tori that sounds beyond the call of duty! And maybe you are hypnotising yourself to sleep?

Feel like I may have lost some weight since starting diabetes diet but was huge before so not going anywhere near any scales!

Scottishgal78 · 23/03/2015 19:43

Hi all! Can't believe it's thread 8!

I've put on 1.5 stone - OH has put on 2Grin. He has no willpower so doesn't take much convincing to order a Chinese!

Royalsteph · 23/03/2015 19:51

thanks for the new thread, can't believe we're on thread 8 already, I wonder how many babies will have made an appearance before the end.
I finally got reduced working hours today, so only in work from 10 - 3 with an hour lunch as well. only 19 more days till I finish completely (with 2 weeks off for easter) can't bloody wait Grin
I have aching feet today, so a nice bath is in order before bed Smile

SmileyScooby · 23/03/2015 20:48

Thanks for new thread tits

Re weighing...I want to look but am scared what they will say now...I'd put on 20lbs last time I looked...think I will also rope hubby into some sort of exercise regime (he has also had the sympathy weight hehe)

tori mine has also been lazy re housework...he always does the Hoover but hasn't I don't think for 2 weeks now (excuse will be that we were away this weekend...) I was also surprised when saw dentist that teeth appear ok, gums but inflamed but he thinks that's pregnancy related so wants to see me in 5 months to check again. I just had a check up will enquire about scale and polish as teeth feel so good after that.

leanne I don't know who it was who suggested it but wiggle fingers when have a jab. I dunno why but mine didn't really hurt or ache too much only when pressed it directly.

Re baby brain am dreading marking this coursework...need to get started ASAP before I have no adult brain left! Will be happier when get it done as other things on list (normal marking etc) I could do over easter holidays as less urgent and drop them back in over easter.

I just ate two creme eggs....without a break in between....oops

Aww smiley I love cream eggs!! They need to make them bigger!!!

Scottishgal78 · 23/03/2015 21:40

Oh smiley marking with baby brain is no fun. Marked a whole bunch the other week. Went back to look at them and had written a lot of mince about outcomes that were nothing to do with the assessments! Also made a pit of tea yesterday with no tea bags!Grin

gingerfluffball · 23/03/2015 22:32

Tori I keep doing the same listening to the hypnobirthing stuff... have only made it through once without falling asleep! Think I need to start listening sitting up Wink Whose book and cd did you go for?

applecore0317 · 24/03/2015 03:09

I bought the Maggie Howell one, one of you recommended it and it was only £11 on Amazon :)

gingerfluffball · 24/03/2015 04:51

Oh good apple same here Smile might have been me who recommended it!

Fluffeh · 24/03/2015 06:39

New thread yay! But I missed half of the last one I just couldn't keep up haha.
Today makes me 33 weeks exactly. That's a maximum of 9 weeks of I go over and need the elcs.

My spd is being horrible. I can't sleep, stand, walk or sit comfortably and it's really starting to effect my mood. I'm grumpy, tired and in pain all day and wish going to bed brought relief but it gets worse the longer I lay down. Poor dd is having to cope with grumpy mummy who can't walk anywhere and it's making me feel even worse. Sorry for ranting but in hoping here is somewhere people will understand. Dp is being great but his idea of cleaning and occupying dd effectively is not up to my usual standards. I've actually bought anti bac wipes so I can try and clean a little at a time of what he's missed.
Still in good news I'm seeing the infant feeding team next week to learn how to hand express colostrum so I can build up a small stash before the birth to top up with if needed like last time, so there will be no need for formula at all yay!
Also I have my 3rd and hopefully last growth scan next week so we'll get another peek at him before we meet him for real :).

KittyVonCatsington · 24/03/2015 06:41

Oh good grief, I have put on just under 3 stone. How depressing!

Boo to SPD Fluf you poor thing-hope it is getting manageable xx

bradders85 · 24/03/2015 07:11

Fluf totally with you on the pain front....my PGP was bad on Sunday and the most active thing I did was make a roast dinner! Also agree that it is worse for me the longer I am in bed, painful to turn over and when I actually get up those first few steps are a real pain......I sort of shuffle!! Hope it eases for all of us suffering soon.
kitty The only way to cheer yourself up is to eat some chocolate! :) All the Easter eggs are in the shops now and I have already gobbled one last week!

Hey ladies. Trying to count myself lucky that I don't have too much pain, although baby did seem to be balanced right on my coccyx as I walked to work yesterday Hmm

I am mainly feeling stressed about getting everything done before I finish next week. Woke up at 4:30 and then couldn't get back to sleep until 6:30 - half an hour before my alarm woke me again!

Can't wait for mat leave now. Does anyone else fancy joining a few of us for drinks at All Bar One Cannon St next Tuesday after work? I did post this at the end of the last thread but just doing another shout out in case it got missed! Smile

mumxof3x · 24/03/2015 09:03

Thanks for new thread tits.

I missed so much on the last one. Cant believe how fast it is all going. Dp has been re-doing the garden after work, and at first I did think oh my goodness what has he done, as he dug all of the grass up lol. But its coming on now, hes done a large decking area and done base for some artificial grass which will be down this week so will be much better for kids.

I havnt been weighed in a week, last time I got weighed id gained 18ib but im strange, some weeks I can gain like 4ib and then only gain like a 1ib or 2 in the following 5/6 weeks. Ive got a feeling I will have gained quite abit since last week with amount of chocolate and ice cream iv been eating.

Sorry to hear about pain. My hips and legs havnt been as bad this time round, only mild-Moderate, but was really awful with ds2&3 so this seems so strange. Piles have hit with a vengance though, they was just internal up until now which didnt bother me too much, but now they are not and yesterday I couldnt walk or sit and sitting in bath was a nightmare lol. Oh the glamour.

Hope everyone is ok x

applecore0317 · 24/03/2015 12:32

In that case I'll use it whenever I can't sleep Tori :D

Sorry to all those that are in pain with SPD and PGP and sorry about the piles mum, sounds horrible

Mmmm easter eggs, have been good and avoided buying one so far, but can't see that lasting too much longer!

I've just had my schedule printed till up until a week before my leave starts and am only working one Saturday between now and then happydance would normally have at least three, have been so lucky with it this time :D

Chookford · 24/03/2015 14:01

hi ladies

I am avoiding the scales so I dont upset myself... if I dont know it cant hurt me!!

Sorry to hear some of you are suffering with spd, I imagine that is really hard to cope with, I am still suffering with bouts of thrush its driving me insane... think I just need to except its not going to go until this baby is born which is not a great thought! still have 9 wks to go!

and oooo Creme Eggs are amaze balls, may have to go and get one now!!! yum yum

leanne963 · 24/03/2015 16:04

Heya ladies!! How are you all!
Had the whooping cough jab earlier :) Iis the days of numbing wipes and a lolly lol!

I'm so sorry to all the ladies having bad spd! Luckily I haven't experienced it but it sounds very painful!!

Slept ok last night but still waking up at 2am and 4am think my body is getting used to shift sleeping lol! Anyone else just walk into the nursery and just look around and can't believe there will be a little baby to occupy the room soon?!

Titsalinabumsquash · 24/03/2015 16:12

I think I've just traumatised my DS3 he's only 2 and just witnessed me being very sick close up (he came to chat to me whilst I was hugging the toilet)
He quickly ran for it before standing next to the toilet door telling me to come out and give him a hug right now! SadBlush

Blondie87 · 24/03/2015 16:54

Haha Tori every time I listen to my hypnobirthing tape, I fall asleep! Either that or I'm deeply hypnotised! Would be wonderful to be that chilled out in labour.

Fluffeh I'm sorry to hear you're SPD is bad, sounds really horrible.

Don't worry Kitty, lots of that will be baby/water/fat for breastfeeding that I'm sure will quickly go!

Sorry to hear you've been sick Tits.

My HOD gave me today off as I looked so exhausted yesterday. Have to say I really needed it! Spent most of the day snoozing on the sofa! Made me even more ready for mat leave! Three working days, Easter hols then 10 working days- the countdown has begun! I'm 32+4 and have put on 21lbs so far. It's all gone straight on the bump and boobs. My body shape is best described as a lollypop stick with an apple round the middle!

Blondie87 · 24/03/2015 16:57

Yes Leanne- I put a babygro on my bump and I still can't believe that soon my little boy will be wearing it! Made me a bit emotional.
DH has been fantastic recently I have to say. I think he's getting all the nesting urges! Our house is a bit of a doer-upper and he's spending his evenings and weekends DIYing.

applecore0317 · 24/03/2015 16:57

oh no tits poor you and your DS, although too cute that he then demandes a cuddle

leanne definitely think our sleep cycles are adjusting, I also wake up approx every two to three hours. Sometimes I go straight back to sleep but this morning was awake from 2.30 till about 4...

leanne963 · 24/03/2015 17:04

Blondie I keep watching youtube videos of little 31-33 week babies and it is amazing to see how strong they are! Can't believe i have a fully formed baby in my belly, i still can't connect bump to baby! So surreal!

Apple i always get the awake patch between 3 - 4, but last night somehow managed to sleep through! Will be interesting to see how all of our babies sleep when they are here, fingers crossed she loves her sleep as much as me ha!

Chookford · 24/03/2015 17:41

tits bless your DS... How sweet Smile
