kitty to be honest with you I didn't even know we had to do that...I just did a quick google hehe maybe I will attempt when DH is at work!

mum fingers crossed he can come home tomorrow

bradders85 · 18/04/2015 19:15

fingers crossed mum
chook no exciting updates from me! Been for a nice walk in the sun and all I get is baby kicks! Been losing a bit more of my plug when I go to the loo but nothing like I had this morning. Think I have resigned myself to waiting for the second sweep on Tuesday!!

longestlurkerever · 18/04/2015 20:44

Are any second timers doing the massage or are we cobsidered stretched enough? My mw hasn't mentioned it this time but I don't know if that's because I don't need to do it or she assumes I am.

Yy to the pressure. It's not constant but on and off pretty painful.

Pram is still not fixed bah but mamas and papas gave me some vouchers so I picked up a few bits and I have a fallback of one on gumtree I can use with my carrycot.

Hope leo is home tomorrow and things get moving for you bradders. Anyone else still at work? I have three weeks left and it's dragging.

Ooh dsis has organised me a surprise baby shower. Not sure it's the done thing second time round but v sweet of her.

Chookford · 18/04/2015 21:00

bradders booooooooooooo!!!

longest I'm not.. But I'm lazy so that would explain it!!

leanne963 · 18/04/2015 21:24

Ah sorry Mum hope he is allowed home tomorrow!!

Awwww leanne such a cutie :) bet it made you even more excited about meeting your little girl

longest thats annoying about the pram, but good that you had some vouchers

Going to try my hypnobirthing dvd again tomorrow now that my cold is going and I can do the breathing. It does send me off to sleep though...

Chookford · 18/04/2015 21:33

Oh how cute leanne such a sweetie!!!

Scottishgal78 · 18/04/2015 21:35

Oh Leanne his little face! He looks so tiny when you see your mum holding him!

jessiesw · 19/04/2015 00:12

I'm late to join the party but I am due May 5th but I think he/she will be here soon. I had both of my kiddos early so I think he/she will come early too x

Scottishgal78 · 19/04/2015 00:14

Hi Jessie we've already had a few births and its not May yet! I know I'm gonny be hanging around at the end and have a June baby! Due May 24th!

gingerfluffball · 19/04/2015 00:33

Hi Jessie, we're due date buddies! Not long to go til 5/5 now... especially if yours have a habit of arriving early Smile

aberjen · 19/04/2015 06:24

leanne what a little cutie!

mum fingers crossed Leo is home with you very soon x

Welcome Jessie Smile

Re perineal massage as a second timer (sorry on phone and can't remember who asked), my mw did suggest it to me this time, but that was because I had both an episiotomy and a tear with DD. Mw last time told me not to bother as she didn't think it made any difference. Must confess haven't tried it mainly because it seems like a logistical nightmare with bump getting on the way!

applecore0317 · 19/04/2015 07:40

Welcome Jessie never too late :) I'm due May 27th but also feel like she is not goinf to hang around till then :)

Hadn't thought about the logistics of the bump aberjen hmmmm it's going to be interesting

Chookford · 19/04/2015 08:05

Welcome jessie I'm due 24/5 but baby is breech so may be making a slightly earlier appearance...

I've just woken up!!! Fabulous!!

Blondie87 · 19/04/2015 08:18

leanne that is fab news about your nephew! Congratulations to your family.
Bradders I hope things get going for you soon.
Kitty I'm going to have to swallow my pride and dignity and ask DH to do perineal massage... Cringe.
I know I shouldn't be but I'm really annoyed with my friend. She came to visit yesterday after throwing up all morning and having an upset stomach, thinking she has Norovirus. Why would you not cancel if your friend was 8 months pregnant?? I'm really worried I'm going to come down with it. Apparently it can induce labour! arrrgh!

Blondie87 · 19/04/2015 08:32

Fingers crossed for you mumofx3 x

applecore0317 · 19/04/2015 09:17

blondie that's annoying! My uncle told me on new years day after I gave him a hug that he has spent the day before throwing up with a bug... I wasn't impressed and came down with it that weekend!

However I can tell you, that if your friend had Norovirus she wouldn't have been able to make it out of the house let alone go visit anyone. It is horrendous! So it is probably just a bit of a bug, still pretty selfish though

LinaDee · 19/04/2015 09:26

Blondie - I'd be annoyed too! That's really thoughtless. Hope you don't catch anything from her.

Gorgeous Leanne!!! Grin

Welcome Jessie - your due the day after me ?? I'm hoping to go early too - I can't imagine another 4 weeks of being pregnant!!

My DD, DH and I walked the esplanade in our town and back yesterday - just over 2 miles. We had a lovely day but I now I understand why my physio told me I need to rest up. I was sent to her because of a mild case of SPD and haven't really been noticing it much lately other than at night, so thought a wee walk would be ok but apparently not. I've barely slept a wink and moving around today is very painful. I feel like such an idiot!

KittyVonCatsington · 19/04/2015 09:27

leanne Those photos are ace! So pleased for you and your SiL Grin

Welcome and good luck jessie! I'm due May 3rd but is my first so god knows when she will arrive! Just enjoying my maternity leave now Wink

With my perineal massage, I sit on my side of the bed and lean back in a pillow with one foot on the floor and one on the edge of the bed. I only use one thumb but I can reach round easily and just do the u-shaped movements for about a minute a day. I do this before my shower Blush

Oh God Blondie - I feel your pain-that's so unfair! About a month ago, a friend turned up with her toddler who had had a hacking caugh for a couple of weeks and was seeing the GP on the way to seeing me but didn't tell me. Needless to say, a week later I got a hacking cough. Not pleasant at 32 weeks Angry I hope you get a lucky escape xx

Cockbollocks · 19/04/2015 12:55

I'm sorry, I've come on to moan.

I got no sleep last night, constant painful braxton hicks, backache, solid belly and horrendous pressure pain.

Seems to have stopped today, apart from the pressure. Oh my god I'm tired Sad

SweetPeaSoup · 19/04/2015 13:47

I posted once before, then promptly lost the thread! I'm due 16/05 and just wanted to sympathise with having a hacking cough. This is just what my pelvic floor and bruised ribs (I fell over a couple of days ago, but spent awhile having a trace done and all was fine) don't need!

Have taken myself to bed claiming that I'm carrying a boy, so I'm entitled to wallow in manflu for a bit. Wish I was starting maternity leave sooner than 05/05!

applecore0317 · 19/04/2015 14:27

Make sure you get some rest cock I find that a hot water bottle helps at night. Have you got a mifwife appt coming up?

Glad everything is ok after your fall Sweetpea and hope you feel better soon, quite right claiming man flu when carrying a boy! Wonder if I can claim moodiness is a result of additional hormones carrying a girl.... :D

SweetPeaSoup · 19/04/2015 15:09

Thanks apple! I figure that we've got to the point now that we don't really need to blame anything on anything other than being very pregnant Grin
