on t'internet...

Hope your back stops hurting soon

applecore0317 · 25/04/2015 06:52

Hope you have a good day at the zoo kyz

leanne hope you managed to get back to sleep, my back is sore too all accross the middle, been awake on and off since three... that's when DH got in from his works do. He fell out of the bed at four, checked he was ok before I laughed obviously Grin

Twinkle impressed you were making lists, my brain won't function that early

My feet are swollen, it's the first time rhis has happened. Thought I had avoided any water retention as I drink so much of the stuff. Rang the midwife last night just to check it's normal and she confirmed that it is and to only worry if I get blurred vision and or headaches.

Chookford · 25/04/2015 07:14

I've been awake since 5.30am too, my body just seems to wake me up now around that time and that's it I'm awake and up pottering downstairs... I miss sleep!!

leanne happy belated birthday, sorry to hear your back is playing you up, hope it has eased off now..

apple haha to your dh falling out of bed! Hope your swelling goes down soon, just think we are almost there now just a few more weeks!

kyz hope you have a lovely day at the zoo, and your little sis enjoys her bday

It's miserable weather here, I'm really hoping it warms up a bit later I need my dd out of the house so I can get some more unpacking done! Grin

applecore0317 · 25/04/2015 07:25

Fingers crossed the weather gets better for you chook and you can get some unpacking done. Is there a lot to unpack?

I also miss sleep, although I am getting pretty good at napping :D

Seems to be a morning for falling, the cat fell off the roof when she was hanging off it to get to our window and meow at it to be let in... she's fine, and hopefully won't be doing that again Hmm

Scottishgal78 · 25/04/2015 08:50

Apple I suffers with the dreaded cankles for about a week recently. Keep them raised as much as you can especially when sleeping and they'll come down.

KittyVonCatsington · 25/04/2015 08:56

We are destined to never sleep properly again!! Sad

Rainy weather here too today so may just hibernate. Won't be fun going to the zoo in the rain though Kyz- you have my sympathy!

Boo to swelling apple -how rotten!

Make sure you have some rest today Chook!!

applecore0317 · 25/04/2015 09:01

Thanks scottish will give it a go :D

Ha ha kitty very true, I bought this yesterday as a bit of a silly thing

www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00V6GU4O4

Chookford · 25/04/2015 11:23

apple to be fair there isn't too much left to unbox now, it is just making all the flat pack stuff it's taking an age but my dh is doing so well bless him!

kitty I will, I'm not doing much now just making tea and things!

Titsalinabumsquash · 25/04/2015 13:58

Good afternoon ladies, sorry I've been so rubbish keeping up with you all, I feel like I've been hit by a bus since Olivia was born, I was hoping to feel better post birth like I did with the others but apparently no such luck, i have gained a lovely big bum grape that hurts like hell and every time I walk it feels like my insides are fighting to become my outsides, classy or what?! WinkBlush

Olivia is perfect though, I've fallen in love with her very much, she does nothing but sleep, I'm still having to wake her for feeding but the rest of the time she's content to snuggle up and snooze.

She has a whopping great vascular birth mark on her forehead, I'm hoping it fades as she gets older, it's in a 'V' shape and it's purple, I'd hate for her to get stared at because of it, I'm told they're called angel kisses and they usually fade significantly over the first year.

OP posts:
Scottishgal78 · 25/04/2015 14:38

Aw angel kisses. I'm sure it'll fade and if not that's what fringes r for! I have a massive forehead and my DM always told I 'suited a fringe'. As an adult I now realise she was trying to hide a not so nice feature of mineGrin

applecore0317 · 25/04/2015 16:59

Aww sorry about the grape tits hope it clears soon and you can be comfy again. Have you been prescribed anything?

Glad that you've got a content little girl there, my friends little girl had a birth mark on her nose, it's pretty much all gone now :) didn't detract from her cuteness though

leanne963 · 25/04/2015 18:32

Twinkle haha i had a bowl of cereal too, i thought it was a crime to be so awake and not eat :P

apple Aw no, sorry your back is hurting too! I had an hours sleep from 6 - 7, feel so tired now but trying to plough through til 10!

Thanks chook :D Back is def a bit better now, its so hard with all this extra weight ha!

Aww sorry about the grapes tits Olivia is a good sleeper? That is brilliant! Angel kisses is such a cute word for birth mark, i like that :)

So my American friend (and her husband) who is staying with me for 5 nights when she comes over beginning of July is telling me that 'Mums are only exhausted for the first two weeks, after that the baby gets into a pattern' so on these expectations has told us that we should go to the local pub one night for food while she is here and maybe visit stone henge and cornwall is only 2 hours away.........
Yeah, i don't this she realises how tired we will be with a 6 week old. I am kind of dreading being a host for 5 nights especially since she thinks i will be getting lots of sleep with a baby in a routine!?!

Scottishgal78 · 25/04/2015 21:40

Oh gawd Leanne that sounds like a lot of expectation but then don't Americans only take like 2 days off for maternity or something else ridiculous?!

leanne963 · 25/04/2015 22:05

scottish i think so Shock I don't think she realises how little me and DP are going to want to do activity wise!

applecore0317 · 25/04/2015 23:35

Does she have kids Leanne?... routine after two weeks.... This is my first and even I know that is beyond unrealistic

I would just say to her that you will have to play it by ear and leave it at that

gingerfluffball · 26/04/2015 00:36

Tits Olivia sounds just gorgeous! And wouldn't worry about the birthmark, my sister was born with a really obvious one on her neck which faded over the first year and is hardly visible now she's all grown up Smile

And leanne - don't feel guilty about not being the host your American friend seems to be expecting you to be, six weeks sounds way too early for trips off to Stonehenge etc! Baby's and your needs come first, not your visitors.

Got all excited about noticing some browny discharge (sorry tmi) yesterday in case it was a show, think I was getting ahead of myself though as nothing has happened since, argh. Getting so impatient at this point, symptom spotting for possible labour just like in the dreaded two week wait!

Justyouwaitandsee · 26/04/2015 01:01

I know what you mean ginger I am lying here trying to sleep but I am getting regular fannydagger sensations which are really sharp and keep making me wince. Hoping it is linked to the cervix getting prepared for labour but who knows...it feels like such a waiting game!
